    You left out the best part of the quote. “Some day, I suppose it's possible for someone to be a better no limit hold 'em player than me. I doubt it, but it could happen.” “But, I swear to you, I don't see how anyone could ever play gin better than me.” Gin was always his strength, Hold’em was more prestigious and a quicker buck

    GOAT of poker did it before all this studying, books, online forums, the Bobby Fisher of poker. A real gambler living crazy right on the edges constantly coming back from near death. He layed the foundations of the argo style of play and the rest followed. If he only was to be alive can’t image how much he would of contributed to game.

    Probably not much. Stuey wasn't a good student or teacher, he never put in the work at anything, he never made any real contributions to the world. His peers considered him to be the best but he's more of a cautionary tale than anything else.

    So on Doug Polks video Kane just said the bet with the 6 deck shoe... they counted out 3 of the 6 decks and stu had to tell them what the remaining cards were in the 3 decks for 100k

  • @Scott-wq5lk

    @Scott-wq5lk

    2 жыл бұрын

    I saw that podcast too; Kane is incorrect unless he's directly mentioning a different bet. Mike Sexton was sitting next to Ungar as Bob Stupak bet him 10K on one deck that he couldn't name the last card, and Stu did it. It's possible that there was a different bet with a 6 deck shoe but I think it's more likely that the one deck story got spun up to 6 decks as people continued to tell it over time.

I've sure you've seen the ads by now: "1st time deposit match up to $1000". That's a promotion. Real world casinos don't offer anything so lucrative but there are still a bunch to be taken advantage of.
