Great video and a real good wood shed. You are so lucky to have a wife to help you with what you two are building. Please be more careful of her because she is so willing. Her under that big log with no tag rope ( a rope around the top of the post then over the horizontal 2x10 tied to your post you are going to lift ) to catch the big log if it would fall and her under it could put her in a wheelchair or worse. You are the big guy so protect her. I like how you chose to use a cement pad and not dig the post hole and explain why because of the water... I will be following your builds so keep up the good work.

Lifting heavy things - using the right technique as you seem to do, will keep those lumbars and errectors strong enough so that if you ever do kink your back, you arent out of businesses for good like some others i see

Your going to contaminate your ground water with the oil bro all you need to do is seal them by burning them a foot up...and No that's not good for the Back I know being a builder and 5 spinal fusions and you had a tractor the whole time 😎 👍🤙...Good job I would definitely anchor it to the ground I've seen storm's do crazy things

Didn’t want to tear up my yard or get stuck and potentially back into my cabin it being a very tight spot. It’s just a bit of oil most of it soaking into the wood we pump the stuff out of the ground maybe I’m wrong but I don’t believe it’s a major hazard. It’s been a few years now unless there a tornado which will blow everything away this thing ain’t moving all the sides are open to let the wind through.

@@oms1972 The only problem log was the high horizontal log the others weren’t bad. I didn’t use my tractor right away because it was a very tight area that my wife spent a lot of time growing grass. I didn’t want to tear it up or hit my cabin. In the end I had to use it though. The other tools you mentioned would have took too much prep time for an impatient person such as myself. Many people have commented on me putting my wife and myself endanger of injury. I would never do anything I thought my wife couldn’t handle and I know my limits. We have done many projects like this in the past eight or so years without injury.

@@backinthewoods2022 I just finished building a 400 square foot treehouse 20 feet off the ground in Vermont. The main support beams that I built out of 24 foot PT 2x12's weighed approx 1,000 lbs each so I didn't have a choice but to use a block and tackle to lift them up 20 ft off the ground. And I'm almost 70 years old and weigh 150 lbs soaking wet so I'm not nearly as strong as you are. I'm planning to build a log Lean-to on our property this year, I'll give you a call when I'm ready to go. Again, nice job on your project, looks great!
