The power couple! Almost nothing keeps you guys down. But DO take care of yourselves and don’t rush. As we grow older, we don’t recover as quickly. So, for a while, I think it would be wise to go slow and steady. I loved seeing your brussel sprouts and the progress in your garden, and your house. Cheers from a snowy Ottawa Canada. Yes! We are more wiser now we are getting older and yes we will pace ourselves thank you for your concern. They taste delicious. And l made a leek potato and cream soup today it was so tasty and the leeks and potatoes were from the potager as we had friends over today. you were lucky to have such a mild December its still cold here -7 but it is all freezing over 🥰xx

Great to see you both in the garden in the sunshine! Even if it is bloody cold! Can't wait to come check it all out tomorrow❤

I really enjoy watching the carpentry that Brudo does also the joinery. I can cut a 2x4 with a skill saw but that is about it.

Oh sorry to hear you were both ill over the holidays.. glad you are on the road to recovery, I always use a couple off drops of tea tree oil on the soles of my feet before bed if i feel the onset of a cold or respiritory infection coming on, doesn´t cure it always but sure it is less severe. hope you are both back to full strength soon. Can see that despite being ill you have been very busy, the vegtable garden is nicely tidied and ready to go with new crops once you have planned out the new beds , love the electric cupboard door, a little teaser of whats to come in the lounge and I am sure the kitchen extension will fly along once the roof is tiled and the window and door are on.. I enjoyed this episode. I was quite ill a while back (unusual) and got a thermal mug, added some elderberries, boiling water, and would sip it during the day. It cleared the conjestion very well. I was able to use the same berries for about 3 mugfulls of water.

Nice to check in with our friends the potager, the compost heap, the willow hedge and the bees. Your tweaks to the garden bed, interesting, keep us posted. Did I hear you say, Budo, you were putting the new green and brown mixture on top of the newly aerated black gold? I am sometimes more excited about your soil amendment activities than your much more artistic jobs.

I had a lung problem years ago and have been doing the honey ginger and lemon since to keep them clear... My neighbours now do it also.. Also grapefruit will clear your lungs.. you will also find it in tonic water... My neighbour also has me taking a tea from a weed.. marshmallow?? I get it at the naturopath store.. Hope that helps..

Sorry to hear this Kathy but it is good you had a homemade remedy and thank you l will jot this down and definitely look into trying it 🥰we were drinking lemon honey tea, taking lemsips and using menthol crystals in a bowl of hot water and you put a towel over your head and inhale this really helps as well. Happy new year to you 🥰xx

Glad you’re back and on the mend. I’ve been under the weather with a cold for a couple of weeks. I find Zicam which we have in the USA really knocks it out pretty quickly. It contains Zinc and I had several people recommend it so I decided to try it at the first sign of a cold or flu. This was about 4 years ago and lo and behold it actually works. I like the Cherry Flavored lozenges. Don’t know if you’ve got it in France but I think you’d be surprised if you can get it at how great it works. Sorry, didn’t mean to go off on that tangent.
