I like that micro brands get their fair share of stage time on that channel

This price they deserve even more attention. Many watches to get lost in.
My wife gifted me the Mido Multifort Patrimony almost one year ago, and I couldn't be more happy with it. The way the blue sunburst catches the eye in certain lighting gives it the feel and pedigree of a watch several times its price. Purchased through TB as well! Thanks, Teddy!

I'm wearing the Mido Patrimony while reading your comment! So glad I listened to Teddy for buying this particular watch. One of the best kept gem with Mido.

I have two tone 38mm multifort. One of my fav in my collection, where I have watches from 500 to 3000 pounds. :)
13:24 Laco watch, with Japanese movement? Now just add an Italian leather band and you got yourself a true WW2 watch lmao

Yeah, but for a little more money you can get things like hardness coating, anti-mag properties, and a more modern movement that isn't prone to stuttering. You're getting a pedigree brand but getting a de-contented watch to keep the price down. It's not a great value -- even for the lower price.

You just made my day dude 😂
Teddy mentioning Lorier a few times recently makes me so happy! Love their brand! I have a Falcon and a Hydra Zulu edition myself!
Happy to see you grow and having a store name after you happy for you teddy ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing video teddy and congratulations on the New store. So happy for you
I am discovering that straps and bracelets have a big role in versatility. Bracelets being the most versatile, rubber straps for sporty and casual, and leather straps for formal occasions. The PRX is the winner, in my opinion, because you can easily change the straps and the PRX straps are reasonably priced at $60.

But it uses their lowest grade c07-1xx movement. The Gentleman has their 2-tier upgraded c07.8xx movement that uses an anti-magnetic Silicium spring and all metal escapement, and can use many more types of straps. All this for only about $100 difference in price.
Baby Alpinist is one of the most slept on Seiko. I like it more than the SPB121 tbh
I agree on the Tissot Gentleman. It's a fantastic first 'serious' watch. I still very much enjoy wearing mine.
The Baltic Aquascaphe would have been my choice at this price point
Tens of hours learning about "go everywhere" watches under 1k and found one gem, that my wife will present me as an anniversary gift - Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 Silicium. That will be my first swiss made watches. And most of the info i got from Teddy here.. So congrats on opening your store, Teddy, and many many luck to you in your journey!
Thanks Teddy, this is more my kind of market. I have a tissot automatic
You're the man Teddy. Always consistent and can read the room, some of us can't drop the five figures on a grail watch just yet so a nice sub 1K everyday piece is a great alternative!
Citizen Garrison. Sub 500$ , titanium, solar, sapphire crystal.
Again a great video, Teddy! Seiko SNE589P1 and Henry Archer Vesterhav, both amazing versatile and everyday watches.
My wife gifted me a couple years ago the Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde which has a blue sunburst type a dial and a grey nato strap. It is beautiful, and you are right about the case finishing being the same as their $1000 pieces. The lume is awesome on this watch, also.
I really like how you are showing some watches I haven't seen before. Its nice to see some pleasant surprises.
My Lorier Falcon III is probably my favorite watch. So cool!
Some great choices. The Murph and the baby alpinist are my favorite choices
That Tissot Powermatic Gentleman is legit Great list, Teddy. Love the microbrands
I've been rocking a circula supersport watch, and it's been my go-to for almost everything. It's such a gorgeous watch without being too flashy, and it's extremely comfortable. I'm glad to see circula getting some love!!
Great video, nice to see a Mido in today's episode. I also really do like the Mido 1959 commander. Good to see that alot of the watches today come with a good water resistance.😊😊
Love the Gentleman!!! Looking for a dress watch and this fits the bill in price and looks! plus it's a Tissot!!! Thank you Teddy for showcasing such wonderful watches!!!
Just sat down to watch my favourite 'watch guy' and you mentioned the very watch I'm wearing today, the Sternglas Asthet, which I've had for 9 months now and love it! I wear it with my business casual attire but also jeans & hoodie when going for a coffee...it suits most occasions.
Tissot Gentlemen is a slept-on banger. It's like a Tudor Ranger and an older 3oclock Omega Aqua Terra had a baby. Case is quite similar to the Tudor Ranger (which is fantastic), and the dial is similar to a pre-6oclock Aqua Terra.
Lots of wonderful stuff here in this lineup, whatever the price! Good one Teddy👍
I've been looking out for such a video. The Hamilton is icon, and style of watch is truly magical. Thanks for putting this together Teddy. I think I've found my first watch❤😊.
Liking that Circula Protrail. Haven’t heard of it before
Thanks Teddy. This is a great one with watches more in my price tier and there are a lot of these designs that I really like. Gonna save this one for future reference.
happy to see a variety of really nice options in the relatively affordable category. One brand that I rarely see mentioned (except for the Bambino) is Orient/Orient Star. I don't see a lot of macro video or discussion about those Orient Star options, but the pictures and specs have me curious about how they stack up against some of these.
Great explanations ❤
I'm glad to see the Lorier on this list, one of my favorites that I don't even own yet but the story and their inspiration of style is my type. I was surprised to not see Christopher Ward's C63 on here. Hands down one of the slickest and versatile under $1K watches out there in my opinion. Overall a great line up none the less and congratulations on the new store! Keep it up and this video is definitely saved to my "Watch List!"
Own two Sternglas Naos watches. Great value and wonderful design for someone looking for a more affordable bauhaus style watch.
Have the Hamilton auto 38 and the seiko spb 119, found it a little less confusing and versatile than the spb121. Congrats on the new boutique!

