I went to the redwood forest by Crescent City, California in September, and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm thinking about moving there. It is truly magical.

You are so blessed to be able to travel like this. No wonder the tears come easily when you see a part of nature that speaks to you. If only more people cared even half as much as you!Personally, I think we are born in order to experience this life and I subscribe to KZreadrs who show me their honest emotions. If they’re just yammering on like a machine and not showing how they feel, welI can get that at my office or the grocery store. The Redwoods videos will be outstanding. Glad you are taking the time you need to create them. . . And enjoying your travels. Have you ever thought about staying in a campground for a week and giving yourself a break from daily longish drives?

This is a nice view of Colorado . When I visited many years ago it was dry hot arid & lots of forest fires . They actually evacuated a town we stopped in because of fires .

Finally living in my Dodge Grand Caravan, which has been converted into a home on wheels with a raised roof, bed, shower, and solar power system with lighting as well. I have been living in the van since February 2022 and working a part-time job. So far it's going well. My only challenges are my excess body weight, which I am working on, and my arthritic hip that's missing cartilage in the joint, very painful trying to walk and move about.

Love yr configuration AND the beautifully coordinated decor showcasing our beautiful planet. You inspired me to keep on prepping my minivan and I'm NEARLY there. On the hunt for a recliner lounger for a bed. The forest (we call it The Bush here in NZ) filled with ancient native trees, feels, sounds, smells breathtaking and when you reached your Redwoods it must have felt both triumphant and exhilarating to get there against all the odds, the lockdowns.

I know exactly how emotional the redwoods are. I got to see them at 12 yrs old so when we went to my sister in law’s wedding at Yosemite we went to see the redwoods there and my husband who has never been off the east coast and also a wood worker just saw those beautiful trees and stood there crying. Beautiful spacious campground. Here they are all crammed in cheek to jowl.

No it's a 110 outlet plug. They may make a 12v.

When I first started watching nomad and vanlife videos, I was intimidated by all the removing of seats and retrofitting parts of the vehicles. Then I started seeing the "no build" stuff and then it seems more doable.

Hi Bambi. At first I worried about them getting out of the van and I would not leave the doors open like that anywhere else, but they can't wait to get back to their "den." 🙂

I go to dog events and the dogs are crated in the vehicle and when its sunny and warm everyone puts these shade tarps over the car they are like a reflective mesh with a strip of grommets around the outside; they really work well they reflect the sun, but the mesh allows it to breath it makes the car about 10-15 degrees cooler you can either secure with bungee cords or magnets.

Hello. Very not ce. Such happiness, I love it as well. BI just took trip to Wells, Maine. In my Dodge Vancampers. Soo much fun! Stealth 2 nights at Seabrook, New Hampshire Rest Area. Allowed to camp there 2 days at a time. Stayed free checked out Hampton Beach day time and Seabrook Town. Then on to Wells, Maine best campground ever, Beach Acres on Rt#1Post Road. 16mins from Perkins Cone, Maine to Marginal Way. After you walk eat at the Cove at Barnical Billy's, best Lobster dinner. If you are ever in that area stay campground, family owned 41yrs. God bless safe travels.

Thanks, Marlene.The girls sleep in the front seats. Yes, a lawn chair with no arms. I can show details in a video. I looked for one that folds at the hip, not at the shoulder. The front/top legs are not cut, they are 11 inches tall. The back of the van is higher so my brother cut off a few inches back there to level it. I have plenty of headroom when I sit in the bed.

The Pacifica is a hybrid but it also has the option to plug in to give it even better mileage. We have a Facebook group for women who are interested in traveling and camping. It's for women only. When you travel like this is there a brochure that shows you places that you can park with living in a van? How do you know where to go around the USA. There are as many travel styles as there people in.van life. My goal was to seek adventure in beautiful places. 😍 I traveled from Florida to the redwoods then all the way up through northeast coast. I stayed in mostly free places like truck stops, casinos, cracker barrels and other free campsites. You van find them on iOverlander, Dirt. Freecampsites.net and other apps with reviews. My videos have vanlife tips at the end including places to stay. I hope this helps.

What size Bluetti do you have and how do you charge it?

It's a 700. It is mostly charged by the car as I drive, 12v. It can also be charged from a 110 outlet withe the charger that comes with it or my solar panels.

How are your dogs adapting? Do you have special food you have to order? How do you receive packages?

Hi Shelly. 👋 Amazon has pickup locations, or you can have it sent to a local UPS for pickup. They charge $5 - $10. Both dogs loved the van and travel. Sadly, Suzi died of a stroke recently. She was 17 years old.

Are your "clothes pillows" regular pillow cases or shams ? No zippers ? I like that idea very much. BEAUTUFUL Colorado campground. Lake looks invitimg for a swim too. Thanks for sharing so much. You're encouraging me lots !

I was at Highline lake state park. Very nice. 👍

It takes a bit of adjusting your eyes to a different landscape. When you do it comes alive with all types of creatures and plants. I need to be careful with altitude. I am from sea level and above 6,000 feet does me in. You have to learn to breathe deep from your belly to get enough oxygen.

It's a Limited so I was so disappointed when it arrived from the factory without the sun roof! It didn't take long to realize that the rooftop box would make the sun roof a joke! 😂 I'd be looking at the bottom of it. It also has a little more headroom without the sun roof. 👍

Good to know. I'm trying to narrow down which pacifica I like best. The limited has features I like, but if I were to put a roof rack on it I'm thinking it won't work with sunroof. Understandably, a roof rack would block the sun.

Do most parks allow you to camp in a car?

Private RV campgrounds might not allow it but I would never want to be there anyway. Way too expensive! In my experience, State campgrounds are far more beautiful, cheaper and they don't care what you camp in. 👍

What’s this about your bed being a plastic lounge chair? This intrigues me.

It's a pool lounge chair made of resin. 24 by 72. I can put the head up like a recliner. I use a 6 inch foam trifold mattress. Very comfy.
