The patents start saving for the dress the secomd they find out theyre pregnant, the same as others start saving college funds, I'm not sure who pays for the dress the girls family or the boys traditionally, & they still give dowrys & stuff. & I've seen a few guys, not many but a few, who started working at 10-13 who started saving for their future brides dress since they know they're so expensive & wanna be a good husband at 10!!!! That was cute, guy wearing orange met inline & nicknamed himself after Patrick swayze was s good guy, bout the only one I've seen on these shows anyway.... He saved up for everything starting with first job....but TLC for any of the weddings or dresses, the families do. I guess it's easy to afford Swarovski crystal dresses when living in a trailer and no student loans to pay after all it must be cheap to raise child bride's who just specialize in cleaning and cooking.

Don’t forget the parents also make barely any money - it’s not Swarovski as those are expensive, it’s just cheap crystals. They are like $2 for a bag.

Many poor families in other countries do the same. They save up for years for their children’s coming of age celebrations. Many poor families will still host a sweet 15/16 party. Many of us can barely afford a wedding but we save up and still have them. The Gypsies may not be educated but they work jobs that pay well. Many of them own a business. Since they live cheaply and have no debt, they save money. So they can splurge on a wedding. The wedding dress material is very cheap, they are mostly paying for the labor. I’m assuming that the dress is the most expensive part of the wedding. Probably running about $5,000-20,000. They also don’t take a honeymoon so they save money there. The Gypsy weddings don’t have too many guests and aren’t decorated well. so the venue and food is probably cheap.

Back in the day is was a different story, as people matured quicker due to life expectancy and challenges they faced at the time. Why are you so obsessed with trying to prove everyone wrong? For me, it has a lot of Jerry Springer vibes to it. If you ever watched the later seasons of Jerry Springer, basically you would see what is on this show on that show. The only difference is that those people on Jerry Springer weren't not Romani.
