Teddy, I have been collecting for 2 years now, and the Bambino Gen 2 was what I chose for a dress watch, even over $1000 Swiss and German choices. I have been wearing it as a daily for a month now and it is incredible. Stunning watch and your reviews helped me purchase. Really great value for money.
Teddy, you're picks are spot on. I absolutely love your selections. The tank, the Hamilton field, my God. What a way to start an episode
I’ve always looked at Omega as being well known for their divers in the beginning. Before the speedy the Seamaster’s were around, but they’ve changed so much throughout the years. My first is the SMP 300m “great white” I finally saved enough to get this watch. It may be cliche but I’m shooting for a ceramic sub next. Although the Cartier Santos is one I’ve always thought should be in the conversation for collectors watches.
Definitely agree with the Hamilton Khaki. Bought the Khaki Field Automatic as my first watch and wear it every day. Still obsessed with it and has really opened me up to the world of watches. Hoping to get a PRX Powermatic next
I wouldn't have considered a Tissot before the PRX, but now I love mine. That brand did nothing for me, but this latest group of offerings is incredible from them.

What benefits it was supposed to reap for you??
Teddy - this is awesome. My collection so far is fairly off the beaten path in terms of “classics” so it’s nice to see what might be a great next option. Santos de Cartier, Vostok Amphibian, Omega DeVille, Zenith Calendar (Vintage Gold), and a Victorinox Quartz Chrono.

The Explorer 124270 is one of those watches that you need to live with in order to appreciate. When I first picked up my Exp 36 it wore like no other watch I’ve owned or worn. I’d felt odd in size. After a week I can say it is the best balanced, best wearing, a subtle perfect watch .
I went for the alternatives - SM300 , Willard, Pogue,Murph, Lunar Pilot, T-Touch, Laco Buhr.... Seems like I also get watches with names rather than long reference numbers 🤣 Good video, thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
One worry I think some have about the PRX is the size which was slightly addressed with the new 35mm quartz options, but still left those who desire an auto in the lurch. However I recently saw that there is an 18k gold fluted bezel version of the 35mm which features an automatic movement which just released, so it shouldn't be too long before the 35's get an auto too, which will open up a whole new world for a lot of smaller wrists

Well I have to agree with this list as a proud owner of the G-Shock Oak and the open heart Orient Bambino and currently looking for wether the Tudor or stretching to the Grand Seiko Snowflake. And that PRX can't be ignored... Very well picked
I got the 35mm light blue PRX for my girl as her first "real" watch. She hasnt taken it off for weeks and I think it's safe to say we have a new quartz collector in the community

Love these types of videos, Teddy. Keep it up!
Really great macroscopic video, great and fair pics, well explained. As always the breadth and depth of your knowledge and quality of your videos sets the standard. Great to see the Tissot PRX feature. It really is a game change for quality vs value. Not sure there’s any watch at the quality until you get to over 5x the price point ! Broadly agree with the pics…although feel maybe Longines and Tag Heuer deserve honourable mentions….maybe instead of Orient…..but then we get into subjective territory! Great job. Great quality. Thank you for making these.
Just bought my first real watch - Tissot Prx green waffle. All thanks to your video on it!
I like the JLC Reverso, if you put it on the brown polo strap it really tones it down. I also have the black alligator for dress up. This one watch, with 2 straps, is the best all-around watch for a one watch collect. With 2 faces and 2 straps, it's like 4 watches in 1.
Great list, so many to choose from but you really narrowed it down well, across a great variety of watches.
Great video, I am new to watches but can sense your passion for watches!

All great picks! I was actually expecting to see the Omega Seamaster as well, but you had already included the Speedy, and then remembered, only one entry per watch brand.
Thanks for this video, Teddy! I'm looking to get a Orient, JLC Reverso and Cartier soon. Loving my Rolex Submariner, Tissot PRX, Casio Oak, Seiko and Rado Xeramo. 😊⌚️
I would add the Seiko Aplinist SARB 017 to the list. Also the Seiko SARB 065 Cocktail time. The Rolex Datejust - all models - is also a staple.
Great video! Helps me to figure nd where o want to start my collection.
Love your videos - keep it up. Would love to see more videos with CR to hear her opinion on additional watches. She has great taste!
Even if I disagree sometimes, this is a vlog of integrity. I love this channel. A tribute to Teddy.
Bravo!! Excellent selection of watches most of us enthusiasts love wholeheartedly. As a collector of mostly entry-level watches, my favorites here are definitely the "CasiOak", the Bambino and the PRX. I own all 3 of them, and I agree with everything you said about them!
Great video, Teddy. I know you mentioned the Omega Speedmaster. The Omega Constellation annual calendar green dial is also stunning and under appreciated by watch enthusiasts in the US. Another is the Omega Seamaster…..classic and timeless watch. You can never get tired of this divers watch. Breitling has really made a nice comeback lately. The “pistachio “ dial has been sought after and a challenge to get at retail. IWC spitfire with the bronze bezel is also a classic pilot watch and at an affordable price point for watch collectors. Thank you for all you your reviews!

