@@daylangio actually. I was able to put the seat down flat. And it fit with plenty of space. Very happy I didn't have to remove the seat.

I personally run a skar audio RP 1500.1 on a sundown audio sa12 and love it its not the biggest or the baddest but it's a well built quality budget amplifier and has given me no problems whatsoever.

I have 1 Skar zvx-12v2 with a Skar 1500.1D pushing it. That being said, it hits very hard but I’m also a bit of a rookie. I’ve had them both for a few years and they haven’t let me down. Great equipment 👍🏻

Been using this amp for over two months now and all I can say is wow it really performs love it I have it set at 2 ohm on 2 12 kenwood Exelon subs amazing performance

I got Skar Audio 10" version (their Kerf ported box and SDR 10"). It sounded good out of the box, but I lined the inside of the enclosure with "Boom Mat". Now it sounds smoother and cleaner. The low-lows are warmer.

Funny thing is Skar has been kicking a lot of name brand buts lately, not only in pure SPL but SQ to. Its interesting they have some seriously legit stuff for such a low cost. i have been impressed by there products major bang for the buck.

@@rcnative4988 i finally decided to go with US Acoustics for my amplifiers and ordered them all they are very hight grade amps that just might meat your wattage needs and be very hight quality not the cheapest but not the most expensive

First thing I thought was dang Steve looks 40 lbs lighter! I been trying to get a build started with all skar and knukonceptz stuff. This would be a dream come true

SKAR is like the Baby/Budget sundown.. but hey if it gets the job done for little $ then HELL Yeah.. 900 watts more than the rated wattage is crazy under-rated.. Kudos to Skar Audio

my buddy has 2 12’s from skar with the 1200 watt amp and they HIT. hes had them for ab a year and still running strong so if yall are saying they suck and they blow quick thats something wrong on your part

I love my Skar LP-750.1D hooked up to 2 Skar EV12 D4 shallow 12"s. They're installed in compact sealed boxes firing down in my hatchback. Gives me enough thump and I can still haul all kinds of stuff in my daily driver!

Wow. I can not wait to install this along side the prefab 10s from scar. Got them as an early Christmas gift and all I have to do is throw in a good LOC and I’m set. 🤪

Wow I literally was going back and forth in my head about this amp and speaker about 3 hrs ago so at this point I’m about to order two amps right now from the site

I freaking love skar amps!! I have four Ct sounds tropo 10's and two marine skar audio 1500.1 rp.. 2 subs per amp and both wired to one ohm and each sub rated at 900 watts max and I been beating the hell out of it and ik it's bad but I have stock alternator but one yellowtop optima I keep charged but it's been over a year now and still beating in my 3 to1 fourth order but the moral of the story is skar amps are 💪💪💪

I’ve had skar as my first sub ever. My amp went into protect mode and the costumer service was amazing. Quick responses and got me a new amp

Just got my 1200.1 the other day, I knew that it was capable of pushing at least 1,600 from other amp dyno and Steve just proved that fact. Its a compact beast! If it's skar audio' and says 1200 watts RMS best believe.. I cant imagine what the 4500.1 will do??

I had 2 VD10 at 4 Ohm, Wired down to 2 Ohm and they handled about 1200 watts for three years. Lots of travenling across country and eveything and one of them started going out but I would slam them every day as hard as they would go for hours a day, great subs for cheap.

@@AnAngryMuppet89 on Skars website the SDR 12 can handle 1200 max/600 rms, so the 1200.1d at 1 ohm would be good and the 1500.1d would be plenty of power with extra left over.

I've got 2 of these amps, one is powering an SDR-12 (2 ohm DVC) in a ported box that I built, and the other powers 2 SDR-12 in a Skar built box (bought it to see if I would like a ported box. Yep, I'm sold). Very impressed with Skar audio products. And by the way, the single SDR-12 is handling the power of that RP.1200-1D that it's wired to fine, but of course, I do have the bass knob turned down.

