1300Hp BMW M3 E30 || 2JZ-GTE Swapped Monster On The Limit !!! - Osnabruck 2018

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is Vidar Jodahl´s Monster, a 2JZ-GTE swapped BMW M3 E30 and it was without doubt the Star Of The Show at Osnabruck Hillclimb last weekend. Not because it won overall mind you, but because it simply pounded the tarmac into submission with its outrageous power and torque, at a grand total of 1306Hp/1578Nm !!!!!
Coming from Norway, this car is normally used on the popular Gatebil Festival where for years it has been raced and drifted in a very serious fashion. Turns out that 2018 marked a new chapter on this Monster´s life, as it started now experimenting with Hillclimb Racing events. And we couldn´t be happier. Seeing this brutal machine tackling the narrow Osnabruck Hillclimb as hard as Mr. Jodahl did is something that will bring a smile to every petrolhead we know.

    I've ridden in this! My girlfriend bought me a couple of rounds as a passenger at Gatebil - Vålerbanen last summer. Belive me it's completely insane 😄 The most impressive part was on the long straights, it just blasted by cars with 6-700hp like they stood still. A memory for a lifetime....and yes I'm marrying my girlfriend this summer. She's definitely a keeper 😊

    Yeah I paid for a ride in an single turbo M60 swapped Miata once. That was about 700hp and that felt insane. Too much power in that light of a car honestly. Can't even imagine what this must feel like.

    well but can clearly see that it struggles hard to put its power down (it´s more of a drift car than a time attack car). I doubt it would be any slower if it would only have half the power... His pedal control is amazing though, considering this highly boosted engine must have a rather bad very unlinear power delivery. The way he uses the handbrake is astonishing too.

    Vince Bautista it’s going pretty well man. The only issue is the budget, and wanting to do everything right the first time. I need to sort out the slip yolk. Then make some lines for the rear, and then the car will be “drivable.” But more little things to sort out.

    Vince Bautista I need to get a slip yoke for a CD009(the 370Z 6 speed) so that I can measure the distance from the transmission to the diff. The headliner needs to be done. The switch and sliding rails for the sunroof needs to be replaced. Run new wires for all the lights. I need to fabricate a cooling line underneath the turbo from the rear of the water pump. And the largest issue, sorting out the new seats. Then building a roll cage for car. Then the cosmetics stuff.

    Well,this is one crazy build.And driver handles it amazingly well given the power output.But speaking of BMW's on hillclimb,even this can't compare with Plasa's e36 and 134 Judd and Edlinger's E30 IRL.Those cars are simply far more insane given how fast they propelled on mountain roads back in the day.And they sound waaaay better as well.2JZ is interesting swap,but it would be also amazing to see BMW's straight inline six tuned to a level on which 2JZ is in this BMW.

    Why would any serious competitor want to drive that! There’s no traction at all and it’s a bloody handful. Impressive power output yes but not for that chassis. As for someone below saying it was impressive lifting a wheel with that power, take a look at classic footage of Bertie Fishers M3 E30 on any tarmac rally (and other people) with less than a quarter of that power, now that’s a well handling car and a much sexier sound!
