Actually, it´s kinda cool the way ot looked before restoration, as well. Genuinely spent over by time. Lot of history there.

Man those kids in the 30s had the best toys. Great reatorations.

I'll put this at the top-level since I see a few comments about it: the NRA logo firmly dates the trucks to no earlier than 1933. That one, with the "we do our part" motto, was from the National Recovery Administration, a US Federal agency formed during the Great Depression, existing from 1933 until 1935.

Oddly enough, the National Rifle Assn. HQ was located in the same building as the National Recovery Admin.

As I have seen several of these restorations, I have been noticing that many of this manufacturers undercarriages have two, rear wheel mounting positions. Am guessing these chassis' are used on several different models, depending on the location of the rear wheel wells. Great job on breathing new life into these incredible toys.

My favorite of all your restorations. I also love the opening when you use the tow truck to select which one you're going to restore.

That really came out looking sharp. I love the vehicles from the 30's

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pa and I truly appreciate this restoration.

I'm in love with those spring green hubs. ♥ And DANG, 2 batteries with some BRIGHT lights! lol

Toys were made so much better back in the day, you did a wonderful job bringing this toy back from the big toy box in the sky!

I love watching your restorations, they are very relaxing and inspiring, making the old new again. And I adore the sheep too😊👍

Watching the sand blasting is an anxiety relief. The light mechanism is so simple, no wires or switches, yet it looks so amazing, great work 👍🏽.

What a truly magical gift to present to a child during the time that this toy was made. The mystic way the headlights come on would doubtless have been as delightful for a child then, as it was for me now, just seeing you bring this toy back from the brink of destruction and loss.

My husband used to tell me stories about the “rolling store” coming to his parent’s farm. This is probably how his “rolling store” looked

Yes I remember services like the milkman, Charles chips, something akin to Swans, Fuller brush, and of course the much awaited ice cream man with his musical truck! Those days are gone, so sad because many older people could benefit from such services if they were affordable.

I remember having milk, in glass bottles, delivered to the front door and placed in a metal box. The caps were paper. Hell even when I was in elemntary school we had glass pint bottles of milk. Those were the days.

My apartment building was constructed in the 1960s. There is a small pass-through between the storage room and the hallway. It is now sealed, of course, but my landlord told me that its original purpose was for milk delivery. I do not know how long the service was maintained.

Hey I just love it. Love when you start the sandblasting and seeing the start of a real facelift to new.

I love how crude the headlights are on these toys. Just a bulb screwed into a socket.

I love watching "Chip Channels" you bought Tonka Toys Vintage from Ebay. You restore them then paint them again. Awesome video!

Boy that one cleaned up nice!

See, now this one I'd have cleaned up and made necessary repairs, plated the brightwork, because it had 90% of it's paint. I'd have shined that up and let it stand on its own merits with the rest of it refreshed. But carry on. I'm sure it's proud of it's shiny new coat. 🙂 Happy toys make the world a better place.

This toy restoration is legit and at the same time therapeutic 😉

An easy way to clean rubber is to spray it with pledge furniture polish. Let it dry and crumble off and it takes the dirt with it. Might save you some time. Love the videos.

You restore these toys to better than new condition.

This ones a cool one. I've seen one be restored before, but the video quality on this is better.
