@@leonardomejia550 It is pretty hidden. I didn't find it on my first playthrough and probably never would've known if not for the internet. Main reason being it's hard to look at such random spots when massive balls of fire are being thrown at you.

i think DLC is so unpredictable that you might as well add it to list of secret areas

Honestly and this is no joke unfortunately. I've played all three dark souls and the first remastered on the switch and just brought remastered on the Xbox and only found out yesterday there's dlc for dark souls 1 💀

@@libralonix good, honestly s tier story telling (previous favorite game was shadow of the colossus, expectations high) and the combat was awesome. I found the ending to be very powerful, and it is still at the forefront of my mind. The only thing I didn’t like were the hit boxes and tomb of the giants, blighttown was manageable but holy shit every time I hear “tomb of the giants” I get flashbacks man lol

I personally would highly recommend playing the series in order, DS2 does get a lot of hate (most of it unwarranted and just people jumping on the bandwagon, but it is a very good game), but it does have some more hitbox issues, and in some cases they can be worse than in DS1, but overall its a great game, and has a much bigger scope than DS1. Shadow of the Colossus is a banging game too, i played it when it first came out on the PS2, and also have played the PS4 remake too and both versions are just breath-taking. Tomb of the giants CAN be a nightmare, luckily on my first playthrough I already had the sunlight maggot helm (which lights up the area) so i've never had to joys of playing it completely in the dark. I would definitely recommend getting it or the skull lantern for future playthroughs!

In ocarina of time theres a hole you can crawl through right next to where you start the game, inside youll find the secret kokiri sword.

So far I've never seen a video that gave me information I didn't know in this game. I played way too much Dark Souls when it came out. I was so obsessed it was ridiculous

Same here, although I recently found out that you can exit the forced Seath fight, where he captures you after killing you. Turns out, you're able to exit through the fog gate again!

He featured all the easy to reach ones, then leaves out the blue titanite slab in the crystal caves 😂

@@IrvineTheHunterI mean the elevator key is explicitly told to you if you go to Logan. Just because most people have the master key doesn't mean it's the only way to open his cage. It is weird that the master key works on his cage but not the elevators given it's the same lock. The key is also in a very easily accessible area, all you have to do is go down a staircase. But yeah the bonfire is pretty sneaky. I would not have found it if it wasn't for messages.

@@libralonix it's really useful if you don't immediately go through Anor Londo. The elevator takes you directly to the first axe pathway in the fortress. It's really nice when you go back to do some things before facing O and S.

I hate that drop to Vamos. Mess it up every time!

Cool vid. Don't forget, though, in order to get Ingie to give you his pyromancy, there are a few more steps. First, after you join the Chaos covenant, you have to first get the parasite egg on your head and let him give you the antidote. Then, make sure your intelligence is AT LEAST 11. He won't offer his pyromancy if you are not at 11 intelligence. Then, keep talking to him, and he will ask you if you have an interest in pyromancy. Answer yes, and there ya go!

@@libralonix I was actually kinda surprised by how the illusory walls were easy to find on ds1, normally is in a "obvious" place, or there's some kind of hint, like in the fire place one, there's a window where you can see through the passage. I think it's because my first souls game was Bloodborne, after finishing It, I discovered I missed whole areas and the entire dungeon mechanic 💀

I completely missed it on my first playthrough, with the poison swamp limiting how much I explored I didn't even venture to the outskirts of blightown. I will say it was abit of a let down when I did eventually explore it on my 2nd run, the area (especially Ash lake) just felt so empty

It was really fun to watch this and realize I'd found almost all of them in my own playthrough! (Except that one wall in Sen's Fortress that needs to be hit rather than rolled through...)

So every "secret" area except, 4 & 7 has clues, i.e. you can see into the Anorlondo secret room, via the window pointing at the hallway; also tip on mimics, you can tell which chest is which because one has a chain reaching out to you ready to wrap you up in it's loving embrace.* PS: Also mimics are weak to Lloyd's talismans, using one will put them to sleep. PSS: The Vamos bonfire only exists in the remake, but honestly using the previous bonfire and cutting through Vamos is almost as easy, and well worth the effort for the time saved backtracking.

