Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Funky, out of sight, and dy-no-mite! It's a long time ago now, but 1970s car builders were designing some bold lines as they worked to develop those crazy concept vehicles that now seem rather commonplace in today's cars.
In this video, we're bringing you 15 of our favorites from that era, so sit back, mellow out, and enjoy the ride!

There were a lot of production cars in your concept car video, do you understand the difference between them.

1978 pinto wagon
Met the owner and saw the Boomerang in Monterey. He found it in Barcelona and had a restored and took it back to Switzerland. I believe it has resold since. The owner, at the time, had a briefcase with about 20 models of the car displayed on one side. I spent months trying to find a model of the boomerang in the US, UK and Europe with no luck. She is one of one and is just stupendous as well as still futuristic looking. Way ahead of its time!
LOVED THE SEVENTIES AND THESE CONCEPT CARS ARE ONE OF THE REASON I DO!!!
Отдельное большое спасибо за деление на эпизоды с каждым концептом!!!
They need to bring some of these designs back.

Yup.. but we ended up getting the dodge K car instead
TO TEST DRIVE CONCEPT CARS WOULD BE A DREAM JOB!
I'm having flashbacks of Marty and Doc, the wedge was THE design for the 70's. Cool video.
It's a Mercury Bobcat! Used to know a guy who had one. Except it had a bubble window on the panel.
Wish there is a Modern Boxy Cars ,Brings back the Old days
The wedge shape always reminds me on the car of "Danger Mouse" ^^

I like these types of design language, old school and feeling more mature. The Ferrari 308gt rainbow really captured the intergalactic racecar theme with the square shape and the wheelhouse design covering the back wheels on it.
Thanks for the flashbacks guys... Formative years, though I was always into the muscle cars, not the sleek and slippery ones.
Back in the early eighties I had a 1976 Triumph TR7 (actually 2--one to drive, 1 for parts). Typical British high maintenance but MAN what a blast in the mountains!!
Love the michelotti with the 61 Pontiac taillights..lol..
The Alfa Romeo Navajo is utterly amazinly beautiful and just amazing ..omg I want it
Each designers expression of futuristic comfort. Thanks for the video.
Now I know where Elon got his ideas for the Cybertruck from!

I love those wedge cars . I wish they made it to production . Closest was a Subaru svx
I've watched a couple of these Videos with concept cars from the 70's and 80's.... no mention of Franco Sbarro. He had some of the craziest concepts, like the hub-less wheel...
For me MASERATI BOOMERANG is a number one. Un saluto dall'Italia.
Futuristik & elegan
Thank for a nostalgic look back at childhood dreams. That were pretty cool back then.
At school in the 70’s I was a member of the ‘Science Club’ and as a treat the CEGB (Central Electricity Generating Board) brought along ‘the car of the future’ to show off to us. It was (drum roll please) an Enfield 8000!

Car collector seeks an Enfield 8000 in original cardboard box, name your price!
Ford Pinto, USA. Hot Wheels made the Poison Pinto, when I was a kid.🇨🇦
And now we have big grills.... on everything.
All I have to say after watching this video is WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!
Спасибо за интересный и познавательный видос!
Keep up the great work. Also your triva car was a Ford Pinto. Pinto was my first car. Not the wagon. My cousin had a wagon like that. With a little round window on the sides towards the top corner.
Kar a sutra was a crude joke which thankfully didn't made to the production, by watching the video I realized rear mid mounted engine cars are best performance oriented fuel efficient cars even a small capacity engine can do the job.

Mercury Bobcat delivery panel wagon.
What a great video again, I just love watching your videos!!!!! Keep up the good work.
NICE JOB ON THIS VIDEO. AWESOME CARS
AND THE CORRECT ANSWER TO THE TRIVIA IS: It's a 1978 Ford Fiesta Van by Ford of Europe! It may have shared some parts from a 3-door Ford Pinto, but it's not named after the Pinto.
That's a 1978 Ford Pinto Stationwagon. Mine was sky blue and had windows all around.

Ahh, but that was the sedan delivery version.
So, all a car company has to is combine all of those cars into one, economical, easy to drive product. Kept thinking Back To The Future while seeing these rides!!
With the exception of 14 and 13 all would look cool even today
I've seen the Monteverdi Hai in person, and I loved it. I also saw the BMW Turbo, and the front is cool, the rear not so much. But when I saw the Ferrari Modulo I was stunned. It is definitely the wildest, most impracrical car I have ever seen.
Lancia Stratos and Alfa Romeo Navajo prototypes are awesome!
I’ve seen pictures of the Dale for a few decades but somehow never noticed the taillights. They look exactly like the ones that adorned my 70 Pontiac Firebird. Neat.
these cars are bomb!!!
Ford Pinto wagon that was an earlier production model here in CA painted orange with a little round back window!

