Incredible shot, that was hands down the furthest accurate arrow placement any archer will ever potentially see on an animal.

You don’t know that he didn’t have to finish it off when they got closer and they didn’t put that in the video. I don’t care how good you think you are you don’t fling an arrow at 140 yards with the wind blowing like it was. He simply lucked up and they caught it on video.

@@elswapoexactly. I say he had to finish it off and they didn’t film that so they could make it look better. I’m sorry but I don’t know many hunters if any that would take 140 yard shot on an animal. There are way too many variables to shoot that distance on an animal. He lucked up and they happen to catch it on camera.

Thats exactly what I was going to say dead in the thigh. Which is what it is I mean its 140 yards but surely he just so happen to hit a main artery in the thigh if it died. Probably just had to shoot it again as they got closer or with a gun. Which if that's what he sees as cool more power to him. Seems like you're taking too much of a gamble at that distance for something to go wrong. Target shooting? Yea that's fun and games, but I would say being ethical has to come in at some part.

It’s worth the hunt. You put in the practice and have the shot then the good thing about that range is the animals don’t react to the sound of the bow so they won’t duck. They might move because they move but even still, 2 arrows is still better than being eaten alive as an old man ostrich. And I don’t care who your are, having a trophy of a stalked ostrich at 140yards is a hunt no one will ever replicate. I’d be a proud man after that one.

A friend of mine had a bunch of them. At night they would blow their necks up to the size of a telephone pole with air and then they would release the air it sounded like some sort of deep toned ghost noise. A little creepy.

@@kavak1344 oh please. White-knighting isn’t going to get you a date a date with Josh. You know you’ve never shot an animal over 100 yards. Misjudging by even one yard at that distance equals several inches of height difference. Not to mention the time to target and loss of velocity at that range

@@kavak1344Shooting a bow accuratly isn‘t that hard. Bowhunting is all about getting close. Shooting at that distance is unethical. An arrow takes over 1 second to travel that distance. In 1 second the animal can move or turn and you have a bad shot. Doesn‘t mather how good of a shot you are. So taking that risk is unethical.