The Orient Bambino I think is sensational, and this is coming from someone who owns Rolex, Omega and LJC. I love the Tissot PRX auto in the blue dial. I got sucked into the Black Bay back in the day but the case shape is horrible. The BB58 is the only BB you should consider. The SKX is a fun piece and I have many SKX-focussed mods. If you want SKX fun make one yourself from aftermarket parts/mod stores. The snowflake is a great piece but I can't get into GS steel bracelet watches because I don't like their bracelets.
I think we need part 2 of this video. So many brands out there that have great watches

Gifted my brother a Tissot PRX - the most striking aspect is the quality. He loves it. And many watch enthusiasts have asked him about it.
That Patek....breath-takin...Thank you!
If you could include a 2nd one from any brand I'd say Omega Aqua Terra, very widely appreciated and I've never come across anyone who is negative about it.
Hi Teddy, love your videos. I wanted to ask if you could do a video on Marine Chronometers? Not sure how much information is out there on this type of watch style though, would be great if you could share more about it.
Well, I've got one of the twelve. It's coming up on a month since my Reverso Tribute in Burgundy arrived at the AD. I thought about this watch for three years and it was worth every penny. Maybe there'll be Tank Louis in my future, but for now I'm definitely set when it comes to squared-off watches.
Hi Teddy, love all your videos. Excellent choice. I would add Longines HydroConquest, Zulu time and Flagship Heritage. All for the reasons of the combination of quality/look/price/Swiss/some heritage.

Love my casioak, just had it modified and it hasn't left my wrist for weeks.
Back in 1988 -1990 I had a stainless steel G-Shock. It came with a rubber wrist strap that I didn't like so I gave it a nice Seiko style clasp wristband that matched the brush grain perfect. I wore it on my wrist as I visited a pawn shop in Orlando on 441 trail. The pawn shop owner liked it so much that he offered me the jewelled movement multilanguage Seiko day/date that I recognized as his Vietnam conflict era purchase - that he had bought it while in Saigon. We traded. The gasket on my new Seiko let sea water in. It quit working. An old german watchmaker in Charlestown, S.C. fixed it for $275. I returned to Orlando and some guy raised his wrist up showing me his watch as he left a burner with his corvette. Hey that guy's rubbing it in that he got over on me! Nah. I got the better watch! I don't want to know.

The Citizen "Lefty" automatic diver deserves at least an honourable mention in comparison to the SKX. It was for some time the official dive watch of the Italian Navy (Marina Militare). Unlike the SKX you can still find new examples quite cheaply, and the newer uprated models with sapphire crystals and hacking movements are much cheaper than NOS SKXs.

I totally agree with all choice. Well done. Start up with my favorite hamilton and end up with a dream Patek Phillipe. Its like a well served fine dine.
I've been collecting over the past 15 years and I like designs from the four and five hundred range and many of those are Seiko and one Tissot. I have one higher end which is a Tag Heuer Carrera and I'm considering saving for a spring drive design. I understand that the King Seiko model offers one. So which would be the better choice Ted, the King or Grand Seiko?
Great presentation, I would have included also an IWC portuguese and a Zenith Chronomaster. For the entry budget, I would have included a citizen "solar" (eco-drive) diver watch. Finaly for the cartier, I prefer the "American" tank, much more elegant thant the regular tank.

Hey Teddy, been loving the videos, the passion that you and Kevin show for watches is what originally got me into collecting as well. Just a quick question, I'm torn between whether I should buy my grail watch or not. My grail watch is the Speedy 'Moon Watch' and it is quite an expensive watch for myself as my price range at the moment is around 1000-3000 AUD and the speedy sits around 8000-10,000AUD. I don't particularly want to just go out and buy the speedy now because I feel I'll be left feeling like "Okay, what now", and then any watch I buy after then I feel won't compare. In my eyes I feel like I will get more enjoyment and appreciation out the purchase if I work my way towards it and in maybe 5-10 years time I buy it as a reward for myself on a special occasion. At the same time I don't want to wait so long and miss out on the watch either or have it go up in value and out of my price range. So I guess my question is, should I go out and buy my grail watch now (within the next year or so), even though it's abit out of my price range, or should I be patient and wait for the right time down the track. As a side question as I'm still quite new to collecting, do you see the moon watch being discontinued soon at all and what do you estimate the price value over time to be for the watch? Thanks again Teddy, Jack.

Personally if you haven’t already, get one or two nice but inexpensive pieces first then save up and splurge on that grail piece. That way you have something to enjoy while you get the money together for the Speedy. I started out with a Seiko Penguin and recently a blue PRX automatic. Now I’m on the waitlist for a Rolex Explorer.
Ben, just a word regarding Seiko versus Citizen idea. A few years ago I bought a Seiko watch which was solar-powered. I was having an issue with it and knew I was coming close to the warranty expiration. I had held on for an exorbitant amount of time to speak with a customer service representative. In the background, I heard a very busy call center. Since I had managed a network operations center and knew how insanely busy those offices could be I asked the young woman if there was a better time I could contact her. She told me that the following Monday would be a much better time for her. I took her at her word and contacted her the following Monday as she had suggested. I was terribly disappointed when she told me that my warranty had expired. I said that I presumed since I had begun a ticket number that my warranty expiration date I would be covered. She told me no, that was not true. Needless to say, I have never bought another Seiko since that phone call. As Citizen watches are just a dash more money, if I'm looking for a watch in that price point, I will ALWAYS BUY A CITIZEN. ALWAYS. Since that time, I've moved up to Omega, Tissot, and Carl F. Bucherer watches. If I might suggest, it doesn't take that much effort for watch collectors to move up to higher prices watches, and doing so does not require that much work. The watches are much nicer, hold their value longer, and often increase in value. The last note can allow collectors to make money while enjoying collecting watches. What could be more fun than that?
I would include the Seiko 5. Great Video!
The Bambino is my fav 'smart, casual' look. I just can't stop looking at it when I wear it :)
