I would recommend Slava from Russian Plus and Cool vision. The other KZreadr that is definitely worth watching is Petrushevs. They create content about reindeer herder families whose live in the harshest conditions in Siberia. Keep up the good work Sam👍

I’m not the biggest fan of Nastya but like all the others of course.

My favorite has to be Ivan from Vagabond, just fantastic content that covers all kind of regions in Russia as well as interesting places in the rest of the world.

Eli, Real Reporter, Sasha are probably my Top 3. Baklykov is indeed the OG. I watch pretty much everyone else you mentioned as well. They are all amazing! Shout out to every single one of them. Also check out Elena's Travels. Another wonderful girl with a great channel.

I have been watching Sergey since he started and Ely for a few months now - one I like the most was "lost in Moscow" he hasn't done any video's for the past years but you should check it out

Nick from Mariupol is also a good KZreadr. His channel name is "Videos from Mariupol" vlogs. He is a Russian student living in Mariupol and telling his life story and development in Mariupol.

Agent Nesty's videos are quite funny. I like most of them a lot. However lately they seem to be a little bit political (in an anti-Russian government kind of way) in a subtle way, but still noticeable. The first two on your list however I think are very solid choices for life in Russia. I remember even watching Sergei many years ago when he had his "The Real Russia" channel with his buddy. Just normal day to day street life. Now your channel is one of the best for true life on the ground in Russia! =D

Great list. Eli takes the top spot for me, I also really love Lisa with Love, Sergey Baklykov, as well as Slava and his family from Russian Plus, and Agent Nesty. I also very much enjoy Travelling with Russel. While he did not make your list, he comes across as such as nice guy and has some great videos. Granted he's not Russian but an Australian living in Russia, I have learned a great deal from him. Same goes for Expat American...probably because I am American, I am interested in his experiences in Russia as an expat. And honestly, if I just want some ambience, I put on channels like Window to Moscow which have great 4K videos that can run on a big screen TV in the background while I do other stuff...Great list you put together there - great content 🙂

@@SamsRussianAdventures I have watched several of her videos but yes you are right there. She has a more negative view than the others. I understand each person has their own lives and experiences and she is still quite young.

Eli is definitely the Queen! I've been watching her since I opened my YT account in 2019. She was my first or second subscription. I also followed Sergey. I would like to recommend Vasya in the Hay, he does a lot of good Samaritan deeds for the poor and unfortunate. Also, there is Kitten Yulia who is amusingly sardonic, and Agent Nesty who is adorable and funny. Now, I know the next recommendation will be controversial, but I liked Bald and Bankrupt. His soviet locations are interesting and usually off the beaten path, plus he is well informed of the history of the place he visits. Some people don't like him, but if you want to see Russia, he has a lot of videos. I will check out the other recommendations you suggested.

I like all the people you mentioned and the only thing that I don’t like about bald and bankrupt is that he pretended to just show normal life outside of Moscow and that he always found alcoholics.

Different Russia and Dan Sheekoz were first two Russian you tubers I started watching couple years ago. Now have Siberian Freedom and Backyard Russia, your channel. Did watch Inside Russia until he moved to Tashkent and posts negative views of Russia. He left when war started. I like your down to earth honest video's Sam . Most of those you have mentioned I have heard of but not watch.

Great video, Sam! I've been following Sergey Baklykov since 2015! What a great channel and I've learned so much about Russia thanks to him. And how can you not love beautiful Eli? Been watching her fabulous content for years. Another giant for me is Slava from Russian Plus. I especially love his visits to Aunt Galya in the country. I only learned about Real Reporter recently. What a quality channel! And yes, I am captivated by the beauty of both Svetlana and Sasha. They are exceptional creators, too. I especially liked Sasha's videos on the Moscow and St. Petersburg metros. And yes, A Different Russia and Made in Russland as well, the latter being much newer to me. I've been watching Russian vloggers for years, and only recently began watching Westerners in Russia, apart from the incredibly brave war reporter Patrick Lancaster. I found out about you from Real Reporter, but I found out about Real Reporter from Wild Siberia, and I found out about him from a Russian Facebook friend who used to be in The Strategic Rocket Forces. Yes, the very fellow whose job it was to nuke us Americans is in fact a great guy! During my days on the aircraft carrier Enterprise, surrounded by Soviet warships and with Soviet bombers overhead, I never would have dreamed that I'd be so fascinated with Russia, but I was always drawn to Russian culture, so maybe it all makes perfect sense. I really appreciate your videos, Sam, and this one especially. It's a great thing to promote so many other KZreadrs, including many I'd never heard of before. Thank you for introducing them to me. :)

Hello Sam - what a brilliant video, and really generous of you to promote other people (and Martin in Orenburg - he definitely needs all our help) My first ever Russian channel to follow was Sergey Baklykov, I started watching him when he had a channel called “Real Russia with NO bullshit” - a brilliant chap! Recently started watching “Made in Russland” - Marina is hilarious and her content is amazing! One of my favourite videos was when she went to Caucuses and showed us Chechnya! Konstantin is great! He is very professional in his video production, he doesn’t post very often, but when he does, I’m glowed to my screen! Lisa from Vladivostok is brilliant! I’ve only recently started subscribing, and she doesn’t disappoint! Sam - an idea I’d suggest, especially to try and help Martin… do you think you could organise to bring the foreign KZreadrs and the Russian KZreadrs together in some sort of “meet and get to know each other” where you all do an activity together? It could build relations between you all, and enhance your support networks! Best wishes VX

Greetings Sam. This was very interesting indeed. Thank you for all of your work to develop the list. I hope the various channels appreciate you mentioning them. I do watch several, and will look up the others. There is an American family with several children that moved to Russia, due to religious reasons. It is a small channel, for now, but he has done an excellent job. He is respectful of the Russian language and culture. It has good content and no phony drama. It is called "Home in Russia"

One channel I subscribe to is MADE IN RUSSLAND that I like a lot! Another one I fairly often look at is SACHA MEETS RUSSIA that also like! Another one is where a woman visits Stalins datcha and other interesting buildings! However she has not done many videos as far as I know but they are very interesting!

Hello Sam! Among these youtube channels you listed for us, Eli from Russia is the best and it was the first KZread channel I subscribed to. She is amazing! Then I love a certain Sam's Russian Adventures, his videos are really fantastic and show us the real Russia; then Simple Russian girl, as Milena is so genuine, ironic but intelligent and I like her videos very much. Different Russia is another great channel and this couple is so kind. Also Lisa from Vladivostock is nice. Naturally all these Russian youtubers make videos from Russia, as they live there, a part from Eli who sometimes flies abroad. Then I also watch other Russians youtubers who live outside Russia. Great video and thank you very much.

Well very original comments on the youtubers, that is bold and very entertaining, no fear and thats great. I almost knew all of them but glad to explore the rest.. Eli unfortunately does not post on a daily so I have to look for the rest.

I'm on five of them.

Luna in Siberia already got to 4 million suscribers, I don't know how Messi and Gerda in Pensa do a month.

@@SamsRussianAdventures She finished college, then moved to China (I think), then came back to Vladivostok, then moved to Moscow a year ago. That's a lot to do by age 23. I would not fault someone for making money by saying good or bad things about Russia. Diversity of thought is democracy. You're free to not like their message. I don't like Liberals in America and Europe. They are destroying countries. But, at the end of the day, they have a right to spew their lies, hate, and nonsense.