I ordered the 1500. My first BIG AMP. I k ow but for me biggest I've ever had was a kicker 800.1. I. 41 and excited like a damn 20yr old kid

I got this amp and 2 of their shallow 10s in a little down fire ported box under back seat of crew cab silverado. Same amp kit. Pioneer HU. Nothing major , but something for me to get in that zone for a bit when im not loaded with kids. I have atleast 2 -3 hours windshield time everyday in 100°+ 90%humidity of East Texas and I run THE SHIT outta them and it ain't no joke. My littlest boy is always outside when I come to get him because he hears me half a mile down the road 😁😎

Live the rp 1200. Outve all the rp series it's performed the best for me.

I’m running 2 skar sdr 18s on the Skar RP2000.1 and it fkin bangs . All for a little over 500 bucks can’t beat it for the money

Running two vvx v3 10" powered by the rp 1500d under my seat of my chevy crew and they absolutely slam. Have tx 6.5 components in front doors and tx 6.5 coax in rear doors powered by the rp150.4 that sound amazing.

Looks like a solid sub, no voice coil rattling.

I got an RP-800.1 pushing an SVR-12D2 wired to 1ohm. The amp gain is set at 25-26volts. That shit hits hard and smooth. I have only had it together for a week and love it.

How’s it holding up?

I could really use the wire kit that came with all that, but love the vids keep up the good work.

I been running this for a year. Smoked the first pair of subs, they replaced under warranty. I was careful to break them in a bit and make sure my input signal wasnt ‘as’ clipped and they have been performing fine since.

I had an all Skar Audio system in my Trailblazer. First month it was a amazing then it all went to shit. I even made a video on it. They are poorly made imo. My 4 channel amp kept cutting in and out. 3 of the 4 crossovers on the TX6.5cs literally burnt up. Like they popped and smoked out my truck. 2 of the tweeters blew out.

I'm rocking an RP-1500 on an EVL-12 in a ranger and I couldn't be happier. Been playing full tilt for over 8 months now and it shows no signs of stopping.

just got my 2 VD-12's dual 4ohm subs... Running currently a DB Euphoria MX1200.1 to them. However, I have been eyeballing this very amp to power them!!!! Running subs parallel . Don't have amp dialed in yet as I am just getting back in the audio game a bit!

I've always been a Sundown guy but I just recently bought 2 12" skar vxf subwoofers. These things pound and for the price it's a better value compared to the Sundown SA subs. IMO.

yo i actually bought one of these for my birthday! i got the 1200.1 with the ddx-12, and both the sub and amp have handled basically everything ive thrown at it. the sub itself could probably handle even more than what the 1200 puts out.

meade916 amp gains were not set properly on the orion xtr2500 i had to adjust the gains but still that orion is to much for them ddx15s Once i adjusted the gains they run cool.love your vids steve

You are correct; audio back then was low wattage and extremely high priced! My first system in high school was in my Honda CRX that included “the Punch 45” amp and (1) “the Punch 15” sub” and luckily I took carpentry 1 & 2 in Vo-Tech so I was able to build my own enclosure that was to spec and perfect! Now in my area of South Ms. everybody else was still installing (4) Pioneer/Kenwood 6”x9” speakers with big Pioneer/Kenwood 4 channel amps so I was “🔊King👑” once I came rolling up with my Rockford Fosgate audio in my car. I was the first person in my area with a powered subwoofer compared to everyone else’s SCREAMING 6x9’s or their Parent’s Pioneer house speakers in the back seat with at most a radio shack booster/equalizer. I had moved to a rural small town community from the city so these folk had NEVER seen such components! It sounded great for those days in the 80’s and then later I upgraded with a swap to a HiFonics “CYCLOPS” (100x1) mono class D amp (BEST EVER) and swapped my Punch 15” sub out with a Kicker 15” in same sealed 3’ cubic foot sealed enclosure and thought it was going to blow my hatch off! OMG what a difference that swap made was day/night. The Cyclops was pure power unlike peak power of most all other amps of that time. It didn’t take long to catch on and everybody was getting a Punch 45 w/ Punch 15” sub. This was before it was referred to a Rockford Fosgate; back then was called and labeled “the Punch” Lol! I have their DDX-12 and I'm running the Orion XTR-2250 "the beast" ...and that sub sounds badass... My brother wants one now. So I'm upgrading to the VXF-12 1500rms -3000 max. Haven't tried their amps yet but thinking about getting one
