Thank you for vlogging and sharing your very practical reasons why you chose Calgary. Just like you both, we both ventured the first class world since living in a third world country is difficult especially if you are not wealthy. In 1974 we got interested in migrating to the United States. My sister and her don’t husband had migrated earlier. Everything that you said is true. You have to know the rules and regulations otherwise it will difficult for you. Young and ambitious, we came on the third preference visa meaning professionals immigrant visa. At that time applying at the USA embassy was easy. We complied all the requirements and got approved to migrate. Our destination, Chicago, Illinois. We were married without kids at that time. Our goal is just to work and then come back to the Philippines and enjoy life. All of these happened and we are grateful to God for His divine guidance, provision and safety. In this life you have to make choices and live in balance. We are now retired and got stock here in the Midwest. I love 💕 it when it is spring, summer, and fall but winter is what I don’t like but we are here waiting patiently for spring time. We missed the Philippines but I don’t think we can live there now because our body is used to this kind of life. We are all looking for paradise. It is beyond us. Paradise is only true after life here. Meanwhile we are busy sharing the truth about eternal life which is most important to understand in other to enjoy God’s quality of life. Keep doing what you’re destined to do. You are on the right track. Take good care of your family!!!

Only i can say in Calgary is small tax 5% or 7% but extreme weather during winter , most of the job sites are too far, mahal ang upa sa apt.IF. i compare Montreal mas affordable ang bahay dito. Mura ang renta sa Apt.very accessible ka sa worksite May Metro transit which is underground the only thing Quebec is kailangan mong magaral ng french language.15% ang tax mataas pag nagretire ka dalawa magiging pension mo sa Quebec Provincial at Federal.

Moved to Hardisty, Alberta from Vancouver 10 years ago. We never regretted our move. Small Alberta towns are less expensive and the houses are way cheaper. Good decision.

sobrang well researched po galing. Ang affordability po talaga ng bahay is a big factor why we chose Calgary considering po if vancouver or toronto you need to be atleast 1 to 2 hrs away from the city para medyo affordable ang presyo ng mga bahay. Pero in your case walking distance lang from work haha definitely hard to beat. FYI dyan lang po kami sa harap nyo nakatira harap ng goodwill when we landed here 6 yrs ago pero don lang po kami sa Calgary housing na bldg right across mcleod at para po sa mga low income lang.But i guess the rest is history ika nga ngayon ok na din po.

Mag start din po kayo ng TFSa, try to max it out and invest in index fund. Treat it as a bill para sa future.

Once you get used to the cold weather, you don't want the hot weather anymore. Like anything above 20C is too hot na! Hehe just saying!

Pangarap ko rin talaga jan maka punta sa Banff at makapagpa-picture sa pamosong Lake Louis, 8 yrs na kami dito sa Winnipeg pero hindi pa nakaka punta jan kasi nga sobrang layo. Sa sobrang laki ng Canada bawat probinsya magkakaiba ng oras 😊😊,hopefully next year makapag long drive papunta jan sa Alberta.🙂

makalipat na ngaren jan sa Calgary, lintik ung rental dto sa Toronto. $2200 ung matinung apartment tapos ang dami pang restrictions tsk2 kamote tlga dto sa Toronto. Sana madali lang makahanap ng apartment jan sa calgary hehe more power sa vlog nyu.

Thats the only nice place to visit Banff in Alberta Rocky mountain maski summer may snow pa sa tuktok ng bundok ng ibang magandang mapasyalan compare dito sa amin sa Quebec maraming attractions dito pinakamalaki kasi sa buong Canada ang Quebec province.

I pray u could help my 2 grand daughters who are planning to apply for SP pathway there in Calgary.

Medyo parehas po tayo ng choices...may bro in law ako sa BC and Tito in Toronto but we chose Edmonton. Para sa akin good choice ang Alberta dahil affordable and totoo na maraming lumilipat na mga kababayan natin especially na may program ngayon ang Alberta "Alberta is calling" kaya madami lumilipat.

Hi Alwin and Emma, Been following you guys since you landed. Just keeping an eye on your daily activities. We live in the Northeast and we've been here since 2008. One thing you missed though is Drumheller for the biggest Dinosaur exhibit in the North (if you're a fan of Dinosaurs). It's the best and been there lots of time. Also Calgary is always included in top 10 most livable cities in the world. You can Google it. I watch you guys to remind us everyday that still how lucky we are to be here in Canada...👍

Yung "Free Education" is not free it is being shouldered by the taxes we are paying. If you own a property, yearly in your property tax assessment there will be an option to support the public or catholic education system by the virtue of your tax payments.

Di nyo yata nabanggit na marami rin mga pinoy dito sa Calgary - kaya lang grupo2 din ang mga pinoy dito - mayroon grupo magkamaganak, mayroon religious group , mayroon visaya, tagalog, ilokano group, at seniors group. Kung sabagay bago palang kayo dito pero mamemet nyo rin yong grupo gusto nyo. Sa Edmonton ganoon din, marami rin grupo2 ng mga pinoy at malamang madadalas ang drive nyo sa Edmonton gaya ko may mga kamaganak sa ibaibang lugar sa Canada at USA. Ako pala si Franklin sa NE Calgary. Nice to meet you guys. 36 years na ako dito sa Calgary, kung may tanong kayo ayos lang huwag lang personalan. Retired senior citizen na ako ang masasabi hindi kayo magsisi pagtanda nyo dahil halos libre lahat pati ambulansiya at mga gamot at ospital. Hindi kayo nagkamali ng pagpili dito sa Calgary dahil Alberta ang pinakamayaman province ng Canada - dahil sa dami ng oil & gas at ibang resources Alberta ang nagbibigay ng ayuda sa mga ibang provincia. Kung pagpipilian ang Edmonton o Calgary , sa Calgary pa rin ako dahil mas malapit sa USA border at di gaanong malamig kasi ang Edmonton ay Northern part na ng Alberta.

Good Day po. Ako po yung nagcomment dun sa Jollibee vlog nyo tungkol sa lamig at sabi nyo po Basta tama ang suot para sa lamig, kaya naman. Thank you po sa vlog nyo tungkol sa Calgary. Ngayon po sa awa ng Dios, Sana makahanap din po ako ng employer sa Job Bank na nasa Calgary po o kaya malapit din po dun. Sya nga pala po, Nakapanuod na po ako ng vlogs ng tungkol sa suot sa lamig na gawa ng Canadians po, kaso po parang masyadong general po. Thermal underwear nga po at jacket pero ang tanong po ay yung suot pangaraw araw na gamit natin sa Pinas, Paano po kaya isusuot o ihahalo sa mga thermal? Kung Hindi naman po sosobra, Baka naman pwede po kayo magvlog tungkol sa mga suot po na dapat I suot. ng Pinoy po. Kasi Baka kailangan ko pa po bumili sa ukay na gawa sa wool o polyester kaya po? Pasensya na po, kasi po alam ko po nandyan na po kayo so mas alam nyo po ito. Thank you po.

Generally safe and peaceful. Pero depende po kasi saan ung nearest workplace na tinutukoy nyo. Sakin po safe naman, I just walk papuntang work.

Hello! For me, you should take the bar. A plan is just a plan until it gets materialized. Ang Canada, nanjan lang. But yung momentum mo to review and take the bar baka mawala if paglipasan ng panahon. Just my two cents.
