Shiva Rajbhandari, 17 year old Youth Director of BABE VOTE, testified against a bill that would ban absentee ballot drop-off boxes. Public testimony included County Clerks, poll workers, election judges, a lobbyist & several students. The only testimony in favor of the ban was from the bill's sponsor, Rep. Priscilla Giddings, who was recently censured for publicly revealing the identity of a teenage victim of former Idaho legislator, Aaron von Ehlinger, who is charged with raping the teen. The House State Affairs Committee advanced the bill to the House floor with only 1 Republican committee member & both Democratic members voting no.
