I'm alone and need help. Nordkapp 24 - E5

Make a donation - gofund.me/e3d7d248
On the 3rd of May, 2024 I left Ireland with a flag. Written on this flag is the names of 250+ lost loved ones. Lost via still births, cancer and suicide. This journey took me over 11,000km, through 10 countries and took 29 days. Join me and follow this epic journey to bringing this flag to the top of Europe and back to the BikeFest in Kerry, Ireland for an epic selfie.
I made a promise to the families that I would reach Nordkapp, the most northerly point in Europe that you can drive too and read the names aloud, thus making sure they are always remembered.
On this flag is my own sons name, who on June the 5th, 2016 was still born.
I'm riding my Harley Davidson Pan America.

    Your mood after shower is contagious. When I travel with my girlfriend, I need to stay at better campsites sometimes to melt her heart and win her back after 200-400mile days. It is tough to travel alone, but you will do good. Keep it up!

    Adventure :an unusual and exciting or daring experience. Keeping a simple plan will help and don't look too far down the road.My first trip to Scotland at a photorally point in the Heart of the North the top box frame broke! And in the Highlands the brake master cylinder gave up ( so filled as I went).Orkney & Shetland had a puncture which kept failing.This year went to Faro islands ,there was a strike on the islands so no fresh food of and kind and no fuel! Had very little food for the first three days and hot food couldn't be found.Weather was 2° -4° sleet ,snow,rain,wind.Remember your living someone else Dream.What your doing is adventure.Traveling by yourself people are more inclined to talk to you and help if needed.

    Great video and story with beautiful scenery! it’s really captivating to watch you experience the ride of a lifetime. It will be tough at times, liked today, but this is part of the experience. I have no doubts you’ll get to Nordkapp on your bike. Yes 450Km a day in Norway is absolutely fine, no worries. You can do a little more probably 600km in the Nord and Mid Norway. I’d spend a bit more time in the North and leave some time for the Southern Norway. Well done!

    the struggle you are having pales in comparison to the loss you had to deal with the reason you are on this epic journey in the comfort of my warm home here in the middle of winter in Australia is not lost on me the viewer. It is the metaphor for the grief parents have at the sudden loss of their hope and wonderment, their family and how when you feel your crushed with the overbearing sense of despair you force yourself to dig deeper to swim to the surface and grab that life giving air... is what I got out of your program tonight please do go on old chap your making smashing telly

    Get yourself a new battery asap and disable the bikes alarm and immobiliser. Only run your GPS off the bike and nothing else. Its not worth the risk. Just because the bike is new doesnt mean the battery is good. Good luck mate!

    Thanks for watching..... its not the battery that is failing.... stay tuned ;-) The battery was only changed 4 months before and the entire wiring loom was changed 3 weeks before but the issue at the start of the video has happened before and was addressed with a new battery/loom, hence why I was suspecting the battery..... turned out not to be the issue lolzzz

    Painful to see how the PA disappoints ... I have been pretty suspicious from day 1 that the MoCo could 12:10 deliver an ADV that can compete with a African Twin or KTM... workhorses are rather Road Kings and EVO-based Sportsters

  • @theladwiththebeard

    @theladwiththebeard

    You don't have to look far to see other makes having issues ;-) While it has its niggles, us short riders deserve adventure bikes too and no other make comes close to making it possible, well aside from the GS1300 which now has HD's ARH. Any other bike I tested (13 in total) required a lowered suspension which removed 3-4" of travel from the back, which dramatically changed its off road handling and was not advised in any dealer to do. Don't get me wrong, it had issues but if you stay tuned you'll see that even thousands of miles from home, HD came through and ensured I was looked after. Same can not be said for BMW..... Plenty of shops I went into had tons of bust KTM/Honda as up there most dealers deal in multiple brands. I love the PA, would not change it. I've had an EVO Sportster, was a great bike and have two other HD tourers, they are solid but hay.... they have 99% less electronics compared to the Pan America hahaha Like anything, for every one video showing an issue, there are 99 more showing none.
