@@arkhambricksskylar3808 He is a natural force of the Universe. A check and balance system. His literal purpose is eating inhabited planets to make sure life doesn't overpopulate the whole thing, like pruning weeds from a garden. He doesn't choose to do what he does, it is simply what he was created to do. And if he doesn't feed he dies, its hard to fault a being for doing what it needs to survive. And Galactus has been shown to have remorse for what he does, but starving to death isn't an option. There are numerous different stories on his purpose. But it is pretty well established he isn't "evil".

I imagine the cracking came from the layering: the paint underneath hadn't fully cured when the next layer went on. Letting each layer cure, would prevent this. But it'd make it more time consuming. As an older artist, im kind of blown away at this particular medium - paint in a pen: " who'd have thunk huh!?":😁 Brilliant idea, especially for line work on paintings and detailed highlights. Love your videos man, keep em up👍

Just judging by this piece I’m sticking with Posca’s. They’re more expensive but not so much so that they feel outrageous. Posca’s are a joy to work with too.

17:28. That looks fudging great what are you talking about bro. Your the best artist, you can make anything work.

TIP: Use a water colour pencil to draw your sketches instead of a graphite pen. It will dissolve in the acrylic paint and disappear. No more pen strokes showing through, or eraser tracks smudging up the canvas!

Adding another commet here. If you want smoother, non-cellshaded look with posca pens, using dots instead of actually blending helps a lot and gives a great look as well. (Btw, the drawing looks really great, I like the colors on the posca side more, but for how cheap the others are, the look great)

Only ADCArtAttack could do a Cheap vs Expensive and give us a pix that is one modern age Galactus and the other is golden age Galactus

Man, the difference between these pens colors is like night and day. The quality pens definitely stand out way more.

He is a necessity. To keep the balance in the universe between Death and Eternity. Without him, the cancerverse happens and life becomes corrupted. He does regret all the lives he's taken, he kinda repressed all that, pushed it aside because he's doing what he is meant to do.

He has no morality, no extrinsic or intrinsic motivation, he is literally just a force of nature( which is made obvious by his origins, as he is just a man from a previous universe inhabited by that extinguished universe and “living” in the present universe).

He is a villain, but that doesn't mean he is evil. He doesn't generally compromise with worlds (the only time I've seen it happen is with Squirrel Girl) but then I suppose that's probably because he's starving.

I am glad you mentioned the cracking. I was going to ask about how the markers did with that, as other artists using acrylic have noted that the paint does shrink as it dries, so areas that are more deep/thick with the paint do crack open as they dry no matter what medium they are on.

This is one of the best reveals I’ve ever seen on ADC’s KZread channel

I love your comparisons. I have learned so much about supplies. I love Bob and friends!

I really like using poscas for pointelism. I have the full 3m set, including pastels and deep tones, so I can get super expressive with pointelism with them. I did a snake eye with them in that style recently and really like how it went, it's not a style I delve into much, but I love using poscas for it when I do.

I am very impressed with the editing in your recent videos. Also, using Bob to provide helpful hints and explanations is quite smart. You keep getting better!

It is very apparent that you come from a marker background instead of paint since you start with your light colors instead of putting down your dark base & adding all the highlights afterwards.

You are one of the greatest, o like your personality....I drew a juggernaut and I painted yesterday with a alcohol markets because your "how to color with color with alcohol markers tutorial"... Thank you!

In the future when working with paint markers if you have a fan blowing on it while you work speeds up the drying but to really help it along use a heat gun or blow dryer between colors/coats.

Hi. I enjoyed this video very much. You might want to try a layer or two of acrylic gesso in order to prevent cracking. You could also do two layers of gesso on a wooden painting board. That should take care of the cracking problem on both surfaces.

If you use a smooth surface you can blend really easily with paint markers There are also loads of different cheap options which have bigger or smaller nibs too! I like Tooli Art markers, they have different sets like bright colours or skin & earth tones, they come in large packs, and they have small and big nibs (I used a combination of Posca, Tooli Art and Ohuhu markers on a custom skateboard and the Tooli Art ones were hands down my favourite to work with)

I usually prefer the cheaper stuff, but I'm gonna have to go with the expensive ones this time. The cheap ones have an extremely limited color palette, and as a result made galactus look like baskin robbins cotton candy ice-cream, and they have only one skin tone unless you're drawing monster high characters. At least they could blend somewhat.

I love the way you had this come out, it looks absolutely fantastic. in regards to the drying, have you ever used a heat gun or blow dryer with these pens? I use a blow dryer with my acrylic paints when I paint by hand and am interested in these pen's yet cannot find a vid where people use heatgun/blow dryer to dry. so pondering on risking it myself as that is my preferred method of drying or just slow pacing my way through and let it air dry itself?

Please try Crayola Supertip markers! My wife has some that I used and I was surprised. They aren't your ordinary crayola markers. Your Galactus looks great.

Great video, FYI if you take out the nibs when they are scratchy run them under the warm tap with a bit of washing up liquid and give them a good squeeze on the end of the tips, roll them round in your fingers a little bit with a bit of pressure they work as good as new, this can be an issue after a few months of using the pens where the paint sets in the nib but it's easy enough to clean them and get them working and flowing super smooth again.

Galactus is definently evil, he's just like Thanos, Thanos want to destroy half of the humanity for he's own purpose and same as Galactus

Silver surfer did a bad job because he still tries to eat populated planets like earth and the heroes have to fight him in order to survive so wouldn’t be easier to go for non populated planets so their wouldn’t have to be a struggle.

I love the competitive format for art supplies. Though I strongly disagree with your conclusion, I very much enjoyed watching your process. I like your workflow and the fact that you show problems as they arise, and how you work through them to an admirable conclusion. 👍👍👍

Here’s a tip for blending, but I’m not sure it works on canvas, you could use water and a paint brush to blend the paints of the pens

The drawing is amazing. As for the markers, I have a few poscas - don't really love them. Except the white--that is extremely useful. The other markers look more interesting. I should try and find them.

9:21, I can kinda tell that you wanted to paint the right side of the canvas, with the way you were moving your hand, and I could see the gears in your head turning for a split second of what you were supposed to be doing, and I find that kinda funny XD

You can use the posca color pencils (and probably other color pencils) to layer above the paint markers. Should make it easier to make blends.

Like the cheaper markers for the price point & each side looks stunning. I have posca markers & a box of cheaper Japanese acrylic markers but I haven't used any yet as I have heard they eat paper & I haven't bought a canvas yet. If you are ever looking for another series idea, could I suggest "Using XXX wrong". Where XXX is a type of art supply. I love watching experiments where the usage is pushed in a completely different direction. For example: can you color a canvas or paper or ceramic tile base coated in spray paint.

This is one of your best cheap vs expensives yet! I prefer the pinkish purple armour with the cheaper markers , and the contrast between the background and Galactus looked better with the cheap side aswell In general, it’s the posca marker’s win but considering the price difference, the cheaper markers won this time! Also, I don’t think that Galactus is a villain . What he does is wrong but he has little to no choice , he has to survive somehow