i got the hamilton expidition 37mm on braclet and spb155 with uncleseiko braclet :D
Good list. I would add the Casio Oceanus T200S blue dial as a very versatile high quality watch with superb finishing and classic design.
recently purchased the Hamilton Field Murph 38mm, I love it. Would like a Sports watch now to offset that and I keep coming back to the PRX
Great list overall. I would warn people, the Timex Marlin looks very cheap up close. It’s very light and rattles quite a bit due to the movement. Additionally, awkward strap size - you’ll want to change the strap as the one supplied is very rough and in my experienced rubbed quite a bit.
I have the Powermatic 80 black dial 40mm and the Murph 42mm. I wear the Powermatic more because the bracelete is super comfortable but i love both. Great value for the money.
Another great video! Nice mix of micros and larger brand offerings at price points that average folks can afford.
First actual watch I purchased for myself only about a year ago was a TimeX Harborside, The blue/red bezel, black dial with an NH35A. I have a few other watches including the Seiko SRPD59 that my parents purchased me as a gift for graduating College, but I wear that $300(CAD) TimeX every day and its honestly my favorite watch to wear out of the 4 or 5 I have now. The goal atm is to save around $1000-$1500 and purchase a personal "grail" watch and has been since I orignally seen it just over a year ago (and was one of the reasons ive now fallen into this hobby) which is the 1970s Seiko 6139-6002/6005 "Pogue". Its honestly one of the most gorgeous watches I've ever seen and hopefully will be added to my collection some day. Love your videos Teddy, Congrats on the new store!
You are absolutely correct about the Sternglas, easy to wear as well. Love my Gentleman in blue, Tissot makes some great watches. Add the Laco Augsburg 42mm, all bought from Teddy.
Hey teddy loved the video and great recommendations! One small correction though at 8:45, the Timex marlin jet doesn’t have a small seconds subdial, it’s actually a 24 hour subdial. Just thought I’d throw that out there!

