First of all Billy, it's OK to get emotional.. I can't watch him without crying..My grandson is autistic, he he was bullied in school thank God my son found a school that only let's autistic children in and the classes are separated 10 per teacher and her aide. I so wish we could all see the world through their eyes💜

I have a 6.5yr old autistic son. He was nonverbal from 13mo up until 5.5 yrs. He has had intense therapy 40hrs a week for about 3 years now. He is just now saying whole sentences. This is so very inspirational. My son is not musically talented, but he is artistic. He loves to paint and draw. He expresses emotions through facial expressions of the stick figures he draws ❤ Thank you for reacting to this... I'm sorry I'm late to watch it. 😅

I am a 57 year old mom, your reaction made me cry as much as I was crying watching Kodi sing. Enter, your humor, I didn't know I could cry tears of heart and tears of laughter at the same time. Beautiful and incredible of you to cry in front of a camera, keep that as a part of you always, because that's a real man.

You need to watch him sing, " Bridge over Troubled waters" Paul Simon almost never allows people to sing this song because it is so dear to him, but once he saw Kodi perform he immediately gave him permission to ding it for AGT. Also, you said that you don't watch the show so I was not sure if you understood that the significance of the Golden Buzzer is that He no longer has to compete in the elimination rounds during the try-outs he is for sure going to be in the final competition.

I’m not blind but I’m autistic as well so this makes me feel so good and happy and makes me cry also the lyrics to the Song are very relatable good for you kodi you rock! This word can be so judgmental specially when it comes to people’s disabilities which really puts him down and gets me emotional and upset but when I see other people with disabilities do well and do things like this it makes me feel great and feel better and feel happy for them

  • @LiLiJo

One thing I really appreciate about his mom is that she lets Kodi answer questions in his own time. I have brain box issues and people impatient for an answer want to force it when in your brain it just takes longer to make the connection from brain to mouth. Interruptions trying to hurry it along and answer the question for you just shatters the whole thought process you were working on and you have to pick up the pieces and find where your at in a conversation. His mom is awesome because she just waits and lets him process even when others are waiting for a response. ❤ if you know someone with brain issues remember to give them time and don’t correct them just because they use the wrong word or relate it to someone else. My grandmother had dementia and I would just listen and she told me more than my aunt could believe. I looked at grandma and said it is hard to get it from here, pointing to my head, out of here, pointing to my mouth. She looked at me, nodding her head like “you get it”. It brought me such joy knowing my problems gave me an understanding of how it must feel to live in her head. If you know someone who has brain problems be patient.

I think my heart was more emotional towards his mom. I have been a full time caregiver for a close family member, the only thing I ever wanted to do was make her life happy with the moon and stars. 4:09 Thats the part that grabbed a hold on me. Momma Lee going down beside her son,and giving him that peptalk she knew he needed. Kodi lit up like a christmas tree when he heard soo many cameras were ALL on him,to watch him play. I believe that was that last little thing he needed to make history......and he did! I have had my struggles since i were a kid,but nothing related to Kodi. However,i have been in different wards, hospitals,"recovery homes" surrounded by people with all kinds of conditions, illnesses etc. It became so overwhelming down in my teens,i developed things from it. Today.....i cant really be mad about it anymore,i have learned soo much by having friends who arent like every other friend i grew up around. And i have seen moms and dads being drained of energy from caring about theyr kids, who needed far more attention, understanding, patience (above all!),love and affection then they felt they were capable of giving. But they managed to battle through,by having help. So i could read Tinas (moms) tears at the end. You know there lays alot of pride there, but she also cried both for herself as well as on Kodis behalf. I know it has been difficult for her along the way. Especially since she hinted that Kodi probably wouldve ended up suicidal if he hadnt discovered music and singing, and that his parents embraced it right away, made it possible for him to perform etc. Anyone NOT getting very emotional over this,NOW thats the ones i worry about! ;)
