What are some general maintenance recommendations to prevent mold growth? - I think Dr. Jill mentioned cleaning sink drains - I like to clean tubs/shower (including the drain) regularly and keep the caulk in good repair - Good drainage with basement windows - Ice maker disconnected - Check your dishwasher and washer filter regularly and clean as needed - Other areas of possible moisture infiltration to keep a close eye on? Thank you for your great videos!

How does one purchase new furniture? There could be contamination at any point of the process…raw materials, manufacturing, warehousing, storage, shipping containers, delivery truck. Also, if you test for mold dna…it doesn’t tell you the source…did you bring it in from work, school, church, stores, airport, library, open windows, pets? I definitely think we need an overhaul of building and maintenance practices…not only to address water damage but many other contributing factors to sick building syndrome.

Yes, there are many complexities… Best to get a professional to help you determine the source of the mold
