15 Most Unusual Vehicles Ever Made

Ойын-сауық

Widely regarded as the first motor vehicle, the Benz-Patent Motorwagen hit the streets in 1885, and since then, designers, scientists, inventors, and innovators have been working around the clock to catapult vehicles even further into the future. And with things like amphibious cars, all-terrain vehicles, and even vehicles ready for the impending zombie apocalypse, it looks like vehicle manufacturers are doing a pretty job. But you can’t have that much innovation without the occasional hiccups and failures that tend to pave the road to success. So join us for today’s video, where we look at the 15 most unusual vehicles!

    The TEB would be a great idea if used to transport cars on journeys it could easily be a double decker for longer journeys a limited number of stops would mean less cars on the road and drivers would get to their destinations with their own transport and fell a lot more relaxed and awake.

    You are incorrect about the T-Rex shaker it is not the first nor the only ground vibrating vehicle. Western Geophical, a oil, narural gas and precious metals research company has "The Six ton ground vibrating truck that works in conjuction with the six million dollar truck, a computer system on wheels that reads the returning vibrations and translates them into readable information about underground resources. On a single center pedestal, the 6 tons is lifted off the ground and radically vibrates the ground. I worked on a Western Geophical crew looking for oil in Lost Hills area and gas reserves in Death Valley in California 1983 to 1985.

    12:38 Correction... Walking harvester has been developed and build long before 90s by company called TIMBERJACK in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. Timberjack had several great forestry designs, JOHN DEERE couldn't compete with Timberjack, company which has been around since the 40s. So John Deere bought Timberjack out, mostly for the patents and designs, then shut down Timberjack. Problem is... John Deere didn't implement Timberjack quality and reliability to their designs, they ruined Timberjack designs as well in order to save money, now Timberjack doesn't exist, and John Deere forestry equipment is average at best.

  • @jfpiv

    @jfpiv

    Жыл бұрын

    The walking harvester was developed by Timberjack's R&D devision in 99, not long before the 90s. It was based off Timberjack technology that was developed in 1995. They were bought out by JD in 2000, so by the time they were developing it, they were almost definitely in negotiations. JD finished the development, hence the JD branding on the three final prototypes. So your "correction" is only partially correct.

    @@jfpiv I worked for Timberjack when this was going on, Same as self leveling feller bunchers. To this day many old forestry companies say that Timberjack quality was day and night better than JD who slashed costs. I remember when they told us we will no longer use parts we were using because now JD will send us their parts, absolute junk. Also, JD never finished the project, they killed it.

    @@jfpiv Up in Northern parts of Canada they use Timberjack machines that are older than me and I am almost 50! Skidders especially, they just won't quit. When we got bought out by JD and JD parts started arriving we all used to say that these are not machines that will last for generations. Metal substituted with cheap plastic everywhere they could, and when you say TANKS, I know you mean it, even gauge of steel was way heavier on older Timberjack machines. I went on to work for General Motors after JD shut us down and moved the production out of Canada, but I miss that good old Donkey logo, so many good memories. Glad to hear that our Timberjack machines are still serving you well, I hope they will serve you well for many more years to come. Thise machines were build by men and women who took great pride in the product they build. 🤝🍻

    The "flying car" industry will never get insurance to become reality. There's no minor accidents and in crowed urban locations the liability through civil courts seeking compensation for damages n trauma would be impossible to win in trial. Underground high speed pods zero third party liability.. I guess that's why they call it dope? Does your computer always do what you tell it to? Flying Autonomous cars? Hire a helicopter Kobi did. Too valuable for traffic.

    T-Rex might weigh about as much as a Tiger tank - about 60 tons. You’ve massively exaggerated its weight. Bulk ore carriers and middling-large cruise ships are about 64,000 tons. Stop publishing badly researched nonsense. If you’d stated 64,000 kg ✅. 😏 The TEB would be fantastic for scissoring pedestrians and nipping ladders off tradie trucks!
