    He might be. There's also the matter of his burial ground. Clearly he was important enough for the ancient humans to make such an ornamented grave. Also, an interesting point, is that specifically his humanity cuased the birth of the Abyss, an all-consuming force that exists for thousands of years after Manus' death. Must have had a huge part of the Dark Soul inside of him, as evident by his soul almost looking like a humanity sprite

    God the Boar is such an amazing piece of non linear game design, it restricts your most reliable tool for solving problems and makes you examine ALL of your tools You can try the stealth approach and get a backstab You can use elemental magic to blast through its armor You can get high ground and experiment with the alluring skulls, drawing it in for a risky plunge attack, OR EVEN BETTER chuck one at the burning pyre and let it roast itself! And now I'm learning you can even take it head on and PARRY it???.... WHY ARENT MORE ENCOUNTERS LIKE THIS???

    Meh, I just use a bow and arrows instead. Bows are such overlooked weapons in DS, I rarely see people using them in video clips, but so many things can be cheesed with a bow, hundreds of arrows and some patience to not only find the right spot, but to put 200+ arrows into something that will just stand there and watch.

    Worth noting that not every 2h weapon block will avoid Nito's gravelord sword dance. I don't remember the specific types, but it has to do with how wide your character opens their legs in the block position. Spears are a good guarantee, though.

    Things this video taught me after my dozens of DS1 playthroughs: 1. Nito's annoying attack can be avoided by standing still and blocking with a weapon 2-handed. 2. Ornstein attack loop via items like dragon head stone. 3. Dung pie isn't so useless. 4. Poop walk. 5. Cursed frogs are just that weak. I've never been afraid of them as they've always been child's play for me, but still, kinda shocking to know they're so weak. 6. You can kill capra demon without entering the boss arena. I've yet to try any of these, but it's such great info. Always love trying out neat stuff like this in soulsborne games.

  • @SaHaRaSquad

    @SaHaRaSquad

    5 ай бұрын

    You can combine two of those by poisoning Capra demon with dung pies and just waiting for him to die. Also the two-handed Nito evasion works because that attack's hitbox is actually only high enough to hit the legs, and if you block two-handed the legs spread just barely enough to avoid it.

    I figured out that Nito only uses the gravelord sword dance attack when you're too far away for his other attacks to hit you, so I fought him up close for as much of the fight as possible. He also has some threatening close range attacks but he telegraphs them more heavily so I found them easier to deal with.

    Hi, just logged in real quick to tell you how awesome your videos are. I love that you still do content about DS1 despite that game being 12 years old by now - and I still learn new things each video despite being a long term fan myself! I especially love the insanely detailed older videos like Domnhall - they go to show very nicely how detailed Miyazaki and team imagined their world and how much internal consistency they strove for. It is truly amazing and every work of fiction should strive for this mass of untold but consistent lore :)

    I was never quite sure, but I remember thinking that maybe the Stone Dragon's nest is actually inside the trunk of the tree that reaches up and out over Firelink Shrine. It's a rather suspiciously large tree, and if you look out over Blighttown toward the Great Hollow, it seems like it may be the same distance as the bases are apart in Ash Lake. All my gameplay/item discoveries were in the later games, though. In Elden Ring, I did find a bug where if you roll during a crouch and swap one of your weapons before the roll ends, you'll enter a "half-crouch" as long as you keep moving. Basically, your legs will be in standing animation, but your torso will still be hunched. This allows you you to sprint while technically crouching, looking a bit like you're Naruto running. It's a good way to psych people out with a colossal sword crouchpoke during a jog, lol.

    10:06 you can just bind jump to a seprate button from your roll. Mines set to L3 and when I press the roll/sprint button while sprinting I always roll.

    Despite THOUSANDS of hours in this game and respectable (for 2017) speedrun times, I didn't know you could defeat nito's sword like that. Marvellous.

    That last shield jump tip... it doesn't occur if you try to roll instantly after putting the shield up while running. This made me die against Gwyndolyn, more than once.

    I never knew about how effective dung pies could be! I didn't even bother to use them. I guess anything could be useful if you know how to use it.

    I don’t know if it’s considered a cheese or not but usually you’d want to deal with everyone before the bull itself on the top floor then on the way back down the bull charges right into a fire pit trying to get to you, instantly killing him depending on how he sits in it

    You get alluring skulls up top by the two bowmen. The intended strat is to throw a skull in the fire and the boar will just walk right in.
