18.1 Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution | Organic Chemistry
Chad provides a thorough introduction to Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution (EAS) reactions in this lesson. He begins with the general mechanism of EAS reactions before covering the specific mechanisms of four EAS reactions: bromination, chlorination, sulfonation, and nitration.
I've created an organic chemistry page that organizes all my videos by chapter - just an easier way for you to watch my KZread videos. Check it out at www.chadsprep.com/chads-organ...

just want to say that your videos are really helpful and I appreciate your efforts man. Usually, I study starting 6 am and finish at 5PM per chapter using solomon's organic chemistry book but with your videos I can finish 1 chapter in less than an hour using 1.5 speed. Thanks a lot🎉.

Thanks....twice!
I see you have bromination with Br2/FeBr3 and Chlorination with Cl2/AlCl3... in class we are taught Halogenation includes Br2 and Cl2 with FeX3 (X = the halogen). Does Cl2 just accept either reagent for the reaction? (Not talking about Friedel-Crafts)
