​@@Rob-gp6yb I think the real reason it was green screen was because they weren't able to find a time when Tina and Conan could work at the same time. So it's more a happy accident that the green screening adds to her ignore him rather than the intentional effect.

@@MikeMJPMUNCHI think it has more to do with him not working at NBC anymore and living in LA. Plus they had an ongoing joke on the last episode about how NBC makes them use green screen to save money

I think more of a reason is 30 Rock is set in the NBC building (Rockefeller) and Conan did not (or was not invited to) want to go in there after the whole debacle lol

I like how long it takes for Tracy to sit down since Conan has said he doesn't like it when guests take forever to sit down.

It's the role he was born to play.

I love the recurring gag on that Tracy has these huge body guards not to protect Tracy but to protect others from Tracy lol.

Jack McBrayer watching Late Night with Conan on 30 Rock is all kinds of meta self-referentiality. I love that he got to pretend to be on a show he used to work on. Plus was that Molly Shannon at the very beginning being mistaken for another SNL actress? Nice touch.

Why would writers tone down Conan playing Conan? It's like they gave him Xanax 😅

Actually the ensemble is quite sad considering conan got kicked off late night, tina got stabbed in the face when she was little, alec baldwin accidentally shot that lady on his movie set, and tracy morgan got into a life altering tractor trailer accident.

It's one of the best shows period for meta comedy, clips could never do its sensibilities justice. If you don't like meta jokes you might not like it though. I always thought it seemed corny until i gave it a chance, ended up loving it.

@@GustyWizard so an acquired taste? Several sitcoms are like that. But for me the "comedic actors" of 30 Rock just don't cut it. Nowhere near the levels of acting and writing in VEEP for example.
