    1. Don't get straight to 4:00 am- but just an hour earlier over a week or two 2. Alternate hot and cold shower 3. Stretch or Yoga before bed 4. Turn off main light 1 hr before bed ( no phone or comp) 5. Keep smart phone away from bed (don't hit snooze so easy) 6. Take measures against the cold 7. Wear earplugs 8. Get enough sleep- get to bed at right time for your needs (hours) 9. Do something that makes you happy in the morning 10. Create your morning routine 11. Record your routine 12. Put away your foton or make your bed. 13. Declare publicly (social) that you wake up at 4:00am My extras: read The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and the 5:00am Club by Robin Sharma

The Best Way to Live You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer. (Job 14:5) There is a lot in life to trouble us these days. We can live in fear and paranoia, worrying about what might happen. Or, as Christians, we can commit our ways to the Lord. The apostle Paul wrote, “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better” (Philippians 1:21). What a great thing that is to know. However, it doesn’t mean that we should be foolish and test God unnecessarily. There’s a difference between trusting God and testing Him. The Book of Ecclesiastes tells us there is “a time to be born and a time to die (3:2). We didn’t determine when we would be born, and we don’t really determine when we will die. We don’t know when that day will come because God appoints that day. The Bible says of God, “You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer” (Job 14:5) That is why we want to always heed the biblical admonition to “prepare to meet [our] God (Amos 4:12). We don’t know when the day is coming. Let’s imagine for a moment that today was your last day. Would you be ashamed of how you lived it? Or, would you say, “I think I’ve lived it well. I did what I should have done. I have no real embarrassment to speak of. It was a well-lived day”? That is how you should live every day. Don’t live in such a way that you would be embarrassed about it if Jesus Christ were to return or if you were called to stand before God. We need to be prepared because we all will stand before Him one day. So, let’s accept each day as a gift from God Almighty and live it to its fullest, totally committed to Him.

I, for years, had to get up early for work. My desire from that experience was to wake up when I wake up and not have to wake up at a specified time. Since I'm retired, I go to bed when I'm tired and I wake up when I'm no longer tired. Getting sufficient sleep is essential to optimum health.

If what you say is true, then I shall try to have your back stranger! If you find it difficult to find happiness in waking up early, then do you also find happiness in your current state? If you're not happy of the two, why not do the things which make you unhappy NOW but WILL BE? I have been there and fought and crawled my way up! You have those voices, am I correct? You see, those are mere voices. Voices can speak of both truth and lie and IF YOU TRULY have such illness, then the voices I spoke of tells you lies. If you don't act upon it, it becomes the lie you believe to be the truth and live by it. "If the voices are not to be trusted as truths, then what is?" Your actions. Prove your worth TO YOURSELF through your actions. Carry out those tasks of which makes you unhappy now, but will be. Living your life to its utmost extent. DO NOT FADE OUT accomplishing nothing nor a couple of things. TURN YOUR WHOLE LIFE INTO WORTH ENVYING OVER TO THOSE SIMILAR TO YOUR CURRENT SELF AND WILL BE YOUR FORMER SELF. Best wishes!

quick note of my own - when you tell people about something good your going to do, your brain gives you a reward, which lessens your motivation. Its best to say your doing something after you've done it for a while becausei t gives a reward for somethings you've already done. it kinda the basics of it so i hope it makes sense

I really l ike your videos Samurai Matcha, I am slowly trying to live more like you, I have a totaly different lifestyle because I am from big city in Brazil and I have many dogs and cats, but I am slowly decluthering my home, changed my bed for a futon, bought a little towel instead of big one, I have very few clothing and itens now, even tho I have an art hobby I got rid of the thing I dont use and am eveyday owning less, its very cleaning for the mind, thankyou for your help, you are helping me a lot to improve my life.

In terms of the physical getting up. Train yourself not to hit snooze at your current wake up time. Instead when the alarm goes off sit up at the side of the bed for a minute. Then get up and keep moving. I gradually increased my wake up time by a half hour when I knew my work shift was changing. Turning on a really bright light as soon as you sit up at the side of the bed, and one with a full spectrum bulb (mimics sunlight) will also help regulate your body to a new wake up time. But it does go hand in hand with practicing good night time sleep hygiene. Turn lights down a few hours before bed, don't read/watch stuff that's too exciting or stimulating, etc.

One thing I've been doing is staying on the floor right when I wake up. Instead of sitting on a soft cushier chair right off the bat after my mourning routine. I'll sit on the floor instead. Westerners aren't used to being on the floor all the time. I've been changing my habits when I started learning about some of the yogic traditions and noticed that most of the world actually sleeps on the floor and sits on the floor to eat. I've been doing lots of stretches as well. I look for places that are soar in my body and stretch those out first. If you start training your body in this way no matter what routine you do, if you don't allow yourself to get comfortable first and save comfort for the last possible moment, then your body is going to get use to the hard changes. Mostly because it will realize that your not giving it any choice. So, it relearns what comfort actually is. So, stating I'm comfortable with waking up at 4 am in the morning every morning eventually your body gravitates towards what you believe is comfortable even if its not right away. It sounds counter intuitive. But it seems that the counter intuitive ways are the ways the body works sometimes.

You can even break it down further by just waking up 30 minutes earlier each day for a week, then another 30’minutes earlier the next week until you reach the time you want to wake up. Much easier for your body to adjust if you take it slow and allow yourself to get comfortable with each change

You should link your first video somewhere on this video. In the cards or description maybe??

Back before cellphones, I'd place my alarm clock across the room so I wouldn't hit the snooze button. It worked.

I thought of another good idea, especially for Westerners: get dressed or putting on makeup and posting to social media. You do not want to get back in bed after because you don’t want to wrinkle your clothes or waste/ruin makeup after putting in the time after making sure your clothes and/or face look nice. Additionally, you’ve invested the time in looking nice, which create endorphins, giving you an energy boost, making you feel happy and boosting overall levels of positivity. 😊

One thing I do is that I set three alarms at one hour intervals. Basically the first one is to shake myself out of any deep sleep that I might have been in, the second to properly wake me up so to give me an hour just to laze and get myself ready fro the day and the third to finally get out of bed.

I find that happening with my alarms. The first is basically a prep. It sounds like birds chirping. The second, about a 1/2 hour later is my phone. The final one is the radio playing if I haven''t yet waken from a deep sleep.
