The first time I saw the Isetta was on Family Matters. It was Steve Urkel's car.

One model that definitely should have been placed in the list is GM's 1982 prototype called the lean machine! It's part bike and part car. It even had a proposed option to convert it to an airplane on the fly. It was showcased in EPCOT's World of Motion Pavilion for years. It also had a projected fuel economy of 200 mpg! For the life of me, I don't know why they never pursued this further! Oh wait, the oil companies probably had something to say about it! I really wish BMW had kept up the micro car line and other manufacturers had done so as well because that would have reduced a lot of fuel consumption from people who got a normal size car who lived by themselves hardly ever take people with them and don't mean much room to carry stuff

The Chevy SSR is awesome. I actually got to ride in one with a Corvette engine in it. It had a lot of power and it was fun.

FYI most of these high-dollar cars are not comfortable to ride in or sit in

You stated that the one electric car developed was in the 1940s ,I would like to remind you that electrics were made as early as 1925 . They were designed for easy travel for short distances,the Electric failed because women loved them ,and competitors decried them as women's cars and sales to men were not there .
