For 1930, this recording is quite exotic, ahead of it's time. I really like it !!!

I'll say it is - and I like it as well!
This music is sensational. The Nat Shilkret orchestra sounds here somehow more modern than 1930. A real treat. No words can describe my bliss when I am listening to this song. Congratulations for your taste and thank you for sharing Mr Prozoot.

This was written for a now forgotten Columbia feature film {later released by Mascot}, "Africa Speaks!" (1930).
love it! it's musical kitsch at its best...especially the lyrics. fun! thank you.
By the way, those languid vocals are wild fun. How did they manage to sing so high and low in so short a time?? Wonderful.
Pretty cool 😎 Thanks!
Recorded on September 9, 1930.
This divine!
That song gives me a very king kong vibe
Awesome! Thanks for posting!
Love this, i hope more of these records pop up
I'd like to hear the flip side of this recording.
Shades of Zulu Wail!
How come is it that the instruments sound great but the featured vocalists always sound like they're singing through a telephone? They've already switched to the crooning technique, so I know it's not carryovers from the acoustic recording era.
This is not avilable in HD. Only 720p.
