13 Minute | Focus/Refocus Daily Meditation | Andrew Huberman | 40Hz Binaural Beats | Keystone Habit

Музыка

Wonder why you can't sit down and study or work for more than a few minutes without checking your phone? If you allow yourself to be constantly distracted through cheap dopamine triggers, you're essentially training your brain to be permanently this way. Do it long enough, and the consequences are disastrous for your productivity.
In a word of digital distractions, FOCUS IS A SUPERPOWER.
And meditation is a keystone habit that improves all other aspects of your life - making better decisions in diet, exercise etc. etc.
This is the beginner daily meditation as recommended by Professor Andrew Huberman. Note: This version is without white noise for a pure 40Hz binaural beats experience.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Directions
Do this beginner 13 minute meditation daily to gain mindfulness, heal your focus & attention and regain your powers of concentration once more. if possible, first thing in the morning.
Or right before you start a session of deep work or study.
Just focus on your breath. That's it. Relax. With minimal effort, relax and empty your mind of compulsive thought. Thought is not useful here.
Remember: It's okay for your mind to wander. Every time you notice it, refocus your awareness to your breath in the present moment. The more you do it, the stronger your mind becomes (like reps in the gym).
Keep your eyes closed. The chimes indicate the passage of the meditation, no need to check your watch or phone for the time.
40Hz Binaural Beats and the soothing sounds of water flowing down a stream will work to stimulate your neurochemicals at the same time.
Remember to wear dual earbuds/headphones.

This channel exists to help improve your quality of life, and we made this simple meditation so everyone can come back to it daily. Do let us know in the comments: 1) If you have been practicing this meditation for 30 days or more, how has it helped you? 2) If you had trouble sticking with it, tell us why. 2) Any other videos you would like us to make? Do suggest a duration, style etc. etc. Thank you and wishing everyone a wonderful 2023.

7:13am. Just did this meditation for the second time, I get surprised at how quick the time goes by. Both times, when the three bells chime at the end, I’m thinking what, already!! I have been meditating over the years on and off, I love Deepak Chopra but now this is my new method, I love it and Thank you Andrew for your generosity in simply putting this here for us to use as an audio! You’re the man!

First time, yesterday, I couldn’t get to 7minutes. I was sobbing. Today I tried to reach 7… the video was over before I know it. But my mind couldn’t stop with the thoughts and my heart rate was elevated. Will see how this helps after a month. Will try to remember to update!

Don’t be so hard on yourself, try other methods maybe. My absolute favourite is the 21 days of abundance meditations from Deepak Chopra, they are gentle, guided and have a shorter time of ‘silent meditation’ so maybe you could give that a try first.

Sometimes it's best to ease into these things, you might want to start with 5 mins and do that consistently and work your way up or you might want to look into some somatic exercises.

Stay at it. And every time u have a negative thought, replace it immediately with a positive thought. After time, your brain will rewire.

Thanks for sharing this comment, and happy to know it helps. It's probably normal if this is your first time using binaural beats. Do let us know if it persists and I suggest setting the volume a little lower if it's uncomfortable.

Here are some factors that helped me: - use wired earbuds/headphones - put your phone on airplane mode - try to do it as early as possible upon waking - practice good posture (don't slouch) - keep a journal or take some short daily notes (track sleep, diet, wellbeing, meditation practice, digital use or any other areas of concern) I also enjoy outdoor meditation (both seated and walking) but seldom use binaural beats in public for safety reasons. The journal will really help you see your progress over time. I keep it simple by just using an Excel sheet. Hope this helps!

Thank you indeed! I’ve taken your advice - also about 2years or so back when I didn’t binaural beats, I started getting these weird illicid dreams and pounding headaches at night, and then very back sleep paralysis kicked in which was when I decided to I stop. But after reading this, I’m trying to give it another shot now since I know for sure that something was definitely changing but couldn’t tell whether it was for the better or worse. My brain fought back
