Ойын-сауық

Not all dogs are small, fluffy and adorable. Some are huge beasts! And while some are huge but nice, like Clifford the Big Red Dog. Some are big, but fearsome. Some could even rival a wolf in a brawl. Yes, really. These are dog breeds that can defeat wolves!

The most intimidating dog I've ever seen was a Chijujia who lived in my neighborhood. No one owned him. He just ran around going here and there. He was missing an eye and had scars all over from being in fights. He had a big lump on the top of his head that might have been a tumor. We all called him the Colonel. One night really late, I heard garbage cans rolling around and a bunch of racket in my neighbor's yard and yipping. The Colonel beat the shit out of both of his labs and he had to rush them to the vet. He used to squat in the middle of the road and dare someone to run him over. Didn't give a fuck. I haven't seen him for a year or so. I assume he's dead. But what a badass.

@@lawrencegaither6912 I'd like to see real numbers. Bite force don't mean shit. It's the fight. A boxer may punch stringer tgan another and still get his ass whipped. Bite force us NOT everything. Rottweilers and Dobermans have a stronger Bite force so they claim than most other breeds but will still fall short on the videos I've seen to other dogs. Just because one can Bite down on something does not mean it automatically wins a fight. That's not even close.

I don’t know about Wolves, but the Dogo argentino has been known to kill mountain lions one on one. They are fast, agile and fierce, and are the result of a selective breeding program that combined the best traits of fighting, hunting and guard dogs while remaining excellent family companions. I am glad they were included at Westminster for the first time this year.

Force pink medicine that keeps people from throwing up down it's throat along with Pedialyte Force it if they don't take it Aggressive action is necessary to save life It worked for my dog. Mine was at the brink of death tongue hanging out ribs u could see with each breath. Longing for death. I held it with each time he vomited to keep him from laying in it I kept him cool and warm both I stayed awake night and day 2 weeks through this as much as I could He fevered was laying in tub when I awoke I talked sang comforted him lived him I gave my all at every motion he expressed I nurtured. I gave him the will to live. His spirit kept him alive through my love and friendship. He knew I would not let go I would not let him go. He knew I wasn't giving up on him. I made him understand that. And A whole lot of praying. Day and night. Non stop praying. When I prayed I also blessed my dog with holy water. His water he drank was holy water his Pedialyte I blessed his medicine I blessed his covers he laid on I blessed his body I blessed. The house inside and out I blessed. I really have every once of energy I had. As he gave his all to survive. I was drained of energy as so was he. We suffered together. My body held him til it was over. My touch was always and constant. We were like one. Then when one day there was a small breakthrough. I tried baby food in the pink stuff and Pedialyte. Mixed all together. He came through.

If a particular dog - as far as you're aware - hasn't actually fought a wolf, it isn't fact that it would/could beat one. In fact, wolves vary in size as well and some are as massive as some of the dogs shown in your video, which changes the equation significantly.

No dog in the world could survive a fight to death with an alpha male North American Gray wolf. Simply because no dog has the stamina and endurance. Gray wolf kills for survival it goes straight to the throat. Dogs are fed by their owners which means they don't have the killer instinct. I am Turkish, we have this Kangal breed for livestock protection the animals are always protected by a spike collar around their neck without which their chances are very slim to come out alive from a fight and the Anatolien wolves are pretty harmless in comparison to Gray wolves. Therefore this documentary is anecdotal. It doesn't specify with wolf.

@@barracuda7018 And you the same way you can't say a particular dog can definitely kill a wolf you can't say wolves can definitely kill some breeds of dog (we're obviously not talking about beagles). And how do you know anything about the stamina and endurance of a wolf - Gray or otherwise? Sounds like you're literally making things repeating factoids you've picked up somewhere. Is it true? Who knows?

Mind boggling endurance. Gray wolves are enormously powerful and vicious and also so called combat proven. Especially the pack leaders. No dog in the world could kill them in one on one confrontation. This video is anecdotal, there are wolves and again there are wolves. Kangals killed wolves but in almost most cases it was 3 Kangals equipped with neck protection against one wolf. And Turkish Anatolian wolves are just a little more vicious than North American coyotes. Gray wolf of Cascade mountains is in a different league.

As many people have commented already, wolves are wild animals. They live to survive and that means they are born with a survival instinct. If one of these dogs on this list was in protective mode, they will do some damage one on one; however, wolves are not solitary creatures and chances are, if there is one wolf, there are others close by.

Wolves generally aren't going to mess with livestock when a dangerous fight is involved. However, one guard dog may be overcome by a pack of wolves. Some people suggest using a Donkey instead of a guard dog because they are loud and can warn a the whole flock, while also giving well placed dangerous kicks to coyotes or wolves. And they are usually well over 200 pounds. With several donkeys, wolves will run the other direction. I don't think wolves are the real problem, it is those 20- 30 pound coyotes that are everywhere.

