That motor liked the big prop on that Sonic Wake! I wish your run didn't get cut short but 68 is fast for the little park pond. Nice to see it took the impact and all that bent was that turn fin. That could've been way worse. I can't wait to see it at the speed run spot!!👍🤙💯

Nice runs on the Proboat! 68 is a fast run in that little pond! I've been doing alot of testing on one of my 3d printed jet boats, the Ragnarok by M-Jet Development. Jet pumps definately pull a TON of current! I actually have the second fastest one on record at 47mph, fastest is 49. Currently running a Castle 2200kv and it draws just over 340 amps on 6s lol. Awesome to see the jet stream back on the water tho B! BG4L!!

This reminds me of when I took the motor and esc from my BlackJack 42 and put it in my brand new Joysway Alpha. It ran like crazy..until the massive crash, top lid blew off and the boat sank . Parts for 1000 on the bottom of the lake and never found it. A few lessons learned tho :) and ofc it was fun as long as it lasted.

Man, that setup works great on the SonicWake! The big prop with the 1600kV motor runs more efficient for sure. I'm curious to see how it will perform on the speedrun spot. I would love to see your Seahorse Deltaforce 29 twin again too. Twin mono gang 😎✌️

I stole the seahorse esc's for my twin cat build, found a fighter cat 240 x2 on ebay. Run 2 motors off a single esc, considering trying it out, it's only like 110 bucks. Either the fighter cat or 2 150 FC, I'll get it back on the water here shortly

Do you remember the old RadioShack Stinger Cat boat? I pick one up the other day and modified it with brushless motor and my electrics. Took it out today for it's first run. Pretty cool. Had to make trim tabs for it runs pretty good except for it bouncing.

I really like the motor swap and I've got a sss 4068 6250kv motor that I'm going to put in there now that I've seen the difference. It won't be 8s but should still get some better numbers out of 6s. Thanks big b. Bg4l

That looks to be interesting with sw... Kind off curious since you ran a 47mm if a more aggressive one goes wel too. I run a bigger can motor, but also 47mm and 1650kv on 8s.. So if it holds up i possibly can put a smaller motor in which means more runtime.

Big b nice video she is moving so I’m now motivated by the newly announced traxxas trailer I got me a sonic wake v2 my boat has been sitting for a minute she all stock can the stock 1900kv handle 8s if I just change esc or will the temps be out of control

Yes, the stock motor will handle 8s, with smaller prop, 4016 size prop has been best, 8s stock motor short quick burst, not full trigger for the entire battery life. Always check temps. 1600kv SPEKTRUM motor will be a better choice for 8s IMHO

Did you loose speed when you went to the firma 160A ? I was getting 83 kmh on the stock electronics and stock prop went to the firma 160A an mine will only do 75kmh on stock prop when running my rcboatbitz stage1 prop it just power cuts with the firma 160A but never did on the 120A got a oxidean marine 1.9 pitch prop 45mm and now its doing 83kmh on the 1.9pitch but thats with timing turned up just curious if you noticed a loss of speed on 6s with the firma 160? An power cuts on the 160A with props the 120A never cut out on

Yes I ordered the 1600kv motor from spektrum an some SMC 4s 250C packs an I'm going to try some QS8 connectors instead of the ic5 connectors I don't really understand the loss of speed going from the firma 120A to 160A if anything you would think it would atleast be the same speed maybe more tourqe cause higher amps but I've got power cuts on the 160a I never got on the 120A so that doesn't make much sense to me

Is there a prop you can recommend with no power cuts for the 1600kv on 8s ? In this video your running a oxidean marine 1.9pitch 45mm prop hey?

how fast do you think it would go on 6s with an 880kv motor

That's like 20,000rpm you'll need to run a decent size prop to get in the 60+ mph range.
