1700 kilometres in 4 days: I'm BACK!

My plans were to see the south west of Norway, with all of it's stunning fjords, famous roads and incredible scenery. But a low pressure area hanging over Norway caused a long period of continuous rain and low visibility so I decided I had to leave this part of Norway for another time! Let's chase the SUN!

Don't worry too much about the amount of video content, it's also about the quality. You're not just recording the scenery, you're also showing everyone the biker life on the road, and you nailed them both. The rain and cold just wears you down. I know this is 6 months after you posted it all, and you probably won't see this, but I'll say it again...be safe out there, Noraly.

Hi, Noraly, Like so many others, I find your videos to be immensely satisfying, since I am 78 years old and have ridden a motorcycle for most of my life, and still do, although not as adventurous as you. I appreciate your inclusion of many aspects of the journey, food, special places, and of course the wonderful people. Your use of the drone has been a really effective addition to your video production and editing skills. Thanks for taking that extra effort for our benefit. I noticed, as I have watched all of your episodes since day one, that on more than one occasion, you forgot your food in the fridge where you stayed. Over these many years, I have found the trick is to give yourself a positive reminder. As in "Remember to get my food from the fridge in the morning." To say, "Don't forget" whatever it is, is a negative message, and apparently our subconscious doesn't do well with qualifiers, and so only registers "forget". Try it and I hope this has been useful. All the best and God speed.

If you can go back to Norway in the summer you will most certainly be glad you did. The "troll ladder" section of highway and the astounding fjords and the beautiful cities of Trondheim, Bergen and other little towns will be very impactfull! Even to the point where you will have a hard time riding you bike safely due to the amount head turning and gazing! :) Thank you for sharing part of your experience in the land of my kin.

While in Oslo, The Peace Prize Committee should have assembled to award Noraly their prize for bringing so many of the world together to share her joy. Those who don't ride a motorcycle need to know, a motorcycle in the rain is NOT like a car in the rain. The lady has good reason to be worn out. Riding in the wet keeps you tense, every kilometer/mile. Enjoy some rest and relaxation Ronin! And Noraly too, of course. We look forward to the new website and the next adventure!! Thanks for the ticket to ride along.

Well, I must admit, I am disappointed that you couldn't explore the beautiful mountains and fjords as you headed south in Norway, but I totally get you having reached your limits traveling in the rain and cold. I think we've all been there, when we throw our plans out the window just to escape the extreme conditions and get back to some warmth and comfort. So it's understandable. As it is, you tried, and you managed to take us on another great journey, this time to Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. It's a miracle you could travel at all given all the restrictions with covid. So I think I can speak for all your viewers when I say THANK YOU for putting yourself out there and taking on the challenge to explore the world some more, and of course, look forward to our next adventure together!! While I'm sure there will be those who say riding in the rain is "fun," I know that (for me) it is definitely uncomfortable - and unsafe - to be both cold and wet, not to mention, the poor visibility and slick road surfaces. So, thank you, Noraly, for taking us quickly back to sunshine in Oslo. It is sad to see your current trip ending, but I'll be looking forward to your updated website and further moto-travels in the springtime. Thanks for the wonderful ride through beautiful Sweden and Norway (and the helicopter flight was pretty cool, as well).

It depends, a light rain that's not too cold is not bad and can be fun. But a cold driving rain will beat you into a pulp. Or the monsoon type rains in the south can be very dangerous. I rode many years in the northwest of US which is famous for it's rain. But now live in the desert where there are monsoons that will make visibility impossible and flooding a distinct possiblity.

I do not know how many people know how far Sweden is. If you get the chance, please go and see Trondheim properly. It is a true historical viking and merchant city with northern Europe’s biggest cathedral, Norways best technical university, old wooden buildings and a lot of WWII history as well. Yes it has a tendency to be damp 50% of the time but I think it is worth it.

Really enjoyed Series 3 so far, Noraly. Very understandable to head for home - riding in constant rain is very draining. Well, that's true for normal people, but you keep smiling and laughing through it all. Thanks for showing us some of the glories of Denmark, Iceland, Sweden and Norway, and learning about the 'moving' Artic Circle. It's amazing to us in the UK that you can go anywhere in Europe and get by just speaking English. Particularly loved the geysers, helicopter ride, overnight lake-side pod, bridges connecting Lofoten Islands, and broken-yolk fried egg breakfasts. Your fan base is awaiting those long-promised Itchy Boots T-Shirts for Christmas... Charlie Webster

Welcome back to the Netherlands! It was quite a special video this one, I liked it even thought there wasn't much beautiful scenery. Riding at midnight in Denmark, what a way to end part 1 😄

What a incredible sacrifice to ride on those conditions, just to keep us entertained and informed about her tour through Norway. I feel sad that at this point in trying to make so many things she seems worn out Can't blame her with such weather. But the great thing is how she always transmit enthusiasm and radiates a positive attitude in all situations. I commend and Thank you immensely for what you do Noraly!! 🥰❤❤❤❤ Please wear a Scarf and don't eat too much yolk from those eggs. Much Love!!

I was in Norway riding from Bodo to Oslo at the same time as you, but I got off the highways and rode the scenic routes, you sure missed some amazing roads and scenery, shame the weather got to you but that is always a risk riding the western coasts anywhere in Europe

Interesting to see in Oslo how they are allowing restaurants to spread out across the sidewalks out into the street, I imagine to make safe distancing room as we do here for Covid. I can tell you are juggling several things while talking, riding, explaining your plans and showing us Oslo... all after sparing us your long, exhausting heavy weather trek to get there. Hope you know we are on your side and supportive and enthusiastic when you have these challenges. So finally you pop up, safe and sound, back in the Netherlands. Wow... I include Iceland in this huge circle you have made. I also have not forgot that our ride along with you in Peru was derailed... and that all of what you are doing now has grown out of that... including little details like your ride is still in a crate in Peru. Wow.., Maybe it's because of my age that I feel sort of old guy protective as well as supportive. Having ridden my 69 Triumph thru some very challenging times and weather... winter weather... i know sudden changes in plans and weather etc are taxing. Stay strong and positive Itchy Boots. Your ride today and your updating is all part of our ride along with you and i do find it interesting. Enjoyed it. Itchy Boots episodes are part of my subscribed agenda and i wait for your episodes with enthusiasm no matter what it is you are up to. I hope next time to find you well, happy, dry and warm and rested and maintaining your strong. positive, good humoured spirit fully in charge and rolling easy with the challenges. Can't help but feel you've just completed some sort of a marathon and made it safely back to Home Base. Hope you have good solid friends and or family to debrief and hang out with while you reconstitute from your iconic Itchy Boots public personage back into your unpublic private and personal regular sized Noraly self. Congrats and Cheers.

Ooh - I really look forward to a special Norway excursion in the future - either on snowmobile or adventure bike. :) My Swedish co-worker told me that the king and queen of Norway are nicknamed the bicycle royalty because they (used to, when younger, anyhow) would be seen riding around Oslo on their bicycles. Thank you for the ride around to see a quite gorgeous city. I see that, in Oslo, bicycles do not automatically have right of way. :D Enjoy your haitus. It sounds like you could really use it...and it sounds like your creative wheels are spinning and wanting to have their turn to ride!

Coen