Jerry the Platypus, an English Mastiff is a great dog, but when it comes to fighting, it has no endurance to last long in a fight. If he does not kill the other dog in the first minute, he would lose on endurance. Great against people, not pitbulls or Timber Wolves.

Yea my 200 lb English Mastiff was the biggest momma’s boy, until there was a threat. My 170 lb female is also very protective, pushes me back and barks and snarls if she doesn’t like someone, like the icky drunk guy that was trying to get too close. Had I let her loose, no doubt she would have had him on the ground. Don’t know how they’d do with a wolf though.

This video is pretty comical. Against some of the smaller European wolves, these dogs stand a fighting chance, but not the American Timberwolf. A large Timberwolf is much bigger and stronger than most people realize. It has a bite force of over 1,200 PSI. A pit bull has a bite force of about 250 PSI. The other thing to keep is n mind is that a domesticated dog is reacting on instinct, not experience. A wild wolf hunts and kills things on a daily basis. Your pet dog simply has no chance of winning this fight. I’ve seen a large Timberwolf take down an 800 pound animal in Yellowstone National Park. It was unbelievable to see. It’s unlikely that any pet dog would last very long in this fight.

Lone wolves can and do hunt and can take down large prey. However, by and large, they're pack animals and generally hunt as such. And yes, a domesticated dog has little chance against a wolf which is of course a wild animal who survive by hunting other animals, whereas domesticated dogs seldom if ever do. That's not to say a dog will never chase a squirrel for example.

The wolf isn’t going to fight the dog unless it’s starved cuz, that’s not efficient hunting. The dog works by making it not worth it to the wolf, not by being tougher than the wolf. Cuz none of them are.

There are a few facts that you forgot to mention about the Dogo Argentino, Number 1, the females are the alpha of the pack. Usually, wolves will send out the females to get the males to follow, that is the wolves' first mistake. Second the Dogo's hunt in a pack not by themselves. As for you Joe you need to learn your facts the Dogo can take down a grizzly, mountain lion, puma and they show no fear. If you don't believe me you can look up a Dogo going after a puma for attacking 2 kids. They are not a dog to mess with.

A group of 3-4 wolves can fight off a grizzly bear which is more op than any dog by far. - People use spiked collars on breeds like Kangal and act like its a fair fight. Its like me wearing Russian bear hunting suit and calling myself stronger than all bears. - People shoot the wolf first to injury and have dog finish it off and act like the dog beat the wolf in a fair fight.

The only dog that even comes close to that is the Tibetan Mastiff with an average head span of about 21" (which is still under 2' wide). For 2nd place, I'd say the Prairie Buffalo Mastiff would be a formidable opponent with a head that's an average of 18" wide. But, there was a giant hybrid wolfdog named Zorro that was part Timber Wolf and part Mastiff that could probably face a Timber Wolf or two due to his ridiculous size. He stood taller than a 6' man when he was sitting down on his hind legs.

Wolves are far more intelligent than most dogs, they work in teams. Generally speaking, it takes a pack of guard dogs to effectively protect a herd. And yes dogs can kill wolves and get killed by wolves with equal probability. People are breeding dogs for centuries to protect against wolves and wolves are evolving for centuries to steal a sheep while there is a dog pack on guard. Casualties happen on both sides.

None on the list, can match up to a North American Black Wolf, best pet I ever had, I personally saw it take out a pit with one bite, and a wild bob cat in 20 seconds. People have a misunderstanding about wolves, I did alot of research when I got mine, he was 6 weeks old. Had him 17 years, and he had a heart of gold, but don't walk through the door unless I opened it, 170lbs will greet you at full force. But everyone knows, how an animal turns out, is mostly how they are raised, yes they have their own traits, but a good owner sees them and works with those traits.

We have lot of big strong hunting dogs getting killed by wolfs during hunts where I live. Some of the hunters want to extermintate all the wolfs because of that. Big strong dogs with litte chance against wolfs. A wolf runs/hunts on average 25 miles/40km each day and is extremly fit and strong. Few dogs here in Scandinavia survive an encounter. Wolfs are so tough they can sleep outside in minus 40 degrees Celsius /Fahrenheit in an open field, even in a strong wind without being bothered.

Yea, people see and learn about what these big dog breeds can do. And it is impressive. But the size can work against them. Also like you brought up, a wolf's stamina is out of this world. Then there is the wild factor. Every domesticated dog has lost that edge. People who haven't seen wolves in the wild. Seen them hunt, watch them in their social structure. These claims feel a little hollow. Like Caucasian Shepard dog, the breeders claims I bet all lie on wolf's getting close to livestock. Them letting the dogs go and the wolves running away. That means nothing. I've spent a good portion of my life in wild places and I've never been more afraid than hearing wolves walking around the outside of my camp. I'd rather face a bear, tiger or any dog on this list. There is just a difference between wolf's and dogs.