Thank you! Sorry for the mix-up. I misspoke there.
That Waterloo is cool looking, and I love the Alpinist, but I wish they would remove the cyclops on the spb121.
New here and I really appreciate your knowledge and incredible breakdowns.
Great list, Teddy!!! I look forward to acquiring some these recommendations. Just got my first Longines watch the Hydro-Conquest with the sunburst blue dail and bezel and 72hrs power reserve. It'll be nice if you include the power reserves for each of these recommendations in the pop-up box that lists the dimensions, calibre, and complications. Would really help in decision making for viewers/potential buyers. Great video! Thanks!!!
My last five sub-$1000 watches: • Seiko SARX029 Urushi dial • Bulova Lunar Pilot blue panda • Seiko 5 Sports Landshark • Seiko Presage Style 60s GMT Fume • Seiko Prospex Turtle
Love videos like this.
Loving my Hamilton Murph 38mm! The polished bezel portion does seem to pick up a lot of small scratches easier than I would have expected. I feel like it will acquire an overall “brushed” look before too long! Runs super accurate and I find myself just staring at the beautiful layout. Great watch!

Do you have any issues with the AR coating not being very good and it being highly reflective?
@AbnStubby
3 ай бұрын
@@Z-S-H Honestly I don’t have a lot to compare it to. I do notice the glare a bit but it isn’t a deal-breaker for me. I wouldn’t call it a “perfect” watch but it is very good…especially at this price point. I love the design and the overall look & feel on my wrist! I have other watches but this is my first Swiss automatic. I’m very happy with it. It has been keeping amazing time! It just feels…I dunno…more classic and solid than I’m used to. Very satisfied. But I know what to look for if and when I move into higher end watches. Currently eyeballin’ the Sinn U-50 Tegimented.
Great list! I own some watches in this price range and from the list (Traska Summiteer, Circula SuperSport, Certina DS-1, an older Laco, some Seikos) and I like almost all of these watches and brands!
It's the DuFrane! That one is amazingly versatile!
I have a Traska Summiteer and have to say that their quality control is not great. The hour hand lines up with some indices and not others, the crown pulls out further now when it did when new, and there’s a loose gasket visible on the stem. Also the accuracy out of the box is +50 seconds per day. At least they thanked me when I complained as all feedback helps their QC, apparently.
I have the spb155. Its a great watch. Love it.
I feel like Baltic and Farer also deserve a place on the podium here!
Mido Ocean Star Titanium :) purchased late last year best watch with a day date feature at this price point worn everyday -2 mins a month
I like that you are now consistently adding microbrands to your lists now
Amazing list
Hi Teddy, could you give us a review of the new Grand Seiko model? the SBGH343. I'd love to hear what you think of this new timepiece, and to see it through the wonderful images you always give us ! Thank you !
Hey Teddy, i watched several of ur videos and after watched one in which u explained so clearly 4 a newbie as me about automatics as they deviate a couple of secs/day and need constant maintenance, i chose now to go towards solars. Do u have any clip to cover the solars under 1000$? Thx a lot & congrats 4 ur great work!
Super video Teddy, tu m as encore fais connaitre une ou deux micro marques qui valent le détours👍 ces macro sont excellent sur grand ecran tv.
I think You could consider Mondaine, Zenith and Braun too, and a few brands more
Teddy, you make the best content. Great videos and commentary! If I ever get an opportunity, I’d love to visit your boutique and purchase a watch. Thanks for what you do!
Well that's my watchrecon alerts thrown into chaos. You just introduced to at least 3 models that directly fit my current target objective.
Great video Teddy. I'm thinking about the Mido Multifort Patrimony, Hamilton Murph, and the Seiko Alpinist. Any advice? apart from design what are your thoughts?
Frederique Constant Classics Series should Be in the List too under 1000 US$
Great video, I would liken to see serica commando as well...
Great list of watches! I really appreciate the micro brands in the beginning because my grail watch is a Rolex explorer and a lot of the ones mentioned are explorer-esque. Maybe one of those watches will do for the meantime since I’m relatively young and new in my career where I can’t afford a Rolex comfortably yet. Shoutout to Seiko, I love my alpinist spb197 and srpd97 and like you said, the alpinist is somehow more versatile than it looks and I wear it a ton.
I have the Seiko. It’s the first “proper” watch I’ve purchased in over 20 years. Now I’m on the slippery slope.
Really Love your content. BTW what watch were you wearing in this video ? ❤❤❤
Best watch in the list imho and a watch that may end up in my collection is the hamilton khaki murph because the design is just so clean!
I own a black dual tissot PRX and I love it as a 20 year old it’s rare for me age to rock those
Amazing quality video as always Teddy!! Ps... Is there a reason you pronounce tsuyosa as toyosa?
Whenever you try to buy a microbrand like Traska, they are never in stock.
Picked up a Le Locle 20th and it’s a great dress watch

