Glad to see you back Chuck!😁 I neglected my garden for 6 or more months when I had a family member passed away.
So glad to see you back! I thought you’d disappeared behind a paywall. Life is a juggling trick, and with work & young children it’s often exhausting and hard to manage everything we’d like. We have to prioritize our energy, needs, relationships & work obligations so sometimes something has to be (temporarily?) given up so we can keep our stress at manageable levels. I really enjoy your knowledge and the beauty of your garden. We can all probably relate to having neglected our plants or yards at some time. Welcome back, Chuck.

I was wondering how you were going and if you had been gardening again or not. Amazing the difference mowing made and your lil helper, she's grown so much! 🌵🌴🌸
Welcome back Chuck. Life all gets the better of us at times, I too have a lot of garden rehab that needs to be done. I look forward to seeing your videos again.

Long awaited video but glad to have you back!!👍🏻
It’s good to see you again! Glad everything’s well and can’t wait to see you at your garden again! Your plants still look so good 😊
You and the family did an amazing job 🥰
Chuck its so good to have u back! In life there are phases when we have manicured gardens and then we have weeds take over! As long as we go back n take out d weeds!! U did a fantastic job of cleaning up that grass!
It's hard to keep on top of the weed growth with the wet summer we have been having. Then hot days to follow and dealing with fungal issues , rot etc. Many Succulents suffering from the wet humid conditions. I'm glad you are doing well and the kids have grown quickly too, like weeds-ha ha. Take care and glad to see you back in the garden.
Good to have you back! 👏🏽☺️
Nice to see you again! I’ve been looking for new videos and wondering if things were ok with you. Welcome back and waiting for new garden inspiration.
Nice seeing you back! I did the same, but I had few survivors in my hot and rainy Florida weather. Rebuilding now. I miss them. This will be awesome to help me recover my garden. Thank you!
Good to see you again!! Missed your videos.
Its great to see yah pal, Its below freezing here thismorning and im dreaming of summer
Welcome back, we missed you! Saludos desde Honduras 🇭🇳
So glad to see you back again! Look forward to seeing your upcoming updates and videos.
Very happy to see you back. During your pause I really missed the quality of your videos (content+format). Always instructive - for beginners but also for not-exactly-beginners anymore - and fun to watch. Can't wait for the next ones. Thank you for this & greetings from the French Atlantic coast.
Enjoyed watching the garden clean up, gave me a great sense of satisfaction . job well done and very glad you're back.
Welcome back Chuck and greetings from south Texas, glad to see you at it again. Love your garden, it still looks great. It can get overwhelming at times, I let mine go for quite a while too. I'm excited to finally get back out there and start caring for it again. As many casualties as I had in the garden I was amazed at how resilient succulents are, and how many survived in spite of me. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Woow a lot of work there! I'm glad to see that you're back, I loved your videos
It was great seeing you again I’ve missed you and I’m glad you and the family are doing well. I can’t wait to see your garden transformation. Wishing you well and looking forward to new content. 😊

Happy to see you back, Kuya! Your channel made for a really calming watch, especially during the first stretch of the pandemic. Just want to thank you for that. Best wishes to you and your fam and looking forward to your garden rehab journey.
I loved the background music!

Welcome back - we here in So California have learned so much from your teaching,
You have enough stellar content to keep helping us. It'll be fun to see what's next. I LOVE seeing your children too!
Finally you are back sir!!! Hoping for a more videos!
Yay!!! Your back 😊😊😊😊
Hi Chuck so good to see you! I haven't put out a video in over a year... Glad you like your new job and sorry to hear about the allergies. Both are totally understandable reasons for not being out in the garden and/or making videos. This was such a satisfying cleanup video - that grass gets wicked tall! Succulents thrive on neglect though if planted correctly, so yours look really good! Greetings from the US PS. Your kids grew so much!
Wow! I too was wondering what had happened? But it’s good to see that you’re back!
Chuck, it's great to see you again. Kids and weeds grow really fast! Can't wait to see the return of your amazing plants and beautiful yard. Glad to hear you and your family are ok. It's been a rough 2 years. Happy to hear your work is fulfilling but surprised that you don't miss the office/corporate environment. You are a social and considerate guy and that part of your personality comes through in all of your videos. Thank you many times over for all of the information and time you have shared with your hundreds of videos. I consider you a "plant professor" of succulents.

Oh I'm a huuuuuuge introvert haha! I can't keep up and maintain the energy around people. That's part of the reason why I started gardening in the first place, so I can have the the time and place to unwind and spend time with myself while doing something away from my phone and computer.

@@Cerriscapades What!!! You come across with so much personality that no one could imagine you as an introvert! Wishing all the best for you and your family this year. My 3 racks of succulents under grow lights thank you for teaching me so much about their care.
So glad to see you back!!! I have to say I was a bit shocked to see your garden because you always kept it immaculate but that's the reality of life and it's ok I wish I could not work and spend all day in my garden but that's not reality, you've been so honest to show us everything Looking for to seeing more videos Wishing you and your family well wishes

