These extract recipe kits are a great way to improve your results. They are a big step up from can's of coopers, kit and kilo, home brew kits that are pre-bittered wort. Because they use some fresh grains and fresh hop pellets they really give you a substantially better result when compared with 100% extract kits.
We see these home brew kits as a way to get 80% of the benefits of all grain brewing but with substantially less equipment and less time commitment.
We have an increasing range of 15 min boil kits that are coming out and all of them just require you to use a pot on the stovetop.

Fresh wort kits are still in my opinion a better product. With that said it's almost like you are cheating with fresh wort and these kits give you a bit more contact with the brewing process as it's a bit more hands on. The other thing is that these 15min boil kits are very good value and due to the fact that they contain no water we can ship them very efficiently and many of our customers can't afford the postage of fresh wort kits so I think we still need to offer both options.
