Imagine flying car rage?! What will they call it? A Flight Fight?!

In the 1950's we were told that flying cars would be commonplace by the 21st century. Nope. Watching this video was like going to a car show and seeing the concept cars-the cars that will never be.

JetPack Speeder experimental version seems like the best mentioned in this list. Simplicity and practicality are the key, assuming it wld be capable of doing more than 200 km range per filing/ charge. Over 240km at altitude of 4600 meters $380k should be much worthy for the specs compared to the italian and Dubai police dept flying bike mentioned in this list.

The TF-2 it’s very promising, eliminate the cabin and the drivers position on the truck platform and just keep a simple four wheel truck platform and drive while landing on the truck platform all while staying in the original cockpit of the flying vehicle or helicopter simply land on the truck platform/skateboard platform and then drive off to your destination only to takeoff and fly again. They are by eliminating any cabin on the truck or skateboard platform and do it by connecting snapping into place with the helicopter flying vehicle.

Still nothing beats a gyroplane for safety in recreational flying. The Hawk 4 is/was amazing 5 passenger gyro. If the engine goes out in a gyro you really don't care since you can still land it safely. A gyro an handle crosswinds much better than a fixed wing and you don't worry about stall. People with these technologies (in video) barking up the wrong tree. Powered props not the way to stay airborne when you factor in everything. These oversized drones have wow factor but not practical.

I definitely want one but I prefer a two seater

I find it hard to picture a busy sky with people flying around on these types of aircraft, I'll stay on the ground for now.

Even if a real flying car could exist, it wouldn’t be like Back to the Future where you just drive and fly any time anywhere..residential, downtown, city etc. the death rate and destruction would be insanely high and the training would be more extensive than becoming a real pilot. The one possibility are cars that hover 1-2 feet off the ground. This would save millions in road construction, less animal road kill, maybe less accidents with ability to tilt upward on slow speed fender benders. But then you would put a ton of companies out of business

If toy drones exist for 30$ to make it fly whenever you want then what is the difference between the toy drones or big drones ? I believe flying cars will be more than the cars we have now and will be computerized.

It's a showdown between the TF-X and the Aston Martin (different list)! However, the TerraFugia Transition looks like a win to me.

People can't even drive cars anymore. Can't imagine people fighting over parking spaces in these contraptions.

I sure hope flying cars will eliminate road rage. The part that bothers me is how many people are unable to drive land based vehicles safely what happens when you put a projectile on the air at a couple thousand feet. What goes up must come down.

I hear you. It appears that many of these flying machines intended for transportation are heavily computerized and hopefully there will be a standard language being spoken by flying cars so that they all know where each other are and will be able to keep from colliding with one another.

Hmm, the specs on the Blackfly have changed since last years video I watched. It claimed back then that it's speed was considerably less and range was much less. And it had a RL video of it basically just hovering and spinning around. This animated video shows it really moving out at a high rate of speed.

Secondly the speeder should change his design by tilting the turbine forward towards the front and the back so that the pilot can lay onto the vehicle, in a triangular chassis or body shape with wings and perhaps either a parachute or bouncing ball, Landing emergency besides regular landing gear.

If the Ehang were powered by a conventional engine with drive shafts to the props it would be effective I think. Just add 3 wheels and a link to the engine and make the prop shafts hinge up so the propellers are above the cab out of the way and that would pretty much be your practical flying car.

@@CrotalusHH Where have you been? The atom was cracked open about a century ago. Technology has come a long way in a short two centuries. I don't think an electric engine, in this day and age, is incapable of providing such thrust.
