I'm a huge supporter of Courtney. And it's great to read a comment like your's, when their have been a number of haters from the time she performed this audition in 2018 who keep seeking her out to put her down because of how different she is from most of today's singers. And you nailed it saying she's a sweetheart. She's always so humble, sweet and funny if anyone takes time to follow her on her social media accounts. Even when she got the hate (even from adults) back on that show, she quickly learned how to ignore them. But her fans will most definitely defend her when those hate comments pop back up again. She deserves better from those who have tried insulting her. Any parent would be very proud of her.

The surprise that happens when she belts out this song from such a young girl, just makes this video unforgettable.

I saw this show!! This young girl Channels Janis through her Inner Soul!!! Absolutely Amazing!! A Show Stopper!!

Courtney bringing it from the soul. I love her humility. Also reminds me of a young Tina Turner, who Janis admired greatly.

She's an incredibly talented young girl. In subsequent rounds of AGT she went on to sing "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" by James Brown, "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf, "River Deep, Mountain High" by Tina Turner and, to satisfy those who say she's the reincarnation of Janis Joplin, she sings "Piece of My Heart" in the final. However, just when you've convinced yourselves she a talented soul/rock artist who takes over the stage like the best rock lead singers, she sits down on a stool with a microphone and wrings all the emotion out of a ballad with a performance worthy of Adele. You should react to more of her performances (a much better description of her than "song"). I suggest the James Brown cover and the ballad "Somebody you loved" to see her incredible versatility and then watch her turn the quirky "Old Town Road" into a raunchy Rn'B number. Currently shut down by the covid epidemic and having to finish school but we're going to see a lot more of this astonishing talent.

If one watches her in vids since she was really young she has paid her dues. She put herself out there in many venues to improve her craft. Kudos to her.

Totally agree shes got taller very elegant and can still sing like janice and others.. She's from the same place in Britain as the Eric Burdon and the Animals ...also the band Lindisfarne. Old town road if you want to see her do her stuff now but she can sing soft as well bust the doors off their hinges.😎🤣😂 Or be Courtnyrized... as some say. There are 3 of these 16…18yo teenage wonder girls. Diana Ankudinova, Angelina Jordan and Courtney Hadwin all very different but all phenomenally talented singers.

Here's the link for those. kzread.infofeatured She recorded these right after her stint on AGT in the winter of 2019, and then released them one at a time throughout the spring and summer to show those who thought she was just a rock chick because of how she perform on AGT. I do hope Brad and Lex continue on with Courtney. People will be shocked by all she can do. Edit: For Carlos, I should have said probably was working on these recording in the winter of 2019, but actually recorded them in the spring of 2019 and then released them during the summer months one by one.

She's got a couple of singles now. Unbreakable and that girl don't live here anymore. You should totally check it out

Many try to put Courtney in a box and compare her to Janis Joplin or Mick Jagger and James Brown because of her dance moves or her passion and energy on stage like Janis had. But Courtney herself said, she'd rather not be compared to all her idols. She has many of them from back in the 60's and 70's along with many from today. Some of them were singers like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Tina Turner, James Brown along with Janis Joplin, Mick Jagger, oh yeah, can't forget Little Richard one of her favorites, and many others I can't name at the moment. Also singers like Pink, Adele, Florence and The Machines or Lady Gaga from today. And those who follow Courtney know that her vocals and her stage presence is truly only unique to herself. If you listen to her sing from another room, you instantly know it's Courtney Hadwin singing. NO ONE really sounds like Courtney. Same with her performances on stage. Turn off the sound and just watch her perform and NO ONE moves like her on stage. She's unique and she'll be remembered because she is her unequivocal unique self. We just don't see anyone today perform like Courtney. Even stars from the past that I can remember were anyone like her. One day other new upcoming artists will be compared to Courtney Hadwin. Just wait and see.

It is the whole genre she loves. This is Otis Redding. She also loves Tina Turner and James Brown and have covered a lot of their music. You should hear her "Me and Bobby McGee" by JJ. It is tremendous. She has done four performances on AGT, covers of contemporary songs, and five videos of her own music. Any of these would be worth your while to investigate if you like her. She has a massive following who feel she is a prodigy.

There aren't any more like Courtney, Maulman; she's had well over 500,000 total views on that one audition. She is likely to be the biggest superstar that's been on AGT. Only the pandemic has slowed her album release.

Same here. I think Courtney got many of us old rockers watching reaction videos to her back when this went viral overnight. She was the best thing I've seen in 20 years or more then and she's even better today. Looking forward to when she finally gets out performing again and her new songs.

Hi Brad/Lex. Really great reaction and so glad to have you on the Courtney Express. Courtney is amazing in so many ways. Unmatched vocals, pure stage dominance, off the charts creativity, dynamite guitarist and powerhouse song writer. What you may not know is the level of vocal versatility that Courtney has. Since you've only seen her AGT audition (which went viral and now has over 500M views, Courtney has in total has over 2 Billion views), you have yet to see her perform anything outside of the Rock genre. Fact is that Courtney can sing just about anything and do it better than anyone else whether it be R&B, Funk, Soul or Ballads. You're jaw will drop when you hear what an absolutely beautiful ballad voice Courtney has. Thanks for recommending Courtney to Brad and Lex. I was waiting for them to get to her. Honestly didn't think they would react to any young kid from these talent shows. But I'm real happy they got to Courtney. They love old school rock artists and she certainly fits the bill.

To be fair it's an Otis Reading song written along with Al Bell and Allen Jones, and recorded by him in 1967 and released in 68'. But everyone from the 90's on know it as a Black Crowes song.

That video is from her preteen/early teenage. She did a podcast show with Howie Mandel at age 17/18 and she is still just as shy. Her first album is supposed to be coming out in 2022 sometime.

One of her all time favorites she said is Little Richard who she named her latest puppy after. She really enjoys older music like RnR and RnB artists
