I can't get your code PREORDER20 to work with your link to preorder Atelier Sophie 2 i get this error message...The coupon you entered cannot be used! The coupon either does not exist, is already expired, cannot be used with the products from your order or is linked to a different customer account. I tried with this item by itself and tried with this and another item in my cart. It would not work either way. Any idea why? Also, youtube keeps deleting my comment not sure why either...lol

i think he ought to make a Part 2 next spring, considering the dai ou jou port being released in december and a number of games having been released since he made this video. it is the most comprehensive video on youtube that lists the good scrolling shooters though. even if he didn't mention mushihimesama . which is truly odd.

UGH! 😫 I blew it! I per ordered Deathsmiles at Strictly Limited before I realized there was a version on PA. I guess I'll let you know how it turned out in 10 months or so.

I'm glad a lot of the games that were supposed exclusives or limited releases got restocks. I got a LOT of the games from lists like these recently, no upcharges or insane collector prices. Just waiting on my order that has this one and a few others in. Always have to get that tasty free shipping to US.

Just missing the psikyo collections from Play Asia there nice and affordable. Would love it if Radiant Silver Gun came to the switch with cotton Saturn games I hope we get some more Saturn shmups 👍

@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 Yeah I've not picked it up yet for that reason. The Sega Saturn for many years was my favourite console until the switch arrived. Just having some Saturn games emulated makes me hopeful we will see some more re-releases of Saturn classics. Not enough people have played Guardian Heroes, Radiant Silver Gun, Kingdom Grand Prix etc...

I love shmups but I am very bad at them. "...download replays in order to study their techniques..." 😑 ahhh got it...

I haven't got any schmups for my switch yet and I much prefer physical releases. If you had 1 schmup choice, what would it be? and remember I have played a few down the years but am no way an old hand at shmups. Oh BTW great video m8. Can't wait for the next one.

Steredenn would be my recommendation. If you want physical though you will have to look for it on eBay as it was a limited print.

E.S.P. Rade PSI and Aleste Collection are both 10/10 releases and I don't regret importing either one. (Though both could be considered to be acquired tastes.) Mushihimesama just came out and is my GOTY for Switch this year. The publisher's other release, Espaluga 2, is also quite good, but more difficult imo. Lastly, I believe Blackbird is on sale for $10 right now on the eshop in NA and is one of my favorite games on the system. It's weird and complex, with secrets and a good difficulty curve.

The listing in play asia says that the input lag in cotton collection, is going to be fixed with an update.

Do most people use the dpad or analog stick for shmups?

Bought deathsmiles collection on 1 and 2 from strictly limited. Hopefully I get it this decade lol. Love the switch for it's shump and Metroidvania selections Now if they only rerelease cannon spike on it my life would be complete

i want to see Border Down and Strania the Stella Machina on switch but at this point it'll never happen. Natsuki Chronicles and Ginga Force would also be good ports.

Gunbird is a classic! I would have included them if NIS America didn’t release it to retail

I have Dimension Drive, Ghost Blade HD, Kyogeki Quartet Fighters, Pawarumi, RXN Raijin, Shikhondo Soul Eater AND R-Type Dimensions EX which is a port of R-Type I & II from strictly limited which is not on this list. But it is a great release. Just like Jordan; GREAT! ALSO JUST A REMINDER, SUPPORT SERENITY FORGE, CAUSE LRG SAID SO!

I had to pay $500 USD for Ghost Blade HD, RXN Raijin and Shikhondo. I emailed Eastasiasoft to ask if there was going to be a reprint of those games and they said no, so if you see them cheap, BUY THEM.

Aleste Collection is probably my favorite one. GG Aleste 3 is way too cool

100% salavation!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍✌ Need to sell my kidneys. The only ones i have phyisically are Rolling Gunner - sublime experience. And Space Invaders Collectors - totally love it but damn TAITO for the way they milked fans on that one. My biggest wants are Esp Ra Da, the Aleste Collection and Death Smiles. I just had to settle for E shop versions of some of these - with other stuff I enjoy - have to take my time with adds - not cheap. Thanks friends!! 🕹 👽👽👽👽 🕹

Shouldn’t be surprised this list didn’t include AsteBreed. (Which goes on sale for like $2. Very often.) Then again, this is a list for physical Shumps. And unfortunately AsteBreed never got a switch physical release compared to the PS4 version which was done by LRG’s. Nevertheless still a pretty solid Shump game that changes its perspective as you go through each stage (2.5D/3D.) Plus the game has a great JP Voice acting cast, fantastic soundtrack & nice character illustrations to go with some of the story based cutscenes. A must have for anime style shump fans out there. Plus the game was developed by Edlewiese, same guys that developed Sakuna of Rice & Ruin. Clearly this developer of 2 employees are truly talented if they can develop not only an action rpg with rice farming simulation (Sakuna of rice & ruin.) on top of the affirmation Shump game (AsteBreed.)
