There's a concept called quantum bogosort, which is roughly: you shuffle the list, then check if it's ordered, and if it's not ordered, destroy the universe. No one can then observe the shuffled list landing in anything but the correct order, so it must have done that.

Also, selection sort is the first one everyone learns and she selected him first before dropping him because he takes forever to do anything. Meanwhile, she may be messing around with merge sort which is always next to quick sort in comparisons. Also, it is called merge so they are merging together. I finally found the video that i was looking for years

I invented a sort once when dealing with a really large dataset on a very bad server, it effectively just skipped the first rational step in the binary search tree sort process and created a pool where it was effectively ordered pairs but then checked the pairs against eachother to determine which was bigger. Worked really well but I could never replicate it to the same level of efficiency and I don't know if it was just the dataset or what that made it work so good.

What's the difference between "insertion sort" and "gnome sort" ? For me, both do the same, taking the part at the most right and slide it into the left until he's at the current right spot. What am I missing ?
