Nothing against BGM, he’s great but this truck had a concourse level restoration, at one point it was for sale for $250,000 dollars and the owner decided not to sell after being offered the asking price. I highly doubt a self trained photographer (that’s what Scott is, look it up) do anything to this engine to make it run better than the men who restored this truck. They painstakingly chromed the valve covers and blower inlets, every part was mic’ed, weighed and matched. This is THE nicest example of a 12v71 powered road tractor I, and many others have ever seen. (Yes, I’ve seen and heard it run in person at the cortland show in 2019).

Great Restoration..... Beautiful, but that poor "buzzin dozen" desperately is in need of the rack, injector height, governor and booster spring (on variable speed governor) to be correctly set, by someone who knows the correct Sequence, of adjustments and with (preferably) a Dial indicator... for the injector, and bridge settings.

Cobb Knobbler+ interesting name. Most good mechanics I know can handle both just fine. They taught themselves the new stuff as it came along. Yes we should laugh at mechanics who cant work on the old stuff if they didn't make the effort to learn and instead needed to be trained. Big difference. Real easy access to info these days if you haven't noticed. Stop waiting to "be trained" and teach yourself to work on old equipment if it offends you that much. Lots of it laying around pretty cheap
