@JK golden I've always found it interesting that people make the assumption that childhood is fun or easier than being an adult. Many kids, through no fault of their own, have crappy childhoods and very little control over their lives. By the time they become of age, they are screwed up because of the years of trauma they had to endure.

Absolutely amazing, but I have the same concerns. Med School and Grad School are wildly different from any other form of education. I am 100% confident that she will pass the pre clinical coursework with flying colors, but I am concerned about how she will do in the clinical environment at that age. I don't know if any 15 year old would be capable of telling someone they are dying or parents that would be comfortable with someone their child's age treating their child or how you could understand the conditions that would drive someone to addiction with no life experience. I really wish her the best, but it might be better if she does an MD PhD route and focus on research for 4 - 6 years between her pre clinical and clinical training.

Too many bitter Betties up in this b. What makes you think she won't be able to do it? Have you been the one walking this life for her? She clearly has a strong support system and I'm sure she and her mother and her career advisor must have gone through some of what she can expect going into the medical field. It's like like she is the first to have entered med school at such a young age. So what's your problem with her doing it? So, what do you suggest? That she remain in a class that is age appropriate and be bored out of her mind and just be wasting away? Y'all can't even help yourselves.

@@amandar614 Exactly. And too many of us are ignorant about the dividends of early childhood stimulation to improving quality of life in our communities. There's a window of opportunity many others understand that gives other kids a leg up on us. Instead too many of us have to overcome the effects of poor nutrition, neglect, psychological abuse and programming to be less. I'll never forget the mentality of the aunts of 10 year old's already in the criminal system because they dropped a 5 year old off the top of a building for not stealing candy for them. While being interviewed these women said "they're just babies, they didn't know what they were doing!" A genius born in that environment will either be totally discouraged and disengage or become a slick criminal.

It's quite likely she entered and graduated high school at an early age, so yes, essentially skipping several grades. Depending on the school system, local education laws, and possibly the school itself, she may have been homeschooled by private tutors, or part of a specialized program/organization for exceptionally talented youth. Her advanced educational intelligence was likely recognized when she was a small child, possibly before elementary school, and then confirmed through rigorous testing to determine her relative grade level performance. She may also be on accelerated programs which cover multiple grades in shorter amounts of time.

You can do anything regardless of your age. Don't let people EVER tell you no. Great advice!!! Bravo young lady and congratulations!!! You are blessed, and you will do amazing things in the future. Great job Mom and Dad, you raised her well! Best wishes in college and medical school! You will go far. And take some time every now and then to slow down and have some fun in life too.

Im proud of you girl, keep up the good work and listen parents her mother supported and nurtered her interest and gift, take notes. Many parents today discourage kids before they encourage them and that is a nail in the coffin for a child self esteem
