What makes this channel stand out over other cooking channels for me is how accessible Aaron makes his recipes for the average, everyday home cook. Many recipes require harder to obtain ingredients which puts most people off even trying to replicate his dishes but Aaron (almost) always will suggest much more practical and obtainable alternatives which always result in delicious looking food and Claires reviews are testament to their quality.

3:10 "If there's no one around you, then imagine you're a pro chef on a TV show." This guy totally gets it.
I wish Aaron was around when I was just learning how to cook. This guy is just so good for people starting to learn. This is actually a pretty complicated dish for a new chef to make, but Aaron does a great job at guiding people, and encouraging them to do their best. I also really appreciate how accessible he makes his recipes.

Great idea Claire! Yes, please Aaron, show us how to make soft boiled eggs. Of course we could find it elsewhere, but your teaching videos are so much better!
@Activated_Complex
3 жыл бұрын
In the meantime, look up some easy onsen tamago (hot spring egg) recipes. They’re very simple, requiring precision mainly in the volume of hot and cold water for the specified number of eggs. You can remove some uncertainty around the temperature of the cold water by finding a recipe that calls for adding actual ice water. Or room-temperature water that has been allowed to stand. Or by using a thermometer.
@luci4087

it isn’t that hard. just look up soft boiled eggs or ramen eggs.

Thank you everyone for sharing how you make your eggs. I personally like mine at 6.5 minutes. I’ve found many other videos on how to, and indeed is very easy, but my comment was more to request a video from Aaron & Claire making it simply because I enjoy watching them. 😁
I dropped a full bottle of soy sauce in my kitchen while I was making a rice bowl following one of your recipes and instead of freaking out I said to myself "Don't worry about it!". Thank you for another great recipe full of your positivity! Can't wait to try it! ♡
