I must add the following. We can't mention Pickard and the Borg without paying tribute to actress Annie Wersching who as we all know played the part of the Borg queen and continued her acting career even after being diagnosed with cancer. RIP

I like the World Razor version among the alternative Galaxy classes.

I like how she looks, the funny thing is the saucers section reminds me of the Cylon raider from the first Battlestar Galactica. Great video and awesome story as always Nerd Approved!

It REALLY looks like the toy version of the raider because of its pop-out wings.

That primary hull reminds me of the old cylon raiders of the 70's BSG

This narrative turned out EXCELLENT; the alternate timeline events are eerily believable

Reminds me of the old late 70's Cylon Raider toy that came out that had the sides pop out to reveal the hidden lasers in the "wings".

I like how the Confederacy used US Army ranks instead of Navy ones. Keep in mind this means there are no "Commanders". Also I think Picard would be a Colonel not a General at that point. General would be equivalent to an Admiral I think. Captains become Colonels. Full Commanders would be Lt Colonel, and Lt Commanders would be Majors. Lieutenants would be Captains. Ensigns would be Lieutenants. At least I think that's how it would make sense to line up. I also want to say I like how you talk about some of the events we are familiar with in the context of the Confederacy and how they might handle them.

You have it right. In the modern structure, a Navy Captain and Army Colonel are both O-6 pay grades. A Navy Ensign would share the O-1 pay grade with an Army Second Lieutenant, with the next ranks up being a Navy Lieutenant (Junior Grade) and an Army First Lieutenant. Above Navy Captain and Army Colonel would be the Admirals and Generals - often referred to as "flag rank" officers. Which would be fitting, since the original term "flagship" came from the Age of Sail, when the flagship was the command ship - that is, the ship with the flag-rank officer on board to let the rest of the battle line know who to expect orders from. Just to muddy the water a bit further, I seem to remember a few visiting senior officers in the prime timeline holding the rank of Commodore. Not all navies use this rank, but it's roughly equivalent to Rear Admiral, Lower Half - the lowest of the admiralty ranks, an officer you'd put in charge of a squadron, small task force, or flotilla.

The Confederation sounds like what the Terran Empire of another timeline WANTED to be.

I hope we get more stories about this Q version of the mirror universe. I'd hate to think it was wiped out when they corrected the timeline.

Of course, this Q made universe was actually not a mirror universe but rather a twisted version of the prime universe that the Mirror Universe's Terran Empire would have actually aligned itself with.

@@charlescassels3826 speaking strictly of the mirror universe we’ve seen on screen, they would be the same. The only thing that would have changed is the history around their interactions with the prime universe with the confederacy. But then again the original prime verse would likely be the confediverse’s mirror. That being said, the only way a universe could be more violent than kill all aliens, like with the confederacy and the Terran empire would be for them to go about it differently. As in something more painful and drawn out. Eradication by biogenic weapons as opposed to high explosives.

Those side weapons are big enough to each house a Phaser Lance as fitted to the anti-time Dreadnought Galaxy.

Considering that either a cut line or novelisation of Operation Annihilate mentioned original Enterprise having Planet Wrecker missiles... And that was from the timeline we all know and love... What must the World Razer have!?

I lost my mind when they released it on sto and i freaked out when you actually did a lore on this, thankyou so much

I like seeing more of this universe worked out. Only critique I can add is that it needs more unique ships. Like if this is that universe's galaxy class would a constitution class look a bit different too? Would ESD be one huge wartime battle station? Would the Terran Empire look at these guys and go "whoa, we're not that evil."

I like that the ship is not simply a visual carbon copy of the Galaxy class. It never made sense that the ships look exactly the same in both universes, considering one version is designed for exploration, the other for warfare. That's why I loved Mirror-Georgiu's flagship. Not the design itself, but that it looked so different from Starfleet ships. The World Razor has nice visual distinctions, but I still think she's too Starfleet. Should be more aggressive looking, with some sharper edges and stuff. Great job on the lore by the way. Fits the setting perfectly.

I love how the story line for Jean Luc and (enterprise) world razer plays out, this would be a great alternative demention story line. Enjoy your other videos as well.

The World Razer's longer nacelles and wider saucer finally correct the awkward proportions that bugged me in the Galaxy class. WHY MUST THE FASCIST SHIP LOOK SO GOOD

I wish we had seen the freakin ship in the show. Would have been nice to see it chase them up to the sun before they time jumped into the past. Having a moment of reading out a sensor scan of the World Razor and a holy shit moment would have been enough.

I wonder if those Port and starboard part of the saucer are retractable

From what limited information I could gather of Confed and from my own knowledge of human history especially military history I would say that the Federation would need serious help from other Empires and alliances such as the Klingons and maybe the Dominon given that confed likely is far more advanced and militeristic than the Federation. They are more than capable of flattening federation forces due to better combat experience, more heavily armed ships, and likely have a edge in technology given that they likely have borg tech already in ships for several decades well the federation only barely started using them on ships. Also I bet they have more smaller combat ships running around than the federation does.

very entertaining and imaginative narrative. although as a historian i do wounder if trek should be portraying authoritarian regimes as efficient as powerful, since thats kinda how they want to be thought of. i feel like the cardassians are a better portrayal, devoid of the "Glamour" given to the terrans or confederation. i'd be intrested to know your thoughts on this?

Excellent content. The narrative feels spot on to me, and the world razor looks very cool. Tbh though I didn’t think Patrick Stewart quite pulled off the nasty version of Picard in the series, but everything else in that universe seemed very good.

I enjoy the way you put together tiny scraps of information and, using your great familiarity with Trek, come up with totally reasonable scenarios for ships and characters. Please, keep doing it! Well, I suppose there are worlds out there that could use a shave... 🙂

It's good, it's really a interesting take on something that doesn't have that much lore and honestly it's better then just be a forgotten painting

Awesome video. Funnily enough I always thought some UFP faction destabilised the star that destroyed Romulus myself.

You know what's odd. I feel that this alternative version of the Galaxy class rectifies the one design aspect of the Galaxy class that always bothered me, as much as I love the ship. It always kind of bugged me that the shuttle-bays on the Galaxy class' saucer neck were disproportionate.

love it. but I have 2 kit bash ships I would love to see what you could do with

Now, I do love how.fleshed out you made the World Razer's history. But I do have to question something: despite having synths in the Confederation timeline, would we really have had a Data and Lore? After all, Adam Soong was a legendary hero figure, so that probably would have kept Arik Soong from turning out the way he did and switching from genetics to cybernetics, which in turn would keep Noonian (not sure if I spelled his name right) from doing that research. That's just my view on the matter.

This very ship is one I really want to get in STO. I am very surprised you got a beta canon video out so soon as well, I aren't complaining, just very surprised, though it has made my morning bright (before I go to sleep before another night shift) to watch another brilliant video, and I love what was done to the Constellation class model in this video. It would be great to see more Confederate vessels come to light for sure in STO and well hopefully you will have a beta canon take on them too. Keep up the amazing work you do, sir

I like the design but that deflector dish in the primary hull. Triggers an uncanny valley reaction in me.

We always get episodes that we always go back into there alternate time they need to make one that they coming to ours. And cars all sorts of havoc.

Yes very different... The Confederation stands for humanity, and humanity works together in the common cause of "A safe Galaxy, is a Human Galaxy." You wouldnt be killed in a conspiracy plot to gain rank for example... With the death penalty for Humans being only applied for things like Treason...
