by far one of the best sounding cars currently on the roads.

my great uncle has one of these over here in the states. Hes taken me for a ride and the thing is pretty fast but its definitely more fun than it is fast. Its tiny but this is one of the most fun cars you could daily. If i got one i would make a sticker for the back that said "turbocharged tractor" because thats what it sounds like to me lol but it is a good sound

Yes, it is obviosly slow, and someone can say it´s more a girls car... but u have to love this litte abarths for the sound. Had one park next to me some mothns ago (595 Biposto) and he started the engine when i got out of my car... i was like smiling the rest of the day .. applaus for this 1,4l magic.

I have a similar tune on mine except with a bit more torque at 306nm. I was actually expecting it to feel much quicker, but somehow it doesn't. It's definitely quicker in 2nd and 3rd, but there is no surge of power which pushes you in to the seat. My other car is a Lotus Elise though so maybe I'm expecting too much :P As a city car, at city car speeds it's great. But 60mph+ is quickly runs out of puff still. I think it's let down by the gearbox and maybe aerodynamics (it is basically a brick with doors). I think if you want to accelerate quick and use it on track, spend more and get a 595 or 695 rather than a tuned older one. Better/bigger turbos in those.

You dont understand an abarth then. For highspeeds you can buy an Audi or BMW. An Abarth is build for curvy roads and emotion. I have an Abarth Punto Evo with 210hp and I dont have any problem till 210kmh-220kmh. After that you slow automatically because you dont want to stress the engine. Sure the Abarth 500 is like a potato but many owners told me that you feel safe at higher speeds.

That's not the only issue. The gearbox is tuned for low top speed because this car wasn't made for such high speeds!

@@code2604 you don’t understand abarth? Lol check my channel, i can tell you that i Already tried EVERY version of 500/595 abarth! Its not a car for topspeed obviously but a 150hp diesel car can go to 210/220kmh easy. So why doesn’t this reache also that speed? Because of its aerodynamics

@@Michael_Michaels the problem on this one is the turbo ihi that performs better at lower revs, a garret in the 180hp models are much better for topspeed

@@yaacin748 power to weight matters way less after 100kph, that's when aerodynamics come into play. Looking at the shape of the thing it looks as aerodynamic as a fridge.

@@alexanderpettersson5170 yes the extremely rare,stripped out two seater with the price of 40000 euro without options,with options up to 70000 euro's It better does that for that kind of money. For 40k you have a toyota yaris gr,it has 260-280 hp,all wheel drive. And it mops the floor with the biposto.but even that thing i find extremely expensive for 40k