6.5” wrist personally but could fit a 7” wrist probably too
Nice to see the microbrands, you should add Direnzo to the list.
The case for the circula reminds me of the GS Sbgv and Sbgx cases. Angular, almost muscular; strong presence in medium-compact form. Almost restrained in its boldness but not understated.
Mr Teddy is a collector and deallers world class he dedicated his life for anykind brands and history about making the watch in begin from less cheaper for The Luxury the Sultans wathces.. am respected him
Seiko alpinist reinterpretation is too a wonderful piece
The Certina DS7 is a lovely watch spoiled by a bracelet which, to my eye, is too thin.
I want to make my first watch purchase. Maybe a two tone watch since i wear alot of gold. Do you have any specific brand or model recommendations? Everyday wear kind of thing if not a “event/party” watch. Budget anything under $1,000. Thanks!
Love the gentleman. Hope they make a 38mm version with 20mm lug width soon.
Astor + Banks Sea Ranger is 🔥
Thanks teddy, it was a wonderful video, but I’m interested in the one that you are wearing, looks like a cool dial, may I know what watch it is Thanks again man
I’m deep into the weeds of watch collecting. Versatility was a thing at the beginning. Sacrificed to the addiction long ago ;-)
Tissot Gentleman is a beast
I think you should have branched off into the Hamilton Khaki classic Pilot family too because as far as I'm concerned, they tend to look a little more dressy and the day/date complications on the bigger models are a nice touch. As for Citizen, their Tsuki Yomi A-T is an absolute bargain for a solid atomic-synced model with some beautiful dials with a moon phase indicator in multiple colors and a great solar-powered movement. It's heavily overlooked as far as quartz is concerned and very versatile
Surprised to not see The Twelve on here!
Wish JDM watches were included. Citizen NB1060-04A for the win!
Citizen NB1050-59. Grey dial is 🔥.
Hard to choose a favourite between these!
Hey @TeddyBaldassare have you seen Tapferkeit watches yet? Bauhaus design, like Sternglas and Jungans. Especially like the chronograph. Cheers!
Hey Teddy, great video as always! At 14:50 you mention "no date" for the SPB155 but it clearly shows the date window: is there another Baby Alpinist that we could find without a window?
@necroside0077
3 күн бұрын
No
You are in my mind i got a promotion was feeling celebratory. Been thinking about this i always thought it would be Hamilton Khaki or Alphanist but I own 90% seiko and citizen so im excited to watch this.
I love the Tissot Gentlmen but its too big for me, I wish they would make it in a 36mm.
Both seiko watches you showed have the date. Only one with the cyclops. I'm happy the last 2 were both hamilton. Although the second watch is IDENTICAL to seiko from before, minus the date, unfortunately. My daily is the ETO 330, quarts. Looking for my automatic.
I love my BB 41. Also, you gotta add the Red Bull pelagoses
What is the model of camera and lens you use when recording images of watches?
Teddy would you consider the Tissot heritage 1938 a versatile enough watch that could make this list?
Cool to see dufrane on the list
Citizen Tsuyosa is absolute ruller! Beautiful watch.
Mido is solid!
