Fo real I hit 136 with 4 10s around '99 that was a huge accomplishment

My boy has 2 15”s with 8k watts and does a 151.7 @31hz. I have 4 8”s on 4500 watts in MBEs enclosure and best to date of 148.6 @32hz. To say how impressed he is and everyone who’s ever heard it believe it they’re impressed. Also understand 140db and above is not comfortable for extended periods of time. MB keep doing you brother and god bless.

I tell people all the time that truck is impressive.. yes I have a loud 18 setup.. so the bass didn't exactly shock me bc I'm used to that kinda pressure.. but I tell you what when I thought about the fact you was doing that on 2 8s .. and more so the fact he had a 2 cu box at the time really made me think.. like dang am I really that loud ?? Pound for pound.. cu for cu..

After a 15 plus years of not touching a speaker I just got back into it and am trying to educate myself, great local guy doing my install and tuning so I don't screw it up and these videos get me excited about possibilities! Keep doing your stuff man!

Me too, same set up.

I'm looking at grabbing 2 Image Dynamic 8's and that should be perfect for my f150 crew cab.

Just for reference I had a Soundqubed HDX3 18 on a Crossfire 3k with proper electrical in a below the glass box in an extended cab and it would burp a 149 but could only do 143-146 on music. 3.5cft box. 140s keeping factory interior in any vehicle is impressive

Unless the person has went from a bigger system to smaller like two 8 inch subs and way less power. 140 on two 8s is pretty good. Not sure what im going to get out of my 2508s but i really dont care as ill probably never meter it and went with an SQ box over spl. I got a 2500 megacab and have been checking out your vids for a few years.....Great job man!

Facts. Only the real ones understand what it takes to produce the deep lows.... especially with 8"s which typically have a very high fs compared to larger subs. One thing I see with your boxes is a lot of time the peak will even be below the tuning. That's impressive to me because typically the peak will be slightly above tuning. People like us trying dig down low in them 30s even mid 20s

I get more impressed with 2 loud 8's than 4 loud 15's. Because of course 4 15's or 4 18's are going to be loud. But if u can get 2 8's or 2 6.5's or even 2 10's to get hella loud. That's impressive 💯

When you focus on learning how to get a small sub to play low, you learn what the whole set up needs. In my opinion, its better to have a powerful low end 20hz on up and to minimize standing waves. I like 10hz but thats me.

anyone doing something at a high level never comments on someone beneath them because they have empathy knowing they where at that point somewhere along the line, most negative comments are from people that get all their comparisons from videos and have 0 emotional attachment to anything they wanna put you down because they never got to even experience something themselves so they use someones else experience or doing to best yours

140 is pretty crazy. I Just did 140 with a single dd 9510L but the bass is just not the same as a 2508g .

You definitely proving and showing your skills. I remember when I was hitting 150.6 on music, but that was with two 12" Kickers. To do what you do with eights is amazing!! The haters most likely don't know what clean, deep bass sounds like 💯

So i have a question. How do you determine the wattage on a set of subwoofers? Because if u have a speaker that can only push a certain wattage then how do you make it louder? I would like a loud system at least 10,000 watt system. I know nothing about car audio and would like advice.

Get a amplifier that can play RMS rating with the subwoofers RMS rating, but to even go louder make sure u got a ported box & play a lil more then RMS to the subs. lets say u got 2 12, RMS for both together is 1000watts, get a 1200 rms amplifier or to really make the subs moving, get a 1500 rms amp, im assuming u kno about the electrical, battery, big 3, alternator)

You have factors you need to consider. Your vehicle type, enclosure type, the type of speakers you want to run, subs, woofers, mids, components, tweeters, and in what combination. If you want 10K watts, it won't all be 10K watts on subs, otherwise you will never hear anything but bass. Your enclosure type and making sure you have enough cubes of air for your speakers to operate properly. Then you have to power that, so amp types, cables for power, additional power supplies i.e. batteries, capacitors, etc. Upgrading your alternator, possibly needing to run more than one alternator...you have a lot of factors to consider, and more power means more money. I think you need to first define what you call "loud" and quantify it. I think 140dB is loud as hell. That may or may not be loud to you. It's definitely louder than what I'm running. Then, figure out how to get there in a way that is the most efficient for your priorities.

The evidence is clear. It’s physics. The brand is important, but MB has hit that number with clean electrical and THE BOX.

Anything over 140db is going to start tearing up the vehicle. 140 IS loud !!

Ehhh, 140 to me is, but isn't loud at the same time I did 141.7 with a single Gen1 SL712 off an amp capable of 450wrms. But mostly, the friends I have give me meaning to loud. You might've hard of them, Team SoundCheck RP and Hank. Lol World record holders for SPL. I do have an understanding of what it truly takes to get that and have a lot of respect for those that do this.

I've just been storms SPL for so long and hung out with a group that now happen to hold the world record for SPL that, I have an understanding of what it takes. 140+ on two 8's is very impressive, esp when it's in the 30's Hz. Please don't misconstrued what I'm saying.

140 is loud no bull, especially at higher frequency like 40 hz

People who chase numbers don’t care about actually listening to music. In my opinion there is a such thing as too loud to the point where it hurts your ears. MBE enclosures ain’t no joke, my car is very loud with just a single 10 thanks to MBE.

Yeah definitely. There is definitely a point where you can either listen to bass or crank your mid/highs up enough that it definitely is doing damage

140 is uncomfortably loud and is impressive for two 8's. Watching other channels dude's only doing low to mid 130's with two 12's.
