I played in a play in a WSOP tournament at Binions 15 years ago. I came in 43rd place. It is still one of the WSOP moments EVER!
Biggest accomplishment at wsop by far is Merson's 2012 win of the 10k 6-max and the 10k main back to back!
Great content! Keep up the good work! :)
Jack's story is why the addage "All you need is a chip and a chair" - to never give up.

The best story is the actor's skills who played Jack Straus on "The Stu Unger Story"
Barbara Enright won her way through an online satellite? In 1995? Are you sure? Online poker wasn't really around back then.
appreciate the effort you put into these videos

Baxter did not go to Ungar to buy him in for his third win, Ungar pestered Baxter when he was at a poker table to stake him. At the table, Baxter also famously said (as a joke), “Stuey, if there’s one hand that you’re not at the table, I’m gonna kill you.” Another crazy Ungar Baxter story: Baxter buys Ungar into the main event, and Ungar laps the field on day one, amassing a huge chip lead and appearing ready to run the field over. Unfortunately he then goes back to his room that night and overdoses on cocaine. They take him to the hospital and he misses the other two days of the tournament. But he had accrued so many chips that he actually blinded all the way through day 2, and ended up making the final table before finally blinding out in 9th place and cashing in the tournament. That was the reason Baxter made the joke about Ungar missing hands in the tournament.

I like the story Mike Sexton tells. He talks about staking him and one day he was right for money. So when he ran into Stu Stu said before Sexton could ask “right now you’re at the top of the list. If you say anything. You’re going to the bottom of the list” and Sexton was like “no no no”

Honorable mention: Chris Ferguson won millions of dollars off thousands of players without even playing a single hand against them.

very true, he had 3 big blinds left on day 5 or 6, cant remember which, also folded s set of aces against elisabeth hille which had he called, he was gone
The cada story is nuts
This was the first time I've finally got to see what exactly the run-outs where for Doyle's 10-2 hands and now I'm just curious what the stack sizes where... nobody ever talks about that lol. Thanks for the vid ;)

why is Doyle holding 10c 3d at 15:45 ?
You forgot to mention that Merson won the Main Event directly after winning the 10k 6 max. Easily one of the greatest achievements in poker history
I'm alittle shocked you didn't end with a R.I.P. to the godfather of poker Doyle Brunson!

I'm assuming this vid was made before he passed away. But they could've added something post-production at the end
I remember when that blind guy won a bracelet... Nobody knew he was blind until after he won.
You forgot that Leo Margets won a WSOP bracelet in 2021.
I love how so many people use the term "conspiracy theorist" as a slur or an attack to try and win an argument or discredit someone. In this particular case with Daniel, if you think he didn't know exactly how many points he had at any given time, especially how invested in it he was, then I have some beachfront property in Mongolia to sell you. It's also not a conspiracy when it's just one guy, by definition. "no hard evidence", like what? A voice recording of Daniel saying he knew? A text to a friend? What proof could possibly be found without a direct confession? A conspiracy would be the WSOP and staff to make Daniel the winner which I don't believe happened as they have far to much rep to lose if found to be true. A bit like if you and an opponent table a hand and the other player misread their hand. The dealer doesn't catch it, shoves you the pot, and you know it's a mistake but don't say anything. It's not a conspiracy theory just one dishonest guy.
Maybe it’s not this type of video, but the fact that you don’t have the “quad aces versus royal flush” hand in this video is crazy.

In a daily I almost did the one chip. I had 2 $500 chips and cashed a tournament as the chip leader. Once I got up to leave and found out my opponent got counterfeited..
Helmuth has 17 now :)
At the time of this comment, this video is one month old, but it is already out of date regarding the number of bracelets Phil Helmuth has won, the largest Main Event field and largest Main Event winner's prize. Otherwise, it's a solid video.
I forgot J.C. Tran rocked a Sacramento Kings shirt that day. MY MAN.

Chalk up 17 bracelets for the greatest of all time
I mean, 2012 had women finishing 10th and 11th, I would imagine that was a pretty close occurrence
Doyle has looked old even way back when he was young
Phil Hellmuth is the greatest WSOP tournament player in history. His accomplishments will never be matched.

@@dis_joint_ed5167only time will tell. I doubt it. Hellmuth is still winning, it's not like he won years ago and can't still win. He has what around a dozen more than Deeb as of now? He has adjusted and adapted to continue to win wsop bracelets. He is a douche at time, but a helluva tournament player
Two twenty dollars? Huh? Lol
2:11 Did he get a bracelet for that ?
He cashed in for 10k and was the only player. That reminds me of some of Phil hellmuths wins. Especially his so called main event! Lol
Why is there no mention of Kevin Malone. By far the greatest ever
