18 Hours Casting for a Pier/Beach Monster
Ойын-сауық
A few months ago I decided that I wanted to catch one specific species in a very specific way. This led me to spend 18 hours of time casting and fishing the pier/beach for some monsters. While pier and beach fishing I make multiple mistakes, and fail many times, BUT, this turned out to be one heck of an adventure!
Catching a full sized Blacktip Shark on a Topwater Lure was one of the most challenging things I've ever tried!

Yesss two of my fav fishing channels
I really enjoy your videos, the first Blacktip I caught on the beach I was using an old bait caster with a small handle I think I had 50lb test and a 40lb leader . It took about an hour to land him about 110 lbs, it took the strength from my soul to hang on what a memory .
I need more of this pier action. 🔥🔥🔥

Gotta change it up every once and a while
Another tip: titanium leader, use the AFW 100lb, I like 7 Strand, Single strand Works too, just need to change it after a couple of days fishin' or it can break out of the blue. It's not metallic like steel and doesn't catch hooks hardly at all unlike cable. Just much safer when catchin' sharks or cudas
Supporting the longer videos!
Amazing!🙌🎣

I always disable the drag clicker on my spinning reels, that smooths out the drag out and one less thing to go wrong.
Where were you at with that dark beach sand? Looks like down in the gulf around Venice and Manasota Key, based off the sand color.
Nice video cool
“Man they’re chewin at Wabasso” 💀😂

What lb line and reel size on the one with the power handle and white braid
what white braid are you using?
Might have been an black tip or a spinner, they can grow over 200lb, pretty much unheard of in the US but in place like south Africa it's pretty common, so who knows. They can wrap in the line to fray through the braid. But a hammer is a possibility too. And even a 150lb tippy can kick your butt on 40lb braid and the lighter drag that comes with it, even if you have 400-500 yards
If you're after giants then get a bottle of water you can pour on the spool. It can save the day.
There’s always a Hispanic guy who wants your fish.
What poppers did you use?
Man says can I have it almost immediately after photos. Man’s looked like he didn’t even need it
Agreed with vic long vids for the wind

Yo-Zuri pencil popper and bull pop.
There is people that would eat anything, even a tasteless jack crevalle.
Ryan, I’m thinking about getting a spheros 6k what’s your opinion on it and what braid do you think I should use on it?
@RyanMorie
2 жыл бұрын
Probably the best $150 saltwater spinner on the market. I’d fish 30 or 40lb braid on it. One of my favorite brands right now is the Daiwa J Braid 8 strand.
If you're reel is gettin' warm and I mean warm, not hot, and the fish won't stop, have your buddy pour water on it to prevent line damage, it's not so much that the line actually melts, not on today's top spinners, but it still looses lots of strength and integrity startin' at around 150 Fahrenheit. Just some frequent rinsin' while the food sh pulls line does the trick.
Is the x rap you guys use sub walk? And what oz and length?
@RyanMorie
2 жыл бұрын
Nope it’s the diving version. Size 14. Don’t know oz or length
The drag clicker on the spheros isn't as loud as the previous generation.
wow
What pier is this ?
I've caught them on artificial before oddest was on doc goofy jigs
what pier is this
What 6k reel was your friend using? Thanks

Do you get points for the number of times you God’s name?
