14 Finish the Rig Build File | The Baked Potato Rigging Course

Фильм және анимация

Just a few more things to do before saving the rig to the library! I feel one of THE MOST IMPORTANT things you can do is leave for whoever will use your rig. Often in a studio, the rigging artists are so busy that they do not get a chance to explain new rigging techniques or things that will make animating easier. Because of that, the animators often don't know everything the rig is capable of. Take time to leave notes!
Parts of this video you may find unique or interesting:
00:20-Saving the build file of the rig. This is the file you would reopen to adjust any posed sequences or Master Controllers.
00:52-How to rename an elements folder using the Elements Manager.
03:00-Add a shadow below the character.
04:45-Adding a Blur node.
05:38-The purpose and difference between the Scene peg and the Master peg.
07:08-Adding a Blending Multiply Node.
11:59-Leaving notes about special rig abilities or building setups. This can be extremely helpful to whoever uses your rig.
13:38-How I would normally add a back piece for clothing cuffs.
16:41-Note about layered hands.
18:09-Notes about the cheek blush staying away from the profile mouth edge.
19:06-Notes about available cheek swaps.
22:27-Notes about Master Controllers.

Thanks Chad. Yes, it took me a little while to index them like that. I'll have to go back through some of the earlier ones to add those into the Comments section.