I love unusual concept cars!!
4:32 The Skoda Super Sport was later redesigned, for a film, and in the later form is known as Skoda Ferat, after the rally car from the film 'Upir z Feratu' (Vampire of Ferat) , that was killing people to use their blood as fuel xD.
1974 ford pinto wagon. Cool little car.
Those cars are way more stylish than any today's car. Imo. Edit: I have that Nissan 126X majorette toy car.
Part of me kind of want the styling of the 2020's to be streamlined wedge shaped cars like the Cybertruck and some of these concept cars. Don't know if it will look good, but i guess anything will be better than the super aggressive cars we have right now.
@CariHere
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm also really tired of the abundance of overly aggressive, semi-rounded, edgy car designs in the 2010s that have headlights so small that it's hard to fathom how they even properly illuminate the road.
Wedge Antilles would be proud of all these...but not with how 40 years later we've pretty much forgotten about aerodynamics
All theses wedge cars and no Triumph TR7 The Shape Of Things To Come..... Car #2 reminds me of Racer X's car In Speed Racer.
All would make a PERFECT MATCHBOX COLLECTORS BOX SET

Matchbox made #11, the Monteverdi Hai. That’s for sure.
14 IS A REAL SWEET CHOICE! LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT
The B.M.W one became the M1.
The vehicle in this video as the trivia question is a Ford Pinto delivery van. We used to call Pintos 'explodomobiles' due to the tendency of the gas tanks to rupture when rear-ended, causing fires, in some cases fatal.
Allie, thought it was a Pinto wagon but the front end looks more like the 1976 Chevy Vega and in a wagon coachworks similar car available in Australia. Thinking it looks like the car in Mad Max

1978 pinto cruising wagon. I had a 1977 version
Pinto wagon. Car I learned to drive in. In 1979
Good video.. Each item done as in usual Minds Eye Design fashion.. catchy intro, Great visuals & a minimum of information. Probably a reflection of the short attention span of the mass of today's viewers, but for those of us who have the patience to want (&wait) for more.....
It's a nice list anyway, keep the good work, and Bertone he's a god. 😁
Ford Pinto Sedan Delivery - only available for a short time, but it was a production model.
About that '78 Ford Pinto Panel Wagon... I see one almost every day sitting about 4 miles from my house.
L👀ks like a Pinto Wagon Delivery. I like it.
`'' La conception des yeux de l'esprit !!! '' Un titre vraiment super bien choisi ! De magnifiques voitures ! Bravo !!! ;
Love most of those Italian designed cars (especially the Ferrari Modulo), although I preferred what the original Stratos design evolved into for rallying than that concept-car shown! The colour of this Lancia concept made the car look like a chocolate that had softened in the sun!
めっっっっっちゃかっこええ!
4:00 Looks like if Delorean had a luxury model.
The 1971 Maserati Boomerang looks like the kind of car you'd need a shower rail to get in and out of. Actually, a lot of the Italian ones from the 1970's look too low and small to get in and out of.
Trivia answer- It's a 1978 Ford Pinto station wagon, converted into a delivery vehicle.

i know im probably too late, but that was a 1978 chevy vega wagon. i think that specific model was called something like a "tradesman" or something, intended for the "working man"
This cars all cool
It's a Ford Pinto station wagon with blackout panels I went across country in one left Morehead City North Carolina ended up in Ventura California three months later
Looks like either an AMC or a Pinto wagon of some kind.
1978 Ford Pinto "fun truckin'" delivery.
I had always wondered which car was in the background, inside the Knight Rider truck. Thanks for showing me the Nissan.👍
The gullwing luggage door is cool, it would be really practical for parking lots, since you could load grocieries or luggage from the side, when you can't get behind the car.
Ford Pinto Wagon 1978
I liked the wedge the TR7 and X19 were production wedge cars I prefer that to today’s jelly bean look .
I preferred the honorable mention best
I saw a Monteverdi in a car show once, don’t remember the model but it was a business style sedan

The trivia car is a Ford Pinto Delivery Wagon. Some of them were dressed up to match their Econline Shaggen Wagon. Chevrolet had the Vega Panel that came out before Pinto Delivery

Is it just me or are the honourable mentions the best of the bunch? That Nissan is a bit extra, but in all the right ways.
The back end of number 2 look like a Cadillac
If I had the cash I would rock all those.
I'd roll some of these TODAY. Starting with #1.
The Ford Pinto Wagon
The guess? Pinto station wagon. My parents had one when I was in junior high.
same gandini's design for the maserati boomerang and the lamborghini countach 😉

They should of gone into production 👌
The trivia car looks like the '78 Ford Pint Cruising Wagon without the round window in the sides.
A 1978 ford pinto delivery
That’s a car from ur show on KZread GUUUURL
I like the Maserati, Nissan and the last Ferrari. Some manufacturers have good taste the common public can't afford. I'd take most of them.
That Astin Martin looks like tesla new truck
Muy buenos diseños, destacan los perfiles bajos y agudos, estaría bueno una descripción en detalle de más de uno de estos innovadores diseños. Sigan publicando cosas así.
That was either a Ford Pinto or a Mercury Comet , wagon!
All of these look like toys to me there's just a plastic like look to them.
I DONT REMEMBER TOO MANY OF THESE CARS IN THE SEVENTIES! MAYBE BECAUSE I WAS TO BUSY RAISING 3 KIDS?
It's a Ford pinto delivery wagon.
