    Got suggestions for what design I could do this time? Let me know in the comments!

    Previously you had it designed like river right? Maybe since you are adding height maybe one or multiple waterfalls could work with the Echeveria elegans.

    @@LuckystrikeGFXer yeah I'm currently toying with the idea of staggered terraces using the large bowls. I will need to play around with the positioning and available space first.

    Nikki is so cute and growing so much! 🤗 I agree with Anthony to support your mounding at the front and sides. Can use your pots, rocks and rubble. It just depends how much of an elevation you decide to go with overall. I knew there was a lot of plants in that section, but really realise how much when you see them out in the trays. Looking fwd to part 2 😊

    I'll have to see what sort of materials I could scrounge up for the borders, but yeah I'm liking the idea of just making more terraces out of the big bowls. That would also save me some soil.

    Doing Great Chuck and welcome back to your garden- I also are returning after a few years under the weather health wise. Off this topic is it possible sometime you do a vid on Why and How MealyBugs are introduced, there are many clips on how to treat them once we have them on our succs-but not on the science on why we get them and how to avoid them. Would appreciate it please and we all know you are the perfect man for this .

    Get inspiration from Laura Eubanks and Design for Serenity. You have so many plants. I am preparing my boarders too of similar size and dimensions. We are starting our spring in the 🇬🇧 but typically rain ☔ stops play. So inside I go. Saw your video 🔔 notification so time for a drink and watch . I feel how tired you are. Undulations in your boarders with rubble rock to raise the front so the soil won't wash over the grass. Use big boulders for a dramatic look. Ribbon the plants to create a tapestry. ☀ 🌵 ☀ 🌵 ☀ 🌵 🇬🇧. Keep up the good work.

    Hey bro, you might want to consider burying an AG pipe with sack for drainage purposes to easily route excess water. But requires a bit of digging. Design wise Banaue rice terraces :)

    As for the smaller gravel, except if you want to keep it for cost purposes, why not just mixing it into the dirt? This would reduce the work and also contribute to drainage.

    So wonderful! The succulents look very happy (at least most of them ;)) . Here in Virginia we just got more snow, so my succulents have to stay indoors . How do you control pests if the plants are so crowded ? Have this ever happened? Just wondering. Might there be runoff if you raise it in certain ways?

  • @Cerriscapades

    @Cerriscapades

    I am as surprised as you are that the pest problem is not as bad as I expected after just neglecting them for months. I imagine they have burnt back in summer, or had all sorts of bite marks but they just outgrew the damage. There were lots of snails underneath the canopy. I saw faint traces of past mealies in some roots, but no infestations. All the flowers have already dried out so I can't tell if they were ravaged by mealies and aphids. So yeah, I'm not really sure how to answer your question about managing pests apart from I've just been ignoring them back when I didn't have the time to do videos!
