You should wait for the glow plugs every time if the engine is cold regardless of the temperature.

I absolutely love it when it's that cold outside. The air is so clean, so crisp, so pollution free. The snow is super white like little diamonds everywhere. Water, when you see rivers flowing, is crystal clear. I hate hot, humid, thick stale summer air along with green algae filled river and ponds. You're aerial shots are beautiful.

Laughing out loud and just started the video. You guys are great. Came to the comments to see what the sign says.

Absolutely mega....After living in the Bavarian Forest for 10 years and travelling through Bavaria, Austria & Italy this is a real trip down memory lane. Really enjoying watching you two discovering the beautiful mountains and snow of Austria👍

I’ve got those collapsible stalls, they are brilliant. You could have sat next to Wallis on the end of the table, cosy but way more room and less claustrophobic. Maybe make a fold out extension to the table to make it longer like they seem to do in motorbikes these days ? Great vid, Austria looks awesome.

I've got a jar full of condiments that accidently fell into my bag on the ferry, very handy throughout our travels.

-20 C is even nicer. Your nose starts slightly freezing up, especialy the hair :)) It feels nice having some dancing at that temperature and also ingesting alcool.

I was in Poland years back, it was -28 I would have to brush the snow off on the outside of the windscreen and then scrape the ice off on the side as the condensation from the passengers would cause it to ice up.

Hey Will, have you thought about a 'Ridgemonkey' for cooking? Carol and Ken of 'Life is too short' vlog use one of these all the time. It does everything, toasting, frying etc and seems to contain all the grease. Great video and though the scenery is a little better than Tescos car park or IKEA, I liked it when you did those too, so don't give the local trips up. Cheers mate and take care, Phill

As a suggestion for reconfiguring your table, and seating... You mentioned in an earlier video that you were going to reconfigure your worktop/sink/cooker. So, would it then be possible to add a fold down worktop on the end of the proposed new worktop(at the place you were sitting to eat), giving more work space for food prep. As for a table. I'm thinking, if it's possible, have a slide out table(or even another fold down) coming from the middle of your 'kitchen units', meaning one of you is sitting with their back to bed, the other sitting with their back to cab.

You should always let the glow plug light to go out regardless of temps. Never turn the engine on the key with any diesel

Hi Will, if you have an iPhone the camera has a translate option. Just point the camera at what you want translated and yellow parentheses will go around it. A small box will appear on the screen. Click on that and a menu selection will come up. Scroll across to translate and select. I hope this helps.

With google lens you can translate everything live via your phonecamera if you needed to. If you got no reception just take a pic and translate it later. And don't walk frozen lakes anymore! Awesome vid!!!!!

@@WillsWhereabouts but it's awesome!!! That's part of the experience of Van life that you look forward to! You're channel has inspired me to make myself a van over the next year so when I get to somewhere really hot in the USA I'm sure I'll have a similar reaction lol

William see if you can raise the kitchen worktop and slide the table under the worktop if you haven't already reduced the width of the worktop from its original 600 size then that might be a solution. 🤔👌

Will, that is not OCD...your van is your home and really, do you want to live in a dirty home? Keeping it clean would be a priority to me as well. The area you are in is stunning! A little tip from someone who lives in Canada with wintery weather, you both should wear sunglasses when walking about, especially when it was as sunny as it looked. The reflection from the snow is really bad for the eyes. Stay safe and healthy to you both!

Frozen oil eaay fix is just a mug filled with a little hot water and put that small bottle in it for a couple of minutes. Done.

That scenic carpark would an example of ones in half of Alberta and almost all of BC, Canada.

Omg I was crying from laughing so hard at Will testing the ice. He is a bloody genius.

You want to try camping in -27 in Nordcapp open a beer and instantly frozen! Insane!

Will you need to get a rhino frying pan they even do a toaster that you sit on the gas ring but loving your adventures with Wallis and the scenery is breathtaking

-14 isn't cold top tip for cold starting the van turn on ignition till glow plug light goes of turn of ignition and do it again then start the engine hopefully you bought your diesel in Austria because it freezes at a much lower temp than in England love Austria in winter just as nice in summer goes from white to lush green