So for me, I only started the series at the start of last year when all the servers were down, so i had to find most of this stuff without any of the clues! I didn't find either of the catacomb bonfires on my first 2 playthroughs, so for me that area sucked! I still put it off for as long as I have to on new playthroughs!

The chain on the chest also points the opposite directon from a normal chest if it's a mimic. That's how I could tell them apart, until I memorized their locations.

In ash lake there usually is messages if you are online so there is that. I found also almost all of them. Only thing i googled was how to get to DLC since it is kinda weird you have to go that spot like 2-3 times to portal to appear

Young Sif was the only one I didn't know about. I knew she was down there somewhere, but not how to find her. Bit of sad trivia: complete the DLC before fighting Sif in the main game for a heart wrenching alternate cinematic greeting.

Now the giant you can kill in sens fortress (you can kill them all) that opens the door i found on accident during a playthrough on my switch. Never knew about it until about 2 years ago. Dark souls is INSANELY HUGE for its age...I did Code vein first,so I thought I had some idea....but I'm days in,level 246 overall,and I'm barely scratching the surface of what is able to be seen! From really did a great thing,Making it SO MASSIVE...I'm really dumbfounded...

Trying to find sifs summon in that boss area is a pain.

While ash lake is nothing to write home about, its definitely worth a visit, you'll find a familiar mini-boss and an extra covenant hiding a secret weapon! On the note of the blacksmith, during my first playthrough i didn't find the 2nd or 3rd bonfire in the catacombs making it an absolute nightmare for a souls noob.

I knew them all exept the cat one,i am so surprised it's soo coool

@@frankgrimes7388 Its funny you mention that, I don't remember finding Patches here on my first few playthroughs, and then on my most recent Boss Randomiser run I did he was up there. Do you know what the requirements are to make him appear here?

I think ash lake is one of the best hidden areas for many reasons. 1 it’s in blighttown and many new players aren’t going to want to explore it cuz. Well. It’s blighttown. And 2 it’s behind 2 hidden walls and a long fucked up path down a tree with fucking crazy frogs! But when you get there it’s ahhhhhh. I wish they did more with the area.

You missed one on the Crystal pathway to Seath the Scaleless: at the opening of the end of the Crystal tunnel with two Crystal Lizards, there is a long invisible upward twisting Crystal pathway to a Blue Titanite Slab that requires many many Prism Stones to make visible - or not - if you think you can follow the spare falling snowflakes marking the passage to the Slab. Of course, it's really not secret, but the Shiny is easy to miss if you're not paying close attention, as it is very far away. There is also an obscured witch summons hidden by bushes at the bottom of the steps of the tower leading to the Moonlight Butterfly in Darkroot Garden. If summoned, her gear is later available at the end of a short pathway when exiting left from the Firelink Shrine Tower into the Valley of the Drakes/entrance into Blighttown.

There's 2 or 3 I missed on my initial playthrough of ds1. The ladder in sens fortress goin to the rooftop that allows you to fight the giant that opens the gate, I found completely by accident. I told a friend of mine about it and he was shocked as he didn't think that giant could be killed

I found all of these back in the original release for Xbox 360. Oh the nostalgia and literal pain 😂

Didn't know about any of the fires. Currently have the boss in the Duke's Archives left before the last boss. Was knocking out the DLC content first. On the Black Dragon. Those couple hidden things will be nice. I had wondered how that chest was accessed. I am going to need to go back to New Londo Ruins for that chunk.

@Conpauleonina I can completely appreciate that, my first playthrough of the souls games was when the servers were down, so I'm not a huge fan of the Invasion mechanic. Maybe give it a go offline? O&S are also a huge roadblock for all first players, but with a bit of practice you will let through them, one small tip is focus on one of them at a time, and I found pyromancy very handy against orstein in my SL1 run, absolutely melted him!

5:50 if you fought manus without knowing this...your life certainly got very miserable for several hours

@@libralonix And I know there's a LOT of people who don't know. And I know for personal experience, at least 2 players I helped as a summon didn't even noticed the hidden area, or knew but do not knew how to open it.

