Contoura Vision and all other vision correction surgeries are considered cosmetic procedures and hence most of the health insurances do not cover it. The best way to figure out whether it is covered in your plan/policy, is to contact your health insurance/TPA and inquire about this. If it is covered by them, then we can process your claim. The another way is to get the pre-approval from health insurance/TPA *through the hospital*. This might take 1-2 days’ of time. In this process, the hospital is required to send all the diagnosis reports and plan of treatment to the TPA. Upon analyzing the patient’s plan/policy and the share reports, the TPA will decided to authorize or reject the approval request .

Contoura Vision and all other vision correction surgeries are considered cosmetic procedures and hence most of the health insurances do not cover it. The best way to figure out whether it is covered in your plan/policy, is to contact your health insurance/TPA and inquire about this. If it is covered by them, then we can process your claim. The another way is to get the pre-approval from health insurance/TPA *through the hospital*. This might take 1-2 days’ of time. In this process, the hospital is required to send all the diagnosis reports and plan of treatment to the TPA. Upon analyzing the patient’s plan/policy and the share reports, the TPA will decided to authorize or reject the approval request .