It felt like a spooky movie in the beginning 😂 So glad that you're back!!
Great to see you back Chuck. I've been neglecting my succs too & slowly getting outside to tend to them. Look forward to your upcoming videos!!
Good to have you back
WOW!! I was surprised to see your garden looking more like ours.. we just got ours tidied up too... the amount of rain has been crazy and grass and weeds have grown too well!!! Good to see you again :)
Just watched your kids grow up in four videos straight on one sitting. Lol. Wow…after watching a few others first…this one really makes me appreciate how much work it is to maintain. Especially with allergies! Would not have guessed the grass and weeds were so much work. But when it gets so long and much rain then it is. Also, I looked at the date, Feb, then you said middle of summer and I was confused ..til you wrote Australia! Lol. I’m in California. Oh..and the beginning of this video with the music was movie quality…those big bad invasive weeds! You’re a good producer. And the indoor recording works just fine. Thanks!
Was wondering how you were doing! Glad to see that you are OK. If you feel like sending any plants to USA, I'd happily take your 'tossed' pieces!! Even pay for shipping! You have always kept the most incredible garden! I'm just happy to see you back!!
Will comeback your video were miss glad to have you back

glad to see u family okay. bit hard yakka it all lovely again
Soo glad to see a new video.
I have an online indoor all the time job too, but my garden and shopping for food makes it possible to get vitamin D and I think also helps my eyesight not deteriorate so quickly
HELLO!!! Long time no videos, should I say welcome back Chuck! I always enjoy your videos, your kids are growing fast now you can do more videos you got help I see your baby pretty girl. Good idea start of training he he he... watching you from San Jose California
Hey, good to see you back 😊
Wooohoooo chucks back!!!!
welcome back
It's a whole lot easier when you do simple maintenance on your yard I know you've been busy but it's easier to take the time out just to cut the grass and weed whack the edges it'll save you hours in manual labor if you do maintenance

I agree. It also helps if you're in the mental state to do things. In my case I wasn't really feeling like doing any outdoor things. I just stayed indoors. I wasn't motivated enough to chip away at my garden.

Self motivation is one of the hardest things to do I struggle with it myself I put things off to the last minute all the time I live in Pennsylvania for instance I built the greenhouse that I had for the last three years last year in the fall time didn't even get to use it is that put it off building it to the fall time life is short have you put things off to the last minute I feel that life will pass you by I was just way for years and I still struggle with self motivation I wish you luck and I definitely miss seeing your show good luck my friend

@@Cerriscapades it's great to see you back! I was just wondering where you'd gone. Congratulations on your new job and no commute! I agree regarding mental state. If you find other interests, it's "out of sight, out of mind" But it doesn't take much to get back on track when you're ready, as evidenced from your video. Long story, but when Covid hit, I had just begun to make pocket $ selling succulents and arrangements on Facebook Marketplace. I was in my greenhouse maintaining it almost every day. Covid restrictions and uncertainty took the wind from my sails in a big way. As a result, I completely lost my passion for gardening for the past 2 years. Plus, my fiance was working brutal hours and was too tired to work with me to maintain our large yard. Our yard was our project together and it just wasn't the same without him. The greenhouse and garden got neglected, we hired someone to mow the lawn instead of doing it ourselves. I took up new indoor hobbies, and completely forgot about my succulents. As a result, the mealy bugs took over. I ended up tossing most of my greenhouse "babies". I still have a bunch outside that weren't as affected, but won't be doing greenhouse succulents anymore, because fighting mealy bugs feels like a losing battle. We're finally getting back into gardening and outdoor things now that my finance's workload has decreased. We spent a few days here and there tidying the yard and it looks fine now. I turned my front porch beds into a tidy, low maintenance rock garden with potted plants/succulents on top. No more tearing out huge weeds every spring, yay! This year, we'll be concentrating on different varieties of California Poppies, Iceland Poppies, Oriental poppies, and other heirloom type flowers to brighten up our yard. Bugs don't like them and they bloom from spring until late Fall and require minimal water to thrive. Water is very expensive here, so we also realized it's cheaper to purchase veggies than to grow our own, so no veggie garden this year, either. We're simplifying so we can just enjoy our yard as a family, rather than spending hours and hours maintaining it.

@@francesca6301 Oh my that resonates with me so much! When I started collecting succulents, I was in a job that actually felt like a job. Succulents was a hobby, an escape for me. When the pandemic hit, it gave me more time to spend in the garden. At first I was obviously thrilled, but it started to feel like it was a turning into a job. Too much of a good thing and all that. It got worse when the postal service was getting overburdened. I stopped selling after that because I didn't want people to receive dead or dying plants in the mail due to all the delays. Soon after I simply just lost the passion for maintaining the garden because at the time I was made redundant at my previous job. I was busy upskilling and looking for new jobs. No time for my hobbies. Then as I mentioned in the video, I found a job that I absolutely enjoyed. I already get my fill there. No need for any hobby to keep me sane. So that coupled with my allergies simply pushed gardening to the wayside up until today. 😅

@@Cerriscapades I completely understand. It felt so strange to go from gardening as a passionate hobby to feeling "blah" about it all. Part of the joy for me was sharing them with others, so when that was suddenly taken away, the motivation was gone. I've been hoping to feel excited about getting out in the yard again this spring. Planting flower seeds and watching them bloom should bring back some of the spark I lost. I wish you all the best as you get back to it at a pace you can enjoy. It really looked great after the weed pulling and grass trimming. And it made me feel better knowing I wasn't the only one 🤣🤣
Hi iho! At least makes you feel good once the cleaning up is done. Don’t complain I got 2 acre to work on here in Queensland. Could you help me where I can purchase these varieties of echeverias you have. The frilly ones. Thanks. lol