@@brutusmagnuson315 Yeah, that's a new kind of BS the DLC brough up. The only clue you have is a message let by the developers right in front of the wall which hides the silver pendant saying "Let there be light"

PS3, Prepare to Die, and 360 release didn't have a warpable bonfire at Vamos. That being said, I'm pretty sure veteran fans know this little fact

The bonfire by Vamos is not thee in the original version. Also, if you rest there before you have set the Lord Vessel you will not be able to warp out and will need to fight your way back to the Firelink Shrine. Good luck ! Thanks for the video. Was cool to revisit an old game.

This is true, but you could say that about any area before you have access to warping. I like to unlock the bonfire on my way to pinwheel

I played through with ignorant bliss and missed it on the first playthrough, Ash Lake is not worth the trek through the great hollow imo

I have found all of them in my first playthrough playing offline. I can tell that there are much more hidden areas which are hidden much better.

This is more like 15 illusionary walls. N since this game is about as old as Jesus I knew of all these. Good times tho in Dark Souls

Great video the only area I missed was the bonfire in lost izalith.

I was the same on my first playthrough, the amounts of times i had to do the run back from the fire centipede all the way to bed of Chaos! Felt like a right plonker when I found it 2nd time round lol

@@libralonix if you give 30 humanity to the covenant just the lost izalith you can unlock a shortcut to the bed if chaos.

I am envious that you played these games without googling everything beforehand, or watching speed runners etc. I spoiled most of the "secrets" in this game, the only area I found without knowing it existed, was the poison bit in Lost Isalith where you can meet Seigemeyer.

I'm in a very fortunate position where I get to spend 8 hours a day playing video games, so being able to attempt these "blind" is a luxury most gamers just don't have the time for. Personally, I am so glad i managed to do them this way though, the feeling of accomplishment for literally doing anything was amazing, and the only game i had played even remotely similar before hand was Jedi Fallen Order, so you can imagine how unprepared i was!

I dont understand why this game looks more tense then their successor. Darkroot garden is my pvp spot of all time, the burg, sens fortress, poison swamp, painted world, catacombs, it seems they really put their soul in this game after a pact with the devil or something 😂

Dark Souls is just a phenomenally well designed game, I love the others in the series but they hit the nail on the end with DS!

the blacksmith area next to Pinwheel only has a bonfire in the Remaster. think it might be the only thing that got changed besides graphics

I found all these secrets in my own and the light walls in Oolacile by accident hearing the weird noise but I was wearing the sunlight maggot anyways

Noice let goooo!!! I actually only semi-recently disovered the "weird noise" during a community hunt for some hidden dev messages and it blew my mind, like yourself, i've always had the sunlight maggot helm on on every prior playthrough so found these illusory walls that way

The Longsword, its my go to for most playthroughs, its a classic and i love it!

Mostly common knowledge, but somehow I didn't knew about Isalith bonfire and sen's fortress giant.

I totally missed the izalith bonfire on my first run too, made it hell doing runs to Bed of Chaos!

You forgot the part about if you destroy "Gwynevere" you can get to the Gwyndolin fight without Darkmoon Seance ring

There is a floor message for the first one, but I'm pretty sure i got lucky on my first playthrough and happened to be wearing the Sunlight Maggot helm as i was exploring the area, and voosh it appeared.....or disappeared!?!?

I mean I knew all of these except the one that just gets you a single titanite chunk. If I were you’d I’d mention the place you get the dark ember in the painted world because I don’t even know where it is and just learned it’s there being held by a stone blacksmith

Well full disclosure, the video (and some of my others) are full of spoilers for these areas, so watch at your own peril! And dont worry about being rubbish, everyone is to start off. My first playthrough was diabolical! Really glad your enjoying that game!

Damn, the only ones I never found were #8 and #14.

There are no secrets to any of the souls games or bloodborne for me. I have the collectors edition strategy guides that i bought the day i bought the games. I miss strategy guides.😂

If they are the FuturePress guides they are an absolute must have for any fan, personally i like to play the games blind on a first playthrough, but its great to learn all the secrets after a few playthroughs of exploring!

I already found all these secrets 10 years ago ;)
