Don't Do this! Changing Circuit Breaker Values is Dumb and Dangerous. Don't change breakers with a live panel. Don't mess with electricity unless you're a professional.

Need more power? Just increase fuse size! Works every time! Side effects may include: a burnt down house and diarrhea.

I'm happy that some people already pointed out the obvious issue with this setup, so I don't have to be the smartass though he's aware of it and the cable in question is outside and pretty short and not hidden in a wall so the risk is pretty minimal compared to someone doing this with a regular receptacle in a house

You should also increase the wire size from that breaker to the receptacle that you should upgrade too… it’s a fire hazard for real.

I'm going to reduce it back to 20, I was having trouble with the welder, it was a bad ground clamp!

Awesome! All joking aside, the wire going to your outlet is not large enough to support the 30a breaker, nor is the receptacle rated for 30a. If you want to go to 30a, you need minimum 10ga wiring and a 30a receptacle. There is a real chance of fire with that breaker installed. But hey… your house LOL

Years ago, my parents were permanent RVers and I set up my barn driveway for their 5th wheel. I had a piece of 10g wire about 10' long, so I went straight from the box in my barn to an RV outdoor plug, so my dad could plug his RV into a 30amp/ 110 plug, but not blow the switch. Worked exactly as intended for 15 years.

I was only using like 21 amps! I know, I could smoke the 12 ga wire. It was a temporary solution, I found the actual problem was a bad ground clamp.

I'm 50 percent longer by using this one simple trick, the metric system or millipeter system as known around these parts. No fire risk either.
